CUTE & CRAFTY FUN DAY LAYOUT | with Erica
Hey friends! Do you ever create layouts using one large photo? Today I am going to show you a fun way to showcase a large photo on a 12x12 layout.
I thought the Doodlebug Cute & Crafty collection would be the perfect collection to document my very first CHA show! I printed out my photo at home on a piece of 8.5x11 photo paper. It is not the best photo and very grainy but I just love it to pieces!
Using the We R Memory Keepers Spin & Trim I cut out the photo into a large circle. Cutting your large photo into a circle and placing in the center of your page is the perfect way to highlight your image!
I wanted a colorful background and the Colorful Canvas paper from the Cute & Crafty collection was perfect! I love the mixed media look without the mess! I added foam adhesive to the back of the photo and placed it in the center of my page.
I used the Cute & Crafty icon stickers, chit chat pieces and odds & ends to frame my photo! Some embellishments are adhered directly to my photo and some pieces are popped up on foam dots for dimension. For my title I used two chit chat pieces and added them directly to the photo. Once I was finished I felt like I needed to add a little something to the sides of the page. I trimmed about a half inch off each side of my layout and then matted my page to the Bright Ideas paper. To finish off my layout I typed my journaling out on my computer, printed it out and then trimmed it into strips.
Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you enjoyed my layout and it gave you some inspiration using a large photo on your scrapbook page! Have a wonderful day!

CUTE & CRAFTY DOODLE-POP CARDS | with Karen
So I have a bit of a confession to make. I love Doodle-pops. And by "love", what I really mean is that I have a hard time using them because I just want to collect them all! There is something about the cute, layered images in sticker form that reminds me of my sticker collection as a kid. And Doodle-pops would have been the pinnacle of my collection. Smelly stickers stand aside because Doodle-pops are in the house.
So every once in awhile, I grab my treasure chest of Doodle-pops and actually use them on a project (okay who am I kidding - this is the first time). And the Doodle-pops that are part of the Cute and Crafty collection do not disappoint!
The little sewing machine is the perfect size for this A2 card, and paired together with the Chit Chat sentiment, makes a great everyday card. And there are lots of fun sewing puns that you could use instead to get a variety in the way you could use this Doodle-pop.
My personal favourite happens to be the scissor and glue gun combination. I mean, check out those little glue dots!! And because the images are separate pieces you can really make these stickers work on a bunch of different designs.
Am I happy I that I disrupted the collection by creating these cards with Doodle-pops? Of course! Now I have three cute cards to share with you for inspiration. And anyway, who says I actually have to give the cards away?! ;) Thanks for stopping by!
