SPECIAL DELIVERY HAPPY BOY LAYOUT | with Tya

Nothing is quite as cute as a baby's smile! It is always a special day when your new little bundle of joy flashes you their first few smiles - it makes all the crying, diaper changing, and sleepless nights totally worth it! I have some of the cutest nephews ever and I wanted to record these special, smiley days with them on this layout that I am sharing with you today. Here's my layout:

To create my layout, I used the adorable "Special Delivery" collection to create my layout and Oh BOY was it so fun to do. It was hard to pick just what decorative elements  I wanted to add to my layout because there were just too many darn cute ones!  I fell in love with that cute baby! He is a Doodlepop and he fit just perfect on this big white cardstock circle and yellow cardstock scallop circle that I cut out on my Silhouette. This was the perfect place for my title which was made using the words "Happy" and "Boy" that were in the Chit Chat Die Cuts. I added a cute blue dotted heart from the Odds and Ends Die-Cuts, the green shiny heart was on the same card as the Baby Doodlepop, and a green button tied with some white crochet thread.

The papers I used had some great patterns and I especially love the "It's a Boy" pattern paper.  This is the paper that is full of page borders. The green and yellow heart border and the teal stitched border is found on this paper and I placed it on top of the cute "Nursery Stripe" paper. I used the grey gingham side of the "Choo-Choo" paper for my background.

To balance out my layout, I added another yellow cardstock circle to the upper right corner of the layout. I layered this spot with some more of the cute stripe paper and one of the ric-rac "Paper Frills". The giraffe and bear are stickers found on the Icon sticker sheet.  The star is on the Doodlepop sheet.  The green heart is from the Chit Chat Die Cuts. I also used some of my new favorite embellishment- the Confetti Sprinkle Shapes to add the small enamel dots to the hearts found on the layout.

The bottom right corner is made with a simple arrow that says "Adorable" which is from the Chit Chat and the yellow safety pin is on the Doodlepop. The small green heart is from the Odds and Ends.

This was such a fun collection to work with. Doodlebug sure knows how to do cute and this collection is as cute as can be! I hope I have inspired you to create a layout featuring your little cutie-pie! The "Special Delivery" collection is wonderful and your projects will be treasured for years! Happy Crafting friends!
