FRENCH KISS Mini Album & Flip Through Video | with Traci

Years ago, I started creating a series of mini albums called "You and Me". My albums document the love story I share with my husband. We're high school sweethearts, so the first book goes all the way back to the 80's...yikes!...maybe I should post pictures of that one on my blog someday :).  The French Kiss collection reminded me of those albums, and creating a new mini with these bright, adorable papers was so much fun.  Here are a few pictures, but I did a video for you so that you could really see all the fun details.

The cover is 4 layers of chipboard!  I love a sturdy album and this one has some nice dimension. Those two cuties on the bike with that precious pup ... is that not adorable?  Doodlebug has the best die cuts.  I added a few tiny heart sprinkles on the wheels for some extra cuteness, and I created the title with my Silhouette software.

Aren't the colors in this collection perfect?  As you can see, I added in some solid petite prints like the  cupcake dots/stripes above.  The "Always & Forever" title is from the chit chat package.

I used papers from the 6x6 pad and 12x12 size. I also added in some acrylic pages for a little something different.  You can see these pages in the video below.And ... yes! this project is available as a DIY kit in my shop.  Stop by my blog for all of the details.

FRENCH KISS - 'Plane & Simple' Layout | with Tegan

Like you, I really enjoy documenting photos of my loved ones. The French Kiss collection, though, makes it even more enjoyable! I just love the yummy mix of blues, pinks, and red and the characters are adorable. But let's not forget about the cute phrases like 'plane and simple' that are included, which I borrowed from the collection for my cute title!​​

​I also am in love with the coordinating French Kiss cut files. Once I cut a few clouds from Doodlebug Seaglass colored cardstock, I knew I wanted to base my whole design around these adorable fluffy clouds. And how perfect is that little French-inspired pilot (from the Odds & Ends pack) flying through the clouds?! I embellished the plane's tail with a heart sticker and added two white baby heart Sprinkles behind the pilot seat. Cute, right?! I used the graph side of the Bubblegum Floral-Graph Petite Prints patterned paper for my background and it was the perfect soft base color for this project.

​​The title is my favorite part of this layout because I love the adorable 'plane and simple' phrase. And the small pilot gal sticker is the perfect size for this cloud. It's actually from the Mini Icons sticker sheet. Not only are the Mini Icons perfect for calendars and planners, but for layouts as well! And of course I had to add a baby heart Sprinkle to her plane. I completed the title using some of the Ladybug Teensy Type alphabet stickers.

FRENCH KISS Mini Album | with Shellye

This sweet "French Kiss" Mini Album will have you saying "oooo la la!" 

On a recent trip to the Dollar Tree, I found a cute wall hanger.  This hanger included four heart-shaped chipboard pieces that were the perfect size for a mini album.  I cut it apart the strand of hearts and used them as the five base pages:

With one side of the chipboard heart already glittered, I simply added a few layers of stickers and die cuts.  To the plain back-side of the heart: I traced the shape onto patterned paper, trimmed out and then attached with craft glue. The chipboard is quite thick, so I was also able to adorn the edges with chunky twine!

After all of the pages were decorated, I assembled them by creating a hole in the top left corner of each page and then used a white shower hook to hold them together.  I love using these hooks for mini albums so that they can easily be hung from a hanger or knob!
