FAIRY GARDEN SPRING NOTEBOOK | with Miguel

Without a doubt, notebooks are something that I particularly like to do, since you can give them a personal touch and decorate them the way you like.  I created this notebook with an idea that I saw on social media,  and I worked to create my own version. What is different about this notebook is that on its cover you place acrylic beads with different colors and designs to add more fun to the project.

I punched holes with a Crop-a-dile on the upper and lower part of the cover and I strung beads on the thread to make four columns then fastened the thread with the eyelets.  I loved the result!  I bound my notebook with my Cinch tool.  I used doodlebug's Fairy Garden Collection to line my covers and decorated with odds & ends, stamps and shaped sprinkles.

Thanks for stopping by and reading, see you soon!

LOTS OF LOVE DAILY DOCUMENTING | with Nathalie

I am an avid daily documenter.  Small format documenting is probably my most favorite way to keep my daily memories.   I keep a few different small format  albums throughout the year.  Today, I want to share a bit of my personal album, and how I am using the Lots of Love collection.

My personal journal this year is in a 6x8 format, and I keep a combination of pocket pages, small layouts and large photos in it.

For my first  project, I combined a large photo with a small companion layout, and as you can see it documents a cute mug, tea and coffee!!

The large Chit Chat pieces make perfect titles for the large photos.  Here, I added a few extra embellishments and one of the tea tags.

I opted for some Petite Prints for the background of my page. I added one of the large cut apart cards to the page, then layered elements behind the photo before attaching it to the page.    One of my favorite stickers is the little mug, so it was perfect to add it here!

I used the back of page to create a small layout using the mail theme of the Lots of Love collection.

I have tons of rolls of washi tape, but I honestly can say that the new stamp washi tape roll is probably one of my favorites... All the cute stickable stamp seals are to die for, and also perfect to layer!

I am so happy when I find the perfect pieces for my projects, and that mail box is just perfection!

I hope these have inspired you, and gave you a small glimpse of my personal documenting.  Remember to document all your moments, and if you use Doodlebug cuteness, even better!  xo

PETITE PRINTS LEPRECHAUN HATS | with Kathy

With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, I was curious... what do you call a group of leprechauns?  Is it a pack, like wolves?  Or maybe a murder, like crows?  I did finally google this question and though there is no official name, one person suggested that they be called a "Luck" of leprechauns, which I thought was perfect!

I'm attending an in-person crop which starts on St. Patrick's Day, and wanted to make a little something special for my friends.  I came up with these cute little Leprechaun hat treat holders.  I got the original idea from a cut file I saw that was a wrap used to decorate a little paper cup.  I didn't have any paper cups so I decided to make my own.  Take a peek...

To make the hats, I started with this Coffee Cup SVG file from Lori Whitlock.  I deleted the cover and wrap pieces.  I then resized the body of the cup to be 3.25" high.  I pieced together the cup using some Gingham Linen Limeade Petite Prints. For the hat base I cut a circle about 3.125" in diameter.  For the black band I cut a strip Beetle Black Daisy Stripe Petite Prints approx. 0.5" x 6.5" and wrapped it around the bottom of the hat.  To finish I used the buckle piece from the Happy Go Lucky Leprechaun Hat SVG.

I love the Petite prints, not only because they match all of Doodlebug's Collections, but you can get a different look by just flipping the paper over!  The two hats below were made from the same exact papers, just the opposite sides!

The fun part was decorating the hats with cute little shamrocks from the Happy Go Lucky Shamrocks SVG.  For the little tag, I printed out Irish Kisses & Shamrock Wishes on some Limeade Floral Graph Petite Prints, sized to fit on the tag from the Tiny Tags Doodle Cuts, cut them out and finished them with some Doodle Twine.   (the inside area of the tag is approx .75" x 1.25")

Now for the reason behind my first question about naming a group of Leprechauns... I created a bunch of these little hats, and just needed to know!

Wishing you all a little Luck O' the Irish this St. Patrick's Day!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
