Doodlebug Design Robot Desk Organizer by Jennifer Beason

Hello Doodlebug fans! Jennifer here to share my "masculine" assignment with you. My little man loves robots and since I love to make them, I thought why not make one that's fun, as well as functional.
The robot was made out of chipboard and foam core, mostly. For the organizer the same materials were used along with some wood for the base. Thin wire, lids, screws and other metal things, I had around the house were also added to the mix.
For the color palette I chose some of my son's favorite colors red, teal, black and orange. I pulled papers from different collections, but the majority of them are from Doodlebug's Petite Prints and Kraft in Color lines.
Lots of brads, Sprinkles and buttons were used along with Silver Star Washi Tape, which was just the  perfect touch for the project!  I also used a Mini Paperclip to create the antenna.
Large metal hooks were attached to the arms for holding pencils and rulers.
Thin strips of patterned paper were attached to the chest of the robot, to give the illusion of lights. Pixies were glued around his feet, as well, to give the same illusion.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting! :) Jennifer
