3D Ice Cream Truck with Sizzix and Doodlebug by Jennifer Beason

Hi Doodlebug fans! Jennifer here for the Doodlebug / Sizzix Team Up!  For my project I decided to convert an old wood truck into an ice-cream van. With all the cute ice-cream and popsicle icons in the Sunkissed collection, I couldn't resist using it to create this project.
I think this would be a fun decoration at an ice-cream party or summer-get-together.  I had a great time experimenting with the embossing folders and mixing the die-cuts with my existing Doodlebug stash.
Okay! So let's go over some of the details. Below, you can see I used an Eyelet Lace Decorative Strip along with a scalloped border sticker, to decorate the front of the van. A die cut flower, sprinkles and a flower sticker from the collection, were also used to embellish the borders.
For the awning I used the Scalloped Decorative Die. The strip was a little big, so I cut it to size, then embossed it with the Dots #7 Embossing Folder. A thin rectangular strip was attached to the scalloped one, then folded, as shown. A orange scalloped border was then cut into single scallops, embossed and attached to the awning. More die cut flowers, leaf sprinkles and some jewels were used to embellish the awning, before it was attached to the van. I also added some vellum to the inside of the windows to create the look of sliding shutters.
To create the bumper, some grey cardstock was embossed with the Tiny Daisies Embossing Folder, cut to shape and applied to the front of the van. The headlights were created using chipboard circles, buttons and jewels. Just for fun, I also added the "you are my sun shine" 2 x 2 patterned paper block to the front of the vehicle.
Some cardstock was embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and applied to the doors and front of the van, adding lots of "yummy" texture to the piece.
Some stickers, a large flower die cut and some more small flowers were used to decorate the front of the van.
Die cut flower centers were used on the center of each wheel and buttons were added to finish them off.
Thanks for checking out my project and don't forget to check out the Sizzix blog for more inspiration too.  Jennifer
