Booville Collection: Peek-a-Boo Layout by Virginia Nebel

September greetings!  In our family, we are passed the shopping or making kids Halloween costumes, but I still have very fond memories and wanted to create a daily doodle page to celebrate past Halloweens.  I plan on displaying the page in the 12x12 Doodlebug clipboard and then it will eventually be stored in a scrapbook album.

I thought it would be fun to incorporate a few inter-active elements.  Have you seen this awesome Card & Envelopes kit?  These shaped cards with coordinating envelopes are just awaiting your creative touch!  I used the small black square scalloped card and envelope set as the foundation for my interactive elements.

A fun peek-a-boo flip up was made from the little scallop card base.

The envelope was converted to a slider sleeve by adhering the envelope flap closed and cutting the top and bottom edges.  The purple card is pulled down to reveal a photo.

Strategically placed dimensional doodle-pops prevents the slider card from being pulled out too far or  slipping out the bottom.

Booville Collection: Card Trio by Tya

Hey there Doodlebug friends! It's Tya and I am up on the blog today sharing a fun and festive card trio featuring the adorable Booville collection! I have been on such a card making kick lately and I had such a fun time making these! Here are some close ups of each card:
This first card was so fun to make - I kind of am obsessed with doilies on my cards and this swimming pool doily was the perfect touch to this card. I love the little trick or treaters. They are stickers from the Icon Sticker Sheet. The sentiment is from the This and That sticker sheet and I added some glitter sprinkles and some candy corn shaped sprinkles as well.

This next card uses one of the Create a Card bases for the foundation of the card. I love the pops of pink in this collection! I just had to feature it! The double decker bus is from the Odds and Ends and I just loved the whimsical feel of it. I added a moon Cute Clip on the top edge. To finish off the card I places a couple of matte sprinkles on the headlights of the bus.

The last card is a fun one. I love making little scenes on cards and the Odds and Ends has some adorable pieces in it that made this super easy. The haunted house is so adorable and I love the cute little black kitty. He is from the Icon Sticker Sheet. The sentiment strips on the Pick a Pumpkin paper are perfect for card making- so I added the Happy Halloween one to the bottom edge. The card is finished off with some star stickers and two pink glitter sprinkles.

I hope I have inspired you to make a few of these fun cards of your own. Anyone would just love to receive this cuties! Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Crafting!

Booville Collection: Trick or Treat Banner by Wendy Sue

October is just around the corner, which means I've already started decorating our home for Halloween! Hi Doodlebug friends, it's Wendy Sue here today to admit I couldn't resist making a fun trick-or-treat banner with all of the cute little trick-or-treaters in the Booville die-cut pack! Here's how the banner looks hanging in my kitchen:

And here's a closer look at all of the pieces:

Each flag consists of a circle-shaped base (I actually used a die-cut meant for making a mini album):

Each base has a strip of black cardstock in the center.  Before I added the black piece, I used a star embossing folder to add texture!

Next, I added two different styles of doodle tape to the top and bottom of each black piece.

Each trick-or-treater was placed on the black piece with foam adhesive - I just love adding extra dimension to my banners!

I used doodle-pops, sprinkles, and additional die-cuts to embellish each trick-or-treater and his background.

After all of the trick-or-treat flags were complete, I punched two holes in the top of each flag.

Chunky twine is perfect for stringing any banner!

It's worth another look to notice the CUTE shaped sprinkles and doodle pops in this collection!!

And in the middle of the trick-or-treat parade is the perfect place to add some words!

And with that, I'm off to make something else with the Booville collection to add to my fun and colorful Halloween decor!
