CUTE & CRAFTY PAPERCLIP EMBELLISHMENTS | with Ashley

Hi All! Today I am sharing my process for making DIY paperclip embellishments. I used the adorable elements from the Cute and Crafty collection.

I started with a few large paperclips from my stash. I used the petite prints papers to build a base of a banner and I added stitching.

Since this is a smaller space, I do fussy cut all the ephemera pieces to remove some of the white border. This way I can fit more images on the banner. I also like stitching on ephemera to give it some extra texture.

I layer focusing on a couple colors to help pick out what images I want to use. I always like pink and mint together! I add foam tape in between all the layers. This helps create dimension and depth on these little embellishments. I also focus the larger, basic shapes (like circles) to the back of the layering.

Some charms and enamel dots always add the perfect finishing touches.  Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Crafting!

  2. Darling idea! Do you sew on the
base paper then fold over the
paperclip? Not clear on how you
got it on the clip! Thanks.
