HOME SWEET HOME ALBUM HELLO AGAIN MINI | with Lisa

This week, I allowed myself a small break from Christmas scrapping and used one of my favorite Doodlebug collections , the wonderful Hello Again!  I used it to decorate my Home Sweet Home chipboard album.

This would be such a cool gift for friends and family!  Whether they just moved into a new house,  or to document the first year or special occasion in a new house, it's perfect! The vibes of the Hello Again collection are sooo happy and fun and like I said a few times already, I LOVE all the gold in it.

To make the cutting of the pattern papers for the pages easier and faster this time, I created cut files and let my Silhouette do the cutting work :) For the curtains, I just cut out triangles and adhered them to the back of the windows. I also used hanging flowerpot stickers to add behind the windows, looks cute... :)

As a tassel, I added shimmering tulle to one of the binding rings, (which I replaced by teal ones) and I also added two little charmers!

Let's take a peek into the album...

Some journaling spots and die cuts...

A piece of the lovely gold dotted acetate...

For the pages of the album, I tried to an assortment of the embellishments from the collection. I also cut out a page from the gold dots acetate sheet. I love the page with the dimensional butterflies and the pink one with all the stickers around the borders.  I added some tulle on two of the pages, which I think looks so cute. I always need to think of leaving some space for the photos, otherwise I would never stop decorating and wouldn't have any pages left for photos... ;) Try making your own Home Sweet Home album, it's so much fun! See you soon...

HOME SWEET HOME CHIPBOARD ALBUM | with Niella

Ho, ho, ho it's nearly Christmas! Hi there crafty crew, it's Niella here showing casing a Home Sweet Home chipboard album with the newest Doodlebug Design collection Gingerbread Kisses! It is everything sweet, cute and cheerful, yay! Whether you create an album to keep or gift, this 7x5" album comes with a rooftop piece, 2 covers, 4 divider pages and 4 more pages and two binder rings. All you need to do is add what you'd like; so darling!

First, I started by deciding what paper I should use for the cover - I love a good woodgrain paper, especially in pink! This paper is from the Buffalo Check Woodgrain Petite Prints collection, isn't it perfect? I love that it matches the polka dot paper - Holiday Sprinkles so well. Santa is waving hi, come see what's in store :-)

Choo-choo! All aboard the cutest mini train around - it's Gingy and his sweet little friends, fresh from the oven. The white cardstock pieces are completely removable so you can add hidden journaling, a photo, a quote or even a fave recipe. Don't you just adore a double page spread and extra cred for being in a mini album!

I adore these four next pages! I've used the adorable acetate after cutting a peek-a-boo window. Journal and add to your heart's desire with extra cute ephemera pieces, pom-pom trim from your stash, stickers and Sprinkles! Love those Shaped Sprinkle gumdrops!

I had this idea to add these quarter pages on the right as dividers to store recipes and memories in between. Simple print out and push holes and file away. I love easy peasy! Hands up all you sugar cookies lovers out there! ME!

After the recipe dividers we have an acetate sheet with sugar cookie ephemera pieces from the super sweet odds and ends ephemera pack! There is 139 pieces in ONE pack, so many wonderful options! Each sugar cookie is secured on with a mini Doodlebug brad. So mini, so charming!

Skipping ahead these next four pages have an endless possibility of uses! I have created tuck spots, hidden elements and interactive areas! There's fun to be had for years to come when this album is looked back on. Turn your merry memories into core memories!

And the last four pages feature another cut out window; but this one has a double circle fun ephemera piece with both a gingerbread and Santa over some Doodle Twine to spin! Yet another fun and easy accent to create. How about twisting it up, closing the album, and when opened the faces spin and untwist, love an interactive element, do you!

Check out the video flip through - you'll see all the removable, fun and interactive elements. Thank you so much for popping by today and don't forget to tag us in our Doodlebug Designs projects on your Socials; we ADORE seeing what you've created. Until next time crafty crew - doodle dee!

HOME SWEET HOME CHIPBOARD ALBUM - HELLO AGAIN | with Nathalie

I hope you have all been enjoying all the inspiration using the new Home Sweet Home Chipboard Album. Well, I have a new idea for your albums and one of my favorite Doodlebug collections, Hello Again.

I wanted something that could house everyday memories in a cute way. So, I decided to go for a simple design for the cover of the album. I used Petite Prints and Hello Again as well as the templates included in the album package.

I decided to split the inside pages on an easy formula for photos and journaling. I am using simple pages for photos, with interactive pages with space for journaling and extra photos. I repeat this throughout the album.

In addition, I am opting for using a combination of simple Petite Prints with patterned papers from the Hello Again collection for each of the page stops. This helped me to easily combine patterns, and embellish the page.

I love large photos, and each page of the album can easily accommodate a 5x7 photo per page. So, I decided to pair the large photo with an interactive element. Gotta love how easily the patterned papers combine in each Doodlebug collection.

As I moved through the album, I made sure to stay with one of the collection colors as the starting point for the page. It made it easier to keep the album and patterned papers coherent and fun without overwhelming the pages as it album progressed.

I hope this inspired you to take a look at the new Doodlebug House Chipboard Albums. You are going to love personalizing them with your favorite collections.  XO!
