Hey friends! Brianna here today and I've got another layout using the super cute Summer Fun collection. Back in 2014, we were stationed in Hawaii for 3 years and we spent a lot of our time on the beach! These photos were taken on our last day on island before we moved back to the mainland and I'll never forget it. We played tourist and did all of the touristy type things that we hadn't done the years that we spent there. It was so much fun! Here's my page:
To start, I chose the Summer Fun 12x12 paper and cut into it at an angle. I distressed the edges of the paper and then before adhering it to a piece of white cardstock, I added some fun ink blended circles using a few Distress Oxide inks. I love the way the patterned paper and inked blended circles look together. I'm also digging the color palette in this collection. It's so bright and fun!
I matted my photos using the 6x8 Paper Pad and popped them both up on foam tape. I arranged them sort of in the center of my layout, so that I'd have plenty of room for my title and embellishments to go around it. I added a large palm tree from the Odds and Ends pack and tried to include a lot more tropical type embellishments as well. They had to match the island vibes in the photos!
I chose "The Good Life" for my title since it seemed very fitting. We sure did live the good life out in Hawaii! The pineapple and hibiscus flower in the word 'good' also helped go with the Hawaii theme as well. Talk about the perfect fit!! I framed the title a bit by adding in the seagull and toucan from the Tropical Trio Doodle-Pop. They're so cute!
I embellished the rest of my page by pulling in a few more Odds and Ends and then adding the "Aloha" sticker from the Puffy Stickers Words sheet. For some smaller finishing touches, I sprinkled in some florals from the Island Tropics Shape Sprinkles stickers, some Enamel Dots and then a few Puffy Stickers as well.
Here's one last look:
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! I'll see you in my next post friends! xo, Brianna
