SUMMER FUN - SUMMER FUN & SUN LAYOUT | with Tarrah

If you love sunshine, smiles, and everything cute under the sea, today's layout is for you! A vibrant and joy-filled layout created using the Summer Fun collection along with a cut file.

At first glance, this layout screams happy summer vibes! Centered around a sweet photo moment by the beach, the design is brought to life with bold colors, playful embellishments, and a perfect blend of patterns and textures.

I love the papers from the Summer Fun collection. Each word in the cut file is backed with a different paper design, creating a playful, dimensional look. Under the cut file I added some blue mixed media, I love how it makes it the cut file pop off the white background cardstock. I layered one of the papers from the 6' x 8' paper pad under my photo.

I trimmed down the white cardstock and adhered it to the Beach Picnic patterned paper. The cut file is popped up using foam adhesive, I love how this creates shadows and dimension. The animals in this collection are absolutely adorable, on this layout I have added dolphins, jelly fish, sea horses, octopus, fish and a chameleon!

With the embellishing I added some with a tone on tone look and some not tone on tone, the gorgeous, bright colors just had to be added as much as possible on my layout! I added a sub title taking the words Summer Awaits from the Chit Chat pack and adhering them using foam adhesive at the bottom of the cut file.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to dive into your summer memories and get creative with our newest release! Happy creating!

SUMMER FUN - ENJOY SUNNY DAYS LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Summer is coming to an end! Thankfully we have all the memories of sunny days and adventures, and the beautiful Summer Fun collection to create the right keepsakes with these memories. All the colors and designs in the collection are just perfect for this.  Let me show you what I have created:

Lots of color and texture to bring the feel of a day in the pool for this layout.    The waves in the pool in the picture were the inspiration for my page.

I am using Petite Prints for the base of my page;  this was trimmed by 1/2"and all sides and framed with the Beach Towel paper.  I added  the scalloped strips from the Cardstock Stickers to the top and bottom of  the base, then tore strips from the Water Babies paper -to create waves- and adhere them  in an overlapping pattern on the base.

The space between the "waves"-paper strips- was the right spot to bring embellishment and fun to the page.   I added pieces from the Odds & Ends, Mini Icon Stickers, Puffy stickers on the outer edges of the strips, then decided to attach my photo.

I backed the photo with papers from the 6x8 paper pad before placing it on the layout.  I added a few pieces of Chit Chat, cardstock stickers, and one of the Doodle-pop cameras to the top right corner of the photo.

To finish my page, I combined pieces from Chit Chat, Word Puffy Stickers, and Odds & Ends to create the title at the bottom of the photo; then added a few Sprinkles through the clusters on the page.

I love how this turned out, and I hope it inspires you to get your Summer memories documented.   Make sure you share with us what you create with the beautiful Summer Fun collection  XO

SUMMER FUN - FUN IN THE SUN LAYOUT | with Traci

Hello everyone! Traci here and today, I'm sharing a 12x12 scrapbook page that I created with the beautiful Summer Fun Collection. If you love bright cheerful colors and cute summer icons, this is a great layout idea for your favorite photos of the beach, a vacation, backyard fun, and sweet sunny memories. 🌞

12x12 Summer Fun Scrapbook Page Layout with tropical flowers, bright colors, palm trees, and lots of sunshine

I started with a 12x12 sheet of lily white card stock for the base. Then, I layered half the page with the beautiful blue floral called Let's Luau and the other half with the Pink Paradise pattern.

Next, I centered another sheet of white paper and added 3 photo mats across the top. I made these out of the Water Babies print, the Petite Prints Candy Stripe and Sprinkles in bubblegum, and the Gull Friends print.

12x12 Summer Fun Scrapbook Page Layout with tropical flowers, bright colors, palm trees, luggage, and a cute chameleon

This page needed a splash of sunshine, so I cut a narrow strip of the Summer Fun pattern, notched the ends, and adhered it in the center. I added the This & That "Fun In The Sun" sticker on top and embellished the corner with lots of cute die cuts from the Odds & Ends and more This & That stickers. I really do "love this"!

12x12 Summer Fun Scrapbook Page Layout with tropical flowers, bright colors, a seagull, and flip flops

In the right corner, I added a photo mat cut from the back side of the Pink Paradise print. Those colorful flowers are so pretty! Then, I decorated using more This & That stickers and Odds & Ends pieces. And ... she was complete! Simple, fun, and perfect for happy warm weather pics!

I hope this colorful layout inspires you to document your own summer memories with the fabulous Summer Fun Collection. Until next time, happy scrapping! 😊

SUMMER FUN - SUMMER TIME LAYOUT | with Tarrah

If you're anything like me, summer is all about sunshine, laughter, and making sweet memories — and the Summer Fun collection perfectly captures that sunny spirit in every sticker, paper, and embellishment.

For this layout, I documented a fun beach day with my Mum at Jimmy’s Beach in NSW, Australia. The colorful striped background immediately set the tone for a playful and vibrant vibe — and how perfect are those colors?! Pink, orange, yellow, green, blue... it's like a rainbow exploded in the best way possible!

I added a scalloped border strip from the This and That sticker sheet across the top for a little extra dimension and tucked in some fun elements like a mini parrot Doodle Pop sticker, hearts from the Sam & Sally Seahorse Doodle-Pop, and the cutest little 'Vitamin Sea' sentiment from the Chit Chat die-cuts pack. Doodlebug never disappoints when it comes to adorable details!!

I layered up lots of the coordinating die cuts and stickers from the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat packs — tropical leaves, a rainbow umbrella, beach ball, and of course, that sweet 'Summer Time' title cluster.

At the bottom of the layout, I included a journaling spot labeled 'MEMORIES' from the Bits and Pieces pack to record the location and date of our beach trip. A cute pink flamingo Doodle-Pop and floral accents also from the Bits and Pieces pack helped tie it all together and frame the story.

And let’s not forget that photo! It’s always the centerpiece — and the happy faces in it remind me exactly why I scrapbook.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to dive into your summer memories and get creative with Doodlebug’s newest release!  Happy creating!

SUMMER FUN SPLISH SPLASH LAYOUT | with Nathalie

It is the season of sunshine, beach, and fun!  And I am so glad that the beautiful Summer Fun collection is here to help me document all those fun and colorful memories with it.  I think all the fun designs and vibrant colors are just the perfect complement to our sun filled memories. Let me show you what I created:

I  wanted a design that would bring your eyes to the photo but at the same time showcase the fun look of this collection. So, I set to construct a sunburst design for my page using different patterns from the collection.

I started by gluing half of the Water Babies paper to the bottom of the white cardstock from the Texture Cardstock Assortment, then selected a center point for the photo.  Once I marked the spot, then I pulled my 6x8 paper pad and started cutting some of the papers into triangular strips to fit on   the page.

I laid them on the page so that the triangular pieces start at the designed point on the page and cover the top part of the paper.   I made sure that the triangles fan out of the center point marked, lay flat on the page, and then trimmed the excess outside of the layout.

Once the sunburst design was complete, I set the photo onto  a piece of the Let's Luau paper and set it atop of the joining point of the papers.   Next, I mixed pieces from Chit Chat, This & That stickers, mini sticker icons, and icon stickers to create clusters at the top left and bottom right corners of the photo.

Once the title was set on place, I then needed to balance the page by adding a smaller cluster at the bottom of the page.  This time, I pulled some of the This & That stickers and added a few icon stickers to complete the page.

I love how this turned out, and I hope it inspires you to pull your Summer Fun collection to document your fun filled memories. XO

SUMMER FUN - FAMILY VACAY LAYOUT | with Tya

Hi crafty friends! Today I am sharing a bright and tropical scrapbook layout I created featuring the Summer Fun collection. This layout captures a sweet memory from our family vacation to Puerto Vallarta last year.  It was one of those magical trips filled with laughter, zip lines, and sunshine- and this playful collection was perfect for documenting every colorful moment!

In the main photo, you can see the full 12x12 layout where I built layers of the vibrant pattern paper and whimsical die cuts to frame our family photo. I used the gorgeous leafy green Paradise Palms paper as the base and layered white cardstock with wavy stitched edges to add some interest. The photo is mounted on two sheets of pattern paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I wanted a smaller-scale pattern on this paper since my embellishments are a bit busy. The bottom strip features a festive row of some of my favorite icons that rest on a strip of Gull Friends and Beach Towel pattern papers and a bright, happy yellow scallop sticker strip from the This and That sticker sheet.

Let's get a closer few at some of the different parts of the page:  At the top of the photo, I created a playful title using some layered die cuts from the Chit Chat. I love that the family word is on a tag - that way I can add some yummy Tangerine Doodle Twine that is wrapped around the left side of the photo. I love the tropical feel of the orange in this layout. The cute little green chameleon is from the Puffy Icons and adds a fun, unexpected little touch - I love how this collection features so many cute little critters! I also added a few small flower stickers that are also found on the Puffy Icons.

The journaling area of the layout is built on a pretty notebook-style die cut found in the Bits and Pieces that I tucked next to the photo. I kept my writing short and sweet, but made sure to capture the highlights: ziplining, jungle exploring, and soaking in the Mexican sun! A "best trip ever" speech bubble from the Chit Chat, and a colorful blue floral heart, also from the Chit Chat, emphasize just how special this vacation was. Notice the tiny Puffy Icon flowers here as well.

Along the bottom of the layout, I had a blast creating a tropical scene using layers of die cuts and stickers from the Odds and Ends, Icon Stickers, and Puffy Icon Stickers. This border gave me a chance to play with dimension and texture while telling the story of our beachy adventures.

Here are some close-ups of the border:  On the left side of the layout,  I created a fun scene featuring a pink flamingo circle die from the Chit Chat, a Sandcastle Icon sticker, and a Puffy Icon smiling starfish and small white flower! All backed with various leaves from the Bits and Pieces.

In the center of the cluster, I added a beautiful orange hibiscus flower from the Bits and Pieces with an orange Puffy Icon flower in the center. Don't forget to say hi to the sweet little crab waving hello! He is from the Icon Stickers.

On the right-hand side, I paired a pretty pink polka dot camera next to the cutest toucan dies from the Odds and Ends. The coconut drink is a sticker and love the tropical feel it gives to this side of the layout. I tucked a "Scenic Spot"geotag to the end to tie in the pretty orange color on this strip. All throughout the border you will see little tiny Puffy Icon flowers here and there along the strip.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope this layout inspires you to pull out those sunny vacation photos and dive into the Summer Fun collection! Whether it's beach days, jungle hikes, or family laughter under the sun, this collection has everything you need to document your most treasured summer memories! Happy Crafting friends! SUMMER FUN - SUMMER TIME LAYOUT | with Nathalie

The new Summer Fun collection is here, and I am so excited to get all those fun memories documented with this fun, colorful, and cute collection.  This collection is so easy to work with it pretty much made it so easy to put this layout together.

I wanted a design that will showcase that would showcase the patterned papers in this collection, and decided to use them to create my background.

I started with one of the coordinating cardstock for the background of this spread.  Then used a combination of papers from the 6x8 Paper pad to build the triangles at the base of the page, then I cut pieces from Gull Friends and Let's Luau to create the top triangles on the layout.  I also added one of the scalloped edges to the top edges of the bottom triangles.

To make the photos showcase on the layout, I used patterned paper from the 6x8 paper pad to create frames behind them.  I set them atop the bottom triangles using foam adhesive. A mix of Bits and Pieces, Chit Chat and stickers help  to create clusters at the corners of the photos.

To finish my layout, I used Chit Chat to create my title and tie the two sides of the layout together.  A few pops of color using Sprinkles just brings it all together.

I love how this turned out, and I hope  it inspires you to document your memories using the new Summer Fun collection,  XO.

SUMMER FUN - SPLISH SPLASH LAYOUT | with Tya

Hi there, crafty friends! I hope you're all having a wonderful summer so far! I've been extremely excited to work with the new Summer Fun collection! I had the best time using all the playful icons, bold colors, and summer-ready patterns; it was the perfect choice to document our Slip 'n Slide adventures from a few years back.

At the top of the page, I layered the bold rainbow stripe found on the Beach Towel paper with a strip of cute polka dots from the Polka Dot Bikini paper, and a bright, scalloped orange textured cardstock border for that classic Doodlebug sunshine-y feel. I added a floral cluster from the Bits and Pieces ephemera and a title strip from the Chit Chat that reads "Fun in the Sun", which sets the tone for the whole page. Just below that, I included some typed journaling strips to share a little about our day in the sun- those simple memories are my favorite to document.

In the center, I  arranged three sweet photos of the kids laughing and sliding their way through the afternoon on some  Lily white cardstock. A little bit of ink splattering was added behind the photos for a watery look. To the left, a cute unicorn floatie  Odds and Ends die cut, and some cheerful florals bring a whimsical touch. Right in the middle, I layered the adorable "Splish Splash" title found in the Chit Chat die cuts, with some happy little water droplets from the Odds and Ends. Also, some pretty shiny Enamel Dots from the Summer Assortment add just the right finishing touch to the center of the flowers.

To the right, I added a pink polka dot bikini from the Odds and Ends, and on the bottom,m a classic beach ball to keep the water-themed vibe going strong. The embellishments in this collection are so easy to mix and match - I couldn't resist!

On the bottom corner of the layout, I created a fun little tag cluster featuring a pair of floral swim trunks (how cute are those??) from the Odds and Ends on a bright green tag from the Beach Picnic paper. I then added a few more touches with a "Lovin' it" speech bubble from the Chit Chat and a heart and flower die cut from the Odds and Ends. I topped the tag with some  Tangerine Twine to finish it off and balance the page. Bright scallops and a mix of that same rainbow stripe and polka dot paper anchor the top and bottom of the layout, giving it a cheerful, cohesive look.  I love how these little details work together and capture the joy of a carefree summer day!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope this sunny project has inspired you to grab the Summer Fun collection and start scrapping your own water-filled memories.  Whether it's pool days, sprinkler parties, or backyard adventures, this collection is bursting with everything you need to make your summer stories shine! Happy crafting, friends!
