CANDY CARNIVAL POCKET PAGE RAK | with Anabelle

One thing I love about being a part of the Planner Community, and the larger Paper Crafting community as well, is the generosity and sense of camaraderie among their members. Sending RAKs (random acts of kindness) has always been the norm. But, more recently, Pocket Letters have become popular. The letters are usually page protectors filled with decorative goodies for the recipient to be able to use on their planner pages, cards or layouts. Today, I'm sharing some Halloween themed Pocket Letters that I created specifically for a planner friend. They can be tucked inside a planner if need be. I love how they turned out.

I chose a theme for each pocket letter. This first one is a pumpkin theme.  On this letter, I started off by cutting some patterned paper for the top pocket. I slid in a tag with some washi tape on it and added a Doodlepop pumpkin on top of the protector. For the smaller pockets, I slid in a few shape sprinkles in one and added some sequins into the other. Some washi tape seals the sequin pocket. A journaling card and some more stickers decorate the bottom pocket. I added a Chit Chat ('boo') to the outside of the pocket, as well.  To finish this pocket off, I added some washi and hot glued some pom pom trim to the edge. I tied some twine into a bow at the top and added a cute spider brad to the center of the bow.

Here's a close up of the washi card. I always love carrying these in my planner, as washi can be used for so many things.

This next page has a Spooky Trick or Treaters theme. I designed in a similar way to the pumpkin Pocket Letter. Instead of adding washi to the top tag, I tucked a couple of Jelly Clips onto the tag.  I love the Googly Eyes shaped spinkles and had to add them onto the page, too. I tied the twine into a bow on the side of the page, again, but added a tag instead of the brad. Small stickers decorate the tag. 

On this page, I added the Spooky Chit Chat and hot air balloon Die Cut from the Odds and Ends pack. In order to allow the recipient of the letter to reuse the die cuts, I adhered them with some washi, so they they could be easy removed.

This last picket letter has a candy theme. I added candy brads and shaped sprinkles, along with the sequins, die cuts and tags. I love how yummy everything looks!

I love using the small clothespins as embellishments. Here, they look as if they are holding the banner on the page.
