Boos & Brews Collection: Trick or Treat Mini Album by Traci

Happy Tuesday Doodlebug friends!  It's Traci, and I'm so excited to be sharing a new mini album with you today!  Last year I created a similar Halloween house album for my Artsy Albums kit shop, and I was looking forward to doing another one this year.  Boos & Brews is perfect for this project with it's colorful patterns and so many cute embellishments!
I designed the album on paper and cut it out of heavy black chipboard.  Then I layered the pieces with pattern papers from the 6x6 paper pad and 12x12 sheets. That swirly paper on the roof is one of my favorites!!  It makes it look like magic is swirling out of the house.  And that little scientist!  I added eyeball sprinkles to make him look just a little more wacky.
This cute page was made from a 6x6 sheet ... I used it to create the front of a fold out card that will have photo mats tucked inside.
How cute is this little one-eyed green guy!? I combined him with a green drippy border punch and added a green splat from the odds & ends to complete the page.  He also got an eyeball sprinkle -- love those!
These adorable frames are from the odds & ends and the stickers are from the icon and This N That sheets.  I just love that little ghost!
This album will also be available to purchase as a kit.  Details can be found on my blog at Artsy Albums.  I hope you have fun creating some spooky fun projects with Boos & Brews!
Happy crafting!

Boos & Brews Collection: Haunted House by Jennifer

Hello, Doodlebug fans. Jennifer here and today I'm sharing my Halloween project featuring the new Boos And Brews line. As always, I had a blast playing with all the fun prints and super cute embellishments from this "spooktacular" collection.
The haunted cabin file I used is by SVG Cuts. They have a great video on how to put the house together, so I followed their instructions, with one exception. I cut mine out of chipboard first, then covered it with patterned paper.
Once the cabin was covered with paper, I made a base out of foam core and covered that with the star side of the Matter Splatters paper.  I loved the potions patterned paper and wanted to incorporate it somewhere in the project. Around the edge of the base seemed like the best spot.  Another favorite of mine were the "splats of color" motifs.  I used them in sticker, and die-cut form, as well as the 6" x 6", patterned paper on the porch roof.
I changed out the door that came with the cabin, with a chipboard one that I had. The door was covered with linen cardstock, then embellished with spider sprinkles and a small ticket sticker.
The "Halloween Night" label was cut from the 6" x 6" paper pad and was just the right size for the doormat.
As you can see, I used a lot of fun prints from the collection paired with the linen-gingham cardstock.
Here I cut a spiderweb for my spider sprinkle to rest on.
The mummy, cat, and Igor stickers were mounted to chipboard before being attached to the cabin with glue. Eerie eye sprinkles were added, and I gave the mummy a potion sticker to hold.
To add some detail, small strips of paper were attached to each corner of the house, as bricks and shutters were added to some of the windows. Black strips, (cut from patterned paper) border stickers and other paper strips were also used around the house to add some color.
To finish off the cabin on the side more die cuts, stickers, sprinkles and twine were used to create a fun banner.
Well, that's it for me.  Join us tomorrow for some more Boos and Brews goodness.  Jennifer

Flea Market - 'Together' Layout by Melinda

Flea Market... can it get any cuter? At the mere mention of the name you envisage all sorts of eclectic goodies combined with a dreamy fall color palette and the all important whimsical creatures.  I honestly couldn't wait to get started with my project as I'd already had a photo in mind and I'd even pre-drawn a rough layout... you could say, I was all set to go!

My littlest muchkin was enjoying the last of the warm Autumn weather and decided he'd spend the afternoon with his fur-companion Miss Lizzy. I'm sure the dog wore more sand than was absolutely necessary but she didn't seem to mind. I printed out the photo in a circular shape as I wanted to incorporate it into my round collage instead of plonking a square photo on top.

I used a dinner plate to draw my outer circle for the collage and then adhered the photo in position using foam pop dots so as I wanted it to be slightly raised so I could slide a few bits and pieces underneath the edges. Then it was decorating time!!!

And can you spy the beautiful new 'Petite Print' pattern... this particular side of the double sided patterned paper is called 'Linen' with the reverse side being 'gingham'. I think it is my new favourite of the Petite Range.

As a last little feature I wanted to add one of the tiny little mice and hide him in some washi grass. Awww, he is too cute!
