TINSEL TIME MINI | with Niella

As Santa and his elves get back to the North Pole and start working on Christmas 2025, after a break of course, I'd like to say a HUGE thanks crafty crew for being such great support for us here on the Doodlebug Blog and socials! I have loved bringing you all inspiration through the year and we wouldn't be anywhere without sharing, liking, commenting and being such loyal followers of all things Doodlebug :-) For my last Tinsel Time project, I've created a 6"x3" mini album as the season comes to a close and it's now time to memory keep! There's a super fun video showcase at the end of this post to see all the pages, so grab a beverage and some snacks as you scroll on through today's post!

When I saw this darling reindeer, I just had to have him on my front cover! He is from the cute Odds & End ephemera pack and to jazz him up, I've added a Ladybug Sprinkle over his nose to create Rudolph! Isn't he perfect? Then using Doodle Twine and the Icons stickers, I strung a charming ornament line, super cute!

Skipping ahead a page, here is a cute feature, a ticket fold. Add a photo and hidden journaling, or even a cluster of stickers and shape sprinkles! How adorable is the winking Santa mug! I wish I had this as an actual mug heehee!

On the next page, we have extra details here as I love adding vellum! It allows the viewer to still see the patterned paper, which is Dashing Deer,  yet it adds extra areas for photos and/or journaling! How cute are the puffy and sprinkles stickers! Darling. I also love adding tabs to all the pages :-)

This next spread has one of my personal favorite patterned papers; Christmas Candy! How stinkin' cute are the hard rock candies, ribbon candies and the candy canes! One can never have enough to eat and gift! Yummy!

Next page is a fold out spread. On the fold out you can add mini photos, quotes from family, lists and well, just about anything worth documenting. How about a list of your favorite gifts you gave or received!

The candy jars on this spread are so lovely! They are tied with pretty ribbon and ready for gifting! You can flip down the scallop edges which extends the page to have more room for your memories! It's so simple, yet so fun & functional! The Shape Sprinkles give delicate eye candy and twinkle.

And now we come to the last page in this 6"x3" mini album! I stitched the matching cardstock from the Tinsel Time collection and adhered the lamp and sleigh ephemera pieces to the back page. I used pop dots/squares to get the layers to pop, it's the best tip!

Thank you again for popping by crafty crew! I hope you've found inspiration today! Please remember to tag us in our your Socials when you create with Doodlebug so we can all admire your creativity! We love seeing your creations.

Thanks for stopping by y'all, until next time doodle dee!

TINSEL TIME MINI TAG FOLIO | with Conny

Happy Holidays! Conny here, and I'm excited to share this mini album created with the Tinsel Time collection. For this project, I was inspired to use the tags from the gift-giving 12" x 12" paper, and I am really into folio mini albums right now. I cut out eight tags from the paper to include in this album. You can choose the tags that you like best for your flip tags.

Let's start with the base of the album. I cut three pieces of chipboard: two pieces measuring 4 1/2" x 8 1/2" for the covers and one piece measuring 1" x 8 1/2" for the spine. The pink textured cardstock comes from the 12" x 12" solid assortment paper pack and was cut to measure 12" x 10 1/8". I used my  book cover guide tool to center the chipboard pieces, leaving about 1/8" between the spine and the border around the chipboard, which was about 3/4". I applied double-sided tape and liquid glue to adhere the elements together.

To cover the chipboard inside, I used festive floral paper measuring 8 3/8" x 10 1/8". For the tags, to turn them into flip pages, I cut eight pieces of white cardstock, each measuring 4" x 4". Score one side at 2" and adhere your tags on top, making sure the paper is facing the right way for the tags to open correctly. I punched a hole at the top of each tag and added a ribbon. A few tags were embellished with odds and ends, enamel dots, and stickers from the collection.

The pages in the middle of the spine, measure 8" x 8 1/2". I scored on the longest side at 4" and 4 1/2". I then adhered the 1/2" sections to the spine one after the other. I embellished the pages using odds and ends, stickers, enamel dots, Doodle Pops, and more. The process for the base and pages can be found on my YouTube channel.

You can find a quick YouTube video here.  Thank you so much for stopping by! I love sharing with you all my creative ways of making projects. Happy crafting! XO

TINSEL TIME MANTLE FOLIO SCRAPBOOK | with Jen

Christmas is almost here! With kids and the excitement of what Santa will bring what better way to document the chaos than a mini album? I created this Here Comes Santa folio as both a folio and a decor piece! I used the Tinsel Time Mantle SVG File to make a big version of what has got to be the cutest Odds and Ends piece ever for the front of my album. I used the Puffy Icons for the little Christmas village on the mantle. I used Glitter Sprinkles for the garland and the stockings from the Odds and Ends pack.

I made the fireplace area into a simple shaker. The album is constructed so that it will stand so it can double as a decor piece during the holidays as well.

Inside there is a section for your photos of decorating the tree and your visit with Santa.

In the rest of the folio there is lots of room for pictures and a couple of pockets for other memorabilia you may want to save.

The top of the folio has flip book style pages that will hold cropped 4x6 pictures.

Underneath there is a mini layout page for a cute photo in front of the tree on Christmas Eve.

A full, free tutorial on how to make this entire project is linked below.

Have a great day!

TINSEL TIME EXPLOSION BOX | with Traci

Hey guys! Traci here and today, I have a really fun project for you that uses the fabulous Tinsel Time Collection and a brand new explosion box by Scrapbook.com. It has so many fun layered pages, pockets, and cute Doodlebug surprises inside. It would make a great Christmas gift idea!

The box measures 5x5 inches and comes already made so all you have to do is decorate it. I started by covering the bottom half of the box in the pretty 12x12 paper called Festive Floral.

On the lid, I added the red polka dot print (Berry Merry) and the white star paper (Tree Trimmings). I used a 3" scalloped circle punch and a 2.5" circle punch to create a mat, then added the Merry Christmas Doodle-pops.

When the lid is lifted, the box's layers unfold to reveal ...

... all of these wonderful pages filled with cute papers, die cuts, and Doodle-pops. Because I can be a Doodle-pops hoarder, I'm super proud of myself for using so many here. Look how fabulous they all are!

In between each set of pages is a heart shape that connects one section to the next. These fold in half and tuck neatly inside when you close the box. Doesn't the red Berry Merry paper highlight the heart perfectly?

In the center, I added a wreath die cut from the Odds & Ends. I love the beautiful details on this, and ... its shape mimics the scalloped mats on the pages around it. I love glitter dots so I added a few for sparkle.

Each of the 4 sections has 3 built-in pocket pages. Above, I added the adorable So Endeering Doodle-pops to the front page. She's so cute with her little pink collar.

Here are some decorating ideas for the inside pages ...

I covered each one in a pretty 12x12 print and created different shaped mats for interest. I love the way Doodlebug's papers always match and work perfectly together. Mixing them is easy and always looks great.

All the circular mats were created with the same 3" and 2.5" punches that I used for the lid. The square mats are the same size but I cut them out. Oh! And do you see the Jolly St. Nick Doodle-pops above? So cute.

Here, you can also spot the Christmas Cottage and the Christmas Candy Doodle-pops. ... Dear Santa, I want a pink house just like that one, please.

I had so much fun decorating this little explosion box. The Tinsel Time Collection makes every project fun and so, so cute!! I hope today's project inspires you to create something wonderful. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

TINSEL TIME FOLIO ALBUM | with Conny

Hey Crafty Friends, it's Conny here, sharing a lovely folio album made with the new Tinsel Time Collection. For this folio, I wanted to create spaces for all the Christmas photos we take during this festive season. If you don't have a chipboard, don't worry—you can still recreate this album!
Let's get started. I began with five pieces of chipboard to create a solid structure. From left to right, the sizes of the chipboard pieces are 3.5" x 8.5", 1" x 8.5", 5.5" x 8.5", 1" x 8.5", and 4.5" x 8.5". The sizes of the pieces used to wrap the chipboard are also in the same left-to-right order: 10 1/8" x 4 3/4", 10 1/8" x 2.5", 10 1/8" x 7 1/8", 10 1/8" x 2.5", and 6 1/8" x 10 1/8". You can refer to the picture below.
To cover the chipboard, you will need a patterned piece measuring 8.5" x 12". I used the Dashing Deer paper for this; however, you'll also need an additional piece measuring 8.5" x 5" from the Tree Trimmings collection. Start by adhering the longest piece from left to right, then place the shorter one on top right of the album (To cover inside chipboard).

Now, let's move on to the first folded page in the album, which is attached to the first spine ( 1" x 8.5"). I trimmed the Snow Bright paper to 10.5" x 8". Score this piece at 5/8", 4", and 7 1/4". Here, I added various bits and pieces, including mini icon stickers. I also created a little pocket for tags using the "Admit One" North Pole ticket and a few journaling cards.

For the pages in the middle between the spines, cut two pieces measuring 8 1/4" x 5 1/2" and score each one at 1/2" on the 5 1/2" side. Place one on the left and one on the right. Inside, I added another page measuring 5" x 8 1/4" and scored it at 1/2" on the 5" side. I adhered this page to the next, following the left page. After matting with coordinated cardstock sized at 8 1/4" x 4 1/2", I added more journaling cards and various embellishments from the collection.
On the right base, I created six flat waterfall pages using white cardstock cut to 3 1/2" x 5". Score on the longest side at 1/2" and adhere one after the other. I matted these pages with paper from the 6" x 6" paper pad and used journaling cards and puffy stickers, leaving the back of each card open for 3" x 4" photos. You can embellish even more if you like!

Happy crafting! Thank you so much for stopping by! I love sharing with you all my creative ways of making projects. Xo Conny!
