Fall is upon us! I love the fun, bright, jewel-toned colors in the new "Friendly Forest" Collection and thought it would look nicely decorating a straw wreath!
I took these 4" wooden letters, painted the sides a dark orange and then traced the shape onto various patterned papers from the collection. Next, I just trimmed the cut-outs to fit the tops of the letters (the shapes are beveled) and then sanded around the edges to give
a fun, distressed wood look.
I arranged the letters onto the wreath so that they would overlap, which provided more
stability. I used different stickers and punch-out pieces from the collection to embellish.
The center of the "A" was accented with a tag sticker, which fits perfectly
with the theme of the wreath! I pinned a piece of ribbon to the back for hanging.
I'll be placing it on my front door when the first day of autumn arrives :)
