DOWN ON THE FARM BOX CARD | with Wanda

Howdy everyone! Wanda here, with another fun project made with the Down on the Farm Collection! Have you enjoyed all the farm projects? It's really great to work with an older collection and bring it back with some fresh and new ideas. All the elements and images in this collection are so happy and fun. Today I decided to make a Pop-Up Birthday card with that adorable barn and a cute cow and some chickens! Happy Birthday to MOOOOOO! This card came together easily with a Pop-Up card die, and the Chit Chat and Odds & Ends packs. I custom made an envelope, and this card fits flat for mailing or giving.

Here's a top down view of the card so you can see all the different papers and elements. I used green gingham for the 'ground' pieces and that pretty buffalo check for the outer shell of the card. I placed the barn in the back first, then the fence in front. Then I mixed and matched pieces until I got just the right look!

One tip - use a white gel pen on your design pieces to add a bit of a highlight!

This is the back of the card - with that sweet sentiment!

The whole card folds flat! You can put it right into an envelope. In this case, the barn and sun extend over the back of the card base. Because of that, I needed a bigger envelope. If you keep the elements inside the outer area of the card die then it would fit into an A2 envelope. It's fine with me, because I love to make custom, matching envelopes with the same papers from my cards.

Here is my fun envelope! It's a 6" x 6" square envelope. There's extra room so it doesn't get squished! I used the same cow and chickens on the envelope so it is totally custom.

I made a little envelope seal too!

DOWN ON THE FARM CARDS | with Lisa

Do you have some farm photos or cute farm animal photos you want to scrap? Well here's the perfect collection for you. This week we got to work with Doodlebug Design's collection Down on the Farm and I love it!

I don't think I made cards since I've been on the Doodlebug design team, so this time, I decided to make some small cards. There's this adorable patterned paper included in the collection where you have nine bandanas in different colors and I absolutely fell in love with it! So it was clear to me, that I needed to use this paper. I cut all the squares apart, distressed the edges and then created white card bases for them .

Then I went through all of the embellishments and created clusters, adhering the different pieces with liquid glue, foam tape and foam squares to have different dimensions.
I used Odds & Ends, Icon Stickers, Doodle Pops, Jewels, sprinkles and shaped sprinkles and colored thread.

I love going through everything and choosing stuff that goes together, creating little scenes and topping them off with Jewels and enamel dots. I also always add some highlights with a white pen to have even more dimension.

I really enjoy using cut apart papers like this one with embellishments. It makes it super easy to create cute cards that you can keep in a drawer and use anytime you need them. The Chit Chit die cuts are also always a plus, because you don't need to think about finding a cute quote or sentiment, there's everything you need in the die cut pack. For each card I tried to find a sentiment that would match the animal I used on it. :)

Here are all the cards I created... My favorite one is the blue one with the barn and cow... I just love that color-combo.

That's it, it was as easy as that :)  Thank you for stopping by and see you soon with another Down on the Farm project.

DOWN ON THE FARM PORTRAIT CUBE | with Miguel

Do you have unused or undecorated pieces of wood in your craft stash? Well, today I show you a fun and useful way to decorate them . A few days ago, I found this wooden cube among my things, and I decided to paint and decorate it with doodlebug Down on the Farm collection. Since it was a cube shape, I decided to make a photo "frame" on each side of this piece.

I first cut slightly smaller cardboard frames for each side of the cube. I decorated the open "window: of the frame with some papers from the collection and also added a piece of acetate to protect the photo that will be placed there.

I love the bandana designs.  They look great in the frame when it doesn't hold a photo.

I added a little farm animal from the mini icons for each side of the cube.  On the upper part I created a farm with my Doodle pop to be the center of my project.

I hope you are inspired to create a cube of your own!  Thank you for stopping by!
