SWEET & SPOOKY SHAKER MINI ALBUM | with Jen

Before I even had the new Doodlebug Sweet & Spooky line in my hands I KNEW I wanted to make the Halloween Night Shaker-Pop super sized!

I also knew I wanted to make the cover out of the Stardust Heavy Acetate. I found some purple balls in my stash to use as shaker fill and some glow in the dark stars.

There are three pages in the album total with lots of interactive flaps, pockets, and some fun inserts for plenty of photos.

I added some stacked pockets and used a couple of Odds and Ends to decorate them. I filled them with some of the cut-aparts backed with black cardstock.

For this page the cut apart has magnets added to hold the flaps closed. When opened you have lots of space for spooky photos!

I added a booklet insert to a side-loading pocket that also has a half-page flap on top.

I added some of the left-over acetate to the back of this fun element from the Bits and Pieces. Some of the small Puffy Icons fit perfectly in the openings, and it's on a brad so it turns too.

And finally I added a push waterfall full of trick or treaters from the Odds and Ends to finish it all off!

SWEET & SPOOKY SHAKER MINI ALBUM | With Traci

Hello crafty friends! Traci here and today, I have another fun mini album for you. This one is shaped like a cute little jar and would be perfect for your favorite Halloween photos. I designed this with the adorable Sweet & Spooky Collection and a cutting file called Happy Haunting - Jar of Eyes.

I just love Doodlebug and with so many great products to play with ... crafting is so much fun! For this project, I found the cutting file first and made a few adjustments to it. I loved that it had a shape on the front that I could turn into a window. So, hello shaker!

I chose pistachio and lily white card stock and used my silhouette machine to cut out the album covers and pages. I glued a piece of Stardust acetate behind the front window and layered some foam tape and white paper to create space for the rainbow sequins to float around in. Then, I glued the beetle black chunky twine around the edge to hide the tape. The Happy Halloween sticker is from the This & That. And, for even more cuteness ... I added cupcake enamel dots for the cheeks and a bow on the jar's lid.

Inside, I covered each of the white pages with a fun print from the 6x6 paper pad. Then, the really fun part ... the embellishing! On the first page above, I added the clip board from the Bits and Pieces, some icon stickers, and a few puffy stickers.

On the next page, I created a flippie out of white card stock and added the This & That haunted house sticker on top. I tucked an acetate tree from the Odds and Ends in the back and included a few more puffy stickers.

Look how colorful! I love the large rainbow Taffy Stripe paper mixed with the smaller prints. The different sizes add so much interest. I included some words from the Chit Chat and I love the little ghost puffy sticker.

And speaking of ghosts ... this page is filled with them! The tiny ones on the 6x6 Sweet Spirits paper make the perfect backdrop for the little ghost family I made with pieces from the Odds & Ends.

I really love these colors. Just look at all those pumpkins. I think I need a pink pumpkin this year. :)

The Bits & Pieces on the left are great for journaling and on the right, another flippie. I made this one with a card from the 12x12 Hallo-Weave paper. Don't those 3 little trick-or-treaters go perfectly with the saying? Lol!

SWEET & SPOOKY HALLOWEEN GRID LAYOUT | with Erica

One of my favorite designs to work with is a grid design! I knew this spooky grid cut file would be the perfect match with the new Sweet & Spooky collection! 

I cut out the file with some black textured cardstock. It is going to really help the layout pop with the colors in the Sweet & Spooky collection! 

I used the Sweet & Spooky 6x6 paper pad to back some of the squares in the grid cut file and placed my black and white photos in the open squares. 

Once the file was backed I adhered it to a piece of white cardstock and then matted it onto this gorgeous Candy Sticks 12x12 striped paper from Doodlebug Design.

Next I went in with some of the embellishments from the Sweet and Spooky collection! I love the acetate pieces from the Odds & Ends and the fun Doodle pops! 

We are so excited for spooky season and our little Liam can’t wait to get dressed up and go trick-or-treating! I love how this layout turned out! Such a fun way to document your photos and create little scenes in each square!
