Milk & Cookies Collection: Cut File Cuteness by Brigit Mann

Hello Doodlebug Fans, it's Brigit here sharing a Christmas project using the new Milk and Cookies. I love all of Doodlebug's collections, each and every one are absolutely adorable, but I always look forward to their Christmas one and this is fantastic!!

The hardest thing about making Doodlebug projects is picking out what I'm going to use, everything is just so darn cute. I figured with all the sweets in this collection I had to make a gingerbread house and then I thought a pantry card would go with it perfectly to make a nice gift set.

For the card I used the armoire shaped card from Lori Whitlock's shop, I altered it a little so my stickers would fit in each cutout and I didn't want the doors to open.  I used Doodlebug's 6 x 6 pad for the patterned paper on the doors and the striped back panel, the candy christmas paper is from the 12 x 12 paper pack .  All the stickers are from the milk & cookies icon sheet and the this & that sticker sheet. I used a piece of ladybug chunky twine at the top and holly berries shaped sprinkles for the knobs.

I had so much fun making this house, I used another cut file from Lori Whitlock's shop, the gingerbread house, I altered this one also, I wanted the dear santa brick paper on the walls all to go the same direction, so a little rearranging fixed that.  For the trim and roof, I used the santa sweet paper and then embellished the house with icon stickers, sweet spruce and jolly gingerbread doodlepops, some sugarplumchristmas glitter and candy cane sprinkles. I used some liquid applique and glitter around the door, windows, and chimney.

Here's a top view of the house, the chimney didn't come with it, I made it so the adorable santa chimney sticker would fit nicely, I also added the snowy top layer.

The house can be used as a luminary, I put vellum in all the windows and added two battery lights inside.

I hope you've enjoyed this gift set, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Milk & Cookies Collection: Printer Tray Display by Karen

Hi everyone, it's Karen, and I need a moment to gather myself. You see, the truth is that I basically have not stopped squealing since I laid my eyes on the newest Doodlebug collection - Milk & Cookies. I did stop long enough to pull a little project together, but truth be told, I may start again at any moment...don't say I didn't warn you!
I have had a little faux printer tray hanging around in my crafty space for the longest time. Up until now, I just wasn't inspired to use it. But with all the fun patterned papers in this collection that, as always, coordinate perfectly, I knew this collection was the perfect fit!
This printer tray is just slightly bigger than 12x12, so when I was deciding what to embellish the compartments with, the Odds and Ends were a perfect fit - literally!
And just in case you want to add a bit of dimension to the shapes, the doodle-pops make a perfect addition as well. I used the Sweet Spruce for one section and then matted the Jolly Gingerbread men onto some Petite Print paper for another.
And of course, I couldn't forget to add some of the cute glitter Sprinkles! I used some to embellish the Odds and Ends die cuts - like the door handle for this section...
...and the puppy's collar and top of the light shade in this section (can I just say that this cute little scene is my favourite of the whole piece??!!)...
...and even just to add a bit of dimension on the fun polka dot paper. I love me some Sprinkles!!!
So there you have it - I refrained from squealing during the whole post, but I can guarantee that you will not be able to control yourself when you have your hands on this collection. It really is a special collection that while bring the fun and cute into your Christmas decorating! I think I need to make a banner with it now...what do you think? Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs, Karen

Milk & Cookies Collection: Advent Calendar with Kathy

Hi Everyone!  It's Kathy today excited to be kicking off a couple of weeks of projects featuring the ADORABLE new Milk & Cookies Collection!  I created a fun Advent Calendar with the collection, take a peek....

I started with the flannel jammies double-sided cardstock.  This paper made this project so easy!

I then cut 26 of these boxes from Lori Whitlock (available here in the Silhouette Store)  using some Maple Gingham Linen Petite Prints.  You can fit two of these on one 12x12 page, so there's very little paper waste and they go together quickly!  I then set to decorating the boxes using the countdown squares and other papers from the collection.  Here are some close-ups....

The great thing about these boxes is that they're big enough to hold a number of items which comes in handy if you have more than one kiddo!

I added some additional embellishments to some of the boxes using the Glitter Sprinkles, Shaped Sprinkles, Odds & Ends and Doodle Pops

Here is the view from the back.  I can't wait to fill it with goodies this year!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
