CUTE & CRAFTY - CRAFTY CART MINI ALBUM | with Traci

Hello friends! The other day, I asked my followers on Facebook which Cute & Crafty die cut was their favorite.  Of course, this was a tough question since they are all so cute, but several people love the darling craft cart.  So with this in mind, I decided to create a shaped mini with the craft cart cutting file.  I love how cute it turned out ...

For the cover, I used swimming pool dot and linen petite prints.  I offset the cutting file to create the white card stock pages, and added icon stickers to fill up my cart with cuteness. Cupcake enamel dots gave it some rosy cheeks, and a chit chat title finished it up.

My album measures 4" wide x 9" tall, so I used lots of colorful 12x12 sheets to cover my pages. I also added a 3x4 card to the fold-out piece on the page above.  I just love that little pencil cup!

You know I love "flippies" so I added another one to this page.  It's a fun place to add journaling and when you flip it up there is space for another photo (see below).

How cute are those little button sprinkles!? I used foam tape on a few of them for some shiny dimension.  Oh and there's another flippie!  When you lift up the green journaling card you  find ....

... a whole lot more cute smiling faces!

I wouldn't make a mini without a pocket or two, so this one is fun for tucking in more journaling, extra photos, and fun little die cuts!  I hope you've enjoyed taking a peek into my latest shaped mini album.  Have a wonderful crafty week!

CUTE & CRAFTY FUN DAY LAYOUT | with Erica

Hey friends! Do you ever create layouts using one large photo? Today I am going to show you a fun way to showcase a large photo on a 12x12 layout.

I thought the Doodlebug Cute & Crafty collection would be the perfect collection to document my very first CHA show! I printed out my photo at home on a piece of 8.5x11 photo paper. It is not the best photo and very grainy but I just love it to pieces!

Using the We R Memory Keepers Spin & Trim I cut out the photo into a large circle. Cutting your large photo into a circle and placing in the center of your page is the perfect way to highlight your image!

I wanted a colorful background and the Colorful Canvas paper from the Cute & Crafty collection was perfect! I love the mixed media look without the mess! I added foam adhesive to the back of the photo and placed it in the center of my page.

I used the Cute & Crafty icon stickers, chit chat pieces and odds & ends to frame my photo! Some embellishments are adhered directly to my photo and some pieces are popped up on foam dots for dimension. For my title I used two chit chat pieces and added them directly to the photo. Once I was finished I felt like I needed to add a little something to the sides of the page. I trimmed about a half inch off each side of my layout and then matted my page to the Bright Ideas paper. To finish off my layout I typed my journaling out on my computer, printed it out and then trimmed it into strips.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you enjoyed my layout and it gave you some inspiration using a large photo on your scrapbook page! Have a wonderful day!

CUTE & CRAFTY DOODLE-POP CARDS | with Karen

So I have a bit of a confession to make. I love Doodle-pops. And by "love", what I really mean is that I have a hard time using them because I just want to collect them all! There is something about the cute, layered images in sticker form that reminds me of my sticker collection as a kid. And Doodle-pops would have been the pinnacle of my collection. Smelly stickers stand aside because Doodle-pops are in the house.

Cards-all-1

So every once in awhile, I grab my treasure chest of Doodle-pops and actually use them on a project (okay who am I kidding - this is the first time). And the Doodle-pops that are part of the Cute and Crafty collection do not disappoint!

Closeup-1

The little sewing machine is the perfect size for this A2 card, and paired together with the Chit Chat sentiment, makes a great everyday card. And there are lots of fun sewing puns that you could use instead to get a variety in the way you could use this Doodle-pop.

My personal favourite happens to be the scissor and glue gun combination. I mean, check out those little glue dots!! And because the images are separate pieces you can really make these stickers work on a bunch of different designs.

Cards-all-2

Am I happy I that I disrupted the collection by creating these cards with Doodle-pops? Of course! Now I have three cute cards to share with you for inspiration. And anyway, who says I actually have to give the cards away?! ;)  Thanks for stopping by!
