Holiday Traditions: Monique's December Skating Tradition

Hi Doodlebug fans! I can't begin to tell you how much fun and satisfaction I get from scrapping with Doodlebug's happy and colorful collections! Every time I sit down with my photos and my Doodlebug collection of choice I 'm filled with this feeling of happiness!

The same happened when I scrapped this layout with photos of my kids taken a few years ago. Every year in December an ice skating-rink is installed in the city centre and my kids love to go ice skating there.

I really love how well the colors of Doodlebug's collection "Home for the Holidays" match the colors in my photos! And don't you just love this bow that comes with this collection?! Perfect for gift wrapping but also for layouts.

The "'T is the Season" flag is actually a pixie flag, but I cut off the holes and used it without the pixie.

The title was created using the sketch pen in my Silhouette Cameo. 

And I just adore the 3D stickers belonging to this collection, like Santa here:

Holiday Tradition: Christmas Eve with Stephanie

Hi, Stephanie here! Today I have my traditions layout to share with you.

Traditions are such an important part of the holidays for me, especially Christmas.

Although my family has many of them, the Christmas eve candlelight service at our church is my favorite tradition of all. 

Last year I took these pictures during it and have wanted to scrap them for a while, so this assignment came along and now I'm happy.

Home For The Holidays is such a great Christmas collection. I always like the shades of red and green that Doodlebug uses for their Christmas themes. I love the addition of grey and some of the sugar coated cardstock sheets make this collection super versatile.  

With this collection I like that you can either deck your layouts in full red and green color and patterns or you can let them be soft with the white and grey then add little pops of red and green where needed like I did with mine.

Whatever your holiday traditions may be, I think you'll find Home For The Holidays the perfect collection to tell their story.

Holiday Memories & Gift Candles by Jodi

Hi everyone! Jodi here today to share with you a couple of gifts that I made! The first gift I made is for my coworker, but she is much more than that to my family! I wanted to create a personalized gift since she helps so much with my three kids. I decorated a little house (Maya Road)  and added some winter pictures to tie in the whole winter scene.  

I used some Washi Tape to create the roof and added the fancy frill sticker at the bottom for a fun touch to the roof! I wanted to create garland so I diecut 6 hearts and added some bling to resemble Christmas Lights, and used the twine to hang the lights. I added the wreath sticker to the center of the roof to tie it all together:

I had one square left over and decided to create a little home scene with Doodlepops:

I love how this project turned out, and I hope she will love it too!

My next project I had both my older kids help me with! We created some candle holders by wrapping washi tape from the Home for the Holidays collection around each glass candle holder. We then added some die cut hearts to two sides  and of course the cute bows that tie it all together! A simple but super cute project that my kids can not wait to give to their teachers!
