OVER THE RAINBOW FRAMES | with Tarrah

Even though St. Patrick's Day has been and gone, that doesn't mean I can't share some super cute home décor items I created using the gorgeous Over the Rainbow collection!

I decided to decorate a cute glass jar and some small photo frames I had in my home. It was so fun to create little scenes in the frames! These cute decorations have really brightened up my home over the last few weeks and I love how they turned out!

The first frame I decorated measures 6' x 6' so I simply took a piece of patterned paper from the 6' x 6' paper pad and added it to the backing of the frame. I then built up the scene using mostly die-cuts. I popped up the wishing well, the banner title and the clover border with foam tape. Once these were all adhered, I added some smaller embellishments like tiny heart stickers to the edge of the well and also some flower details at the base of the well. I also included one of the rainbow puffy stickers above the title too.

The glass jar was a perfect gift for a good friend, I filled it with some chocolate gold coins - yum! To decorate the jar, I was able to take the round die-cut with the title of 'My Lucky Charm' and adhered it to the top of the lid. It was the perfect size to fit the lid! I tied some black twine around the top of the jar and added the green clover tag, I layered over one of the stickers using foam tape and added a small sprinkle for some more detail on the clover. For the front and back of the jar, I took my 2 inch circle punch and punched out 2 circles from the clover paper in the 6' x 6' paper pad and adhered these. On the front one, I added the rainbow die-cut and love the pop of color!

For the smaller frame, I took the clover paper again and trimmed it down to 4' x 4' and adhered this to the backing of the frame. I then adhered the cute mushroom die-cut using foam tape and layered over the Happy St Patrick's Day title banner. I also added the clover die-cuts using foam tape and added a Sprinkle to each of the clovers, again to add some more detail.

Creating doesn't have to be complicated or time consuming! Creating some simple, cute pieces to decorate your home with is a great way to use your products and imagine the comments you would get if you gave the glass jar gift to a friend?! Super cute! Happy creating everyone!

LAND THAT I LOVE PATRIOTIC DÉCOR | with Wanda

Hey Doodlebug Friends! It's almost 4th of July, and time to decorate for your festivities! I love a good patriotic craft project and I'm here today to share what I made for this year's party - using the awesome Land That I love Paper Collection! Red, White and Blue never ever goes out of style. This project will translate to any party theme by changing which paper collection you use. These festive papers are so bright, and I adore the embellishments that come in this collection - especially that little eagle with the Uncle Sam hat!

These are called fans, rosettes, or medallions and they're super easy to make. I used a die to make mine but it's very easy to make with some simple tools - a paper cutter and a Scoring Board! I made five rosettes and the a garland to match.

For this rosette, I layered two rosettes! I glued them together with liquid glue and then embellished them with cardstock stickers and Doodle Pops. The Land That I Love stickers are perfect for this project! If you're doing these by hand start by cutting a 12x12 piece of paper into 4 6x6 squares. Use your Scoring Board and score and fold each square back and forth accordian style at 1/2 inch intervals. Once your smaller fans are folded, glue then together. I used eight pieces, or two 12x 12 papers for each one. To make them larger or smaller, simply cut off part of the pieces before gluing them together!

It's easy to be festive! Just decorate with your garland and rosettes, get some festive straws and plates at the craft store....and start celebrating!

Here is a close up of those gorgeous Land That I Love papers!

I used stickers and Odds & Ends to decorate the centers of the rosettes.

To make the garland, I used Doodlebug Chunky twine and glued the paper pieces from the Odds & Ends pack onto the twine. I added some mini jewels into the center of all of them for a bit of sparkle.

That's it for today! I am wishing you a happy 4th of July and a fun Summer season! See you back here real soon!
