IT'S ALL ABOUT THE HEARTS | Scrapbook Layout with Erica

Have I told you lately that I love cut files? Well I sure do and it is really hard for me not to use them on a project. I love to start with a blank piece of white cardstock and just bring it to life with a cut file backed with colorful paper! The time it takes to back the file is so worth the end result...trust me! Once you get started on them you will fall in love! Today I am sharing a colorful layout using a heart cut file. Hearta are one of my favorite shapes and pretty simple to back! If you are just getting started with cut files I suggest one with simple shapes or big titles.
I pulled out 12x12 papers from the Doodlebug Design dot-stripe packs to create my colorful layout. I backed each circle of hearts with a different color and I think the end result is so eye catching. I added foam tape to the back of the cut file and adhered down to a white piece of cardstock that I trimmed down to 11x11. I matted this piece to a colorful stripe pattern paper from the Simply Spring collection.
I kept the embellishments pretty light around my photo since I have so much pretty color from the backed cut file. I pulled out the Simply Spring odds & ends and found some cute pieces that worked with the two photos. Here is a look at my completed layout! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
