Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here and I’m excited to share another layout using the Sweet & Spooky collection. Here’s my page:
To start, I selected a few 12x12 patterned papers that matched my photo. My son was a skeleton one year and wanted me to take a photo of him next to some of our decorations. So of course, I chose the papers that had a lot of black and orange in them. I went with Halloween Night and Hallo-Weave. I trimmed them down, layered them together, tore the bottom edges and adhered them to a piece of white cardstock.
Next, I matted my photo using a few papers from the 6x6 paper pad. I distressed the edges and popped it up on foam tape. Once I adhered it down, I chose my title from the Chit Chat pack and adhered it right on top of my photo.
I then went through the Odds & Ends pack and chose the larger characters as my main embellishments. The skeleton piece was perfect since it looked just like my son’s costume. I also chose the Frankenstein and Dracula pieces. I popped them up on foam tape and before I stuck them down, I thought they needed a little something else behind them. I went through the pack some more and pulled out the acetate spider webs. They couldn’t be any more perfect! A simple pop of color!
I’ve said this several times before.. but I LOVE this collection. The colors and elements are just so much fun!! I embellished using the Hello Sugar Doodlepop and also added in some of the Puffy Icons, and Hocus Pocus Shape Sprinkles. I wanted a sprinkle of color all over the page.
Here’s one last shot of this fun page. I originally wanted the color scheme to be mainly orange and black, but I couldn’t resist adding in the purples, pinks, blues and a bit of green!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope that I’ve inspired you in some way! Have you had a chance to pick up this collection? There are so many different embellishments in it. It’s perfect for so many of your Halloween memories!
