BUNNY HOP HELLO EASTER LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Easter just passed, so it's time to document your memories in style using the cute Bunny Hop collection.  The colors, icons, designs are just perfect for all those happy memories, and also the ones featuring the bright Springtime colors.

I wanted to take advantage of the cards  in the Chickadees paper; so, I cut out  a few of them and then using a craft knife made sure to take the icon/sentiment from the center of the cards, so that they remain as frames.

Using foam adhesive, I adhered the frames to the Pistachio Floral Graph Petite Print paper, then  framed the entire paper with the Bunny Hop papers.  The inside of the "frames" provides perfect spots to add embellishments, the key was to balance the placement of all the embellishments and sentiments.

I placed the photo on the center frames, as I wanted to make sure that I could add the title next to it and fit it all in to balance the page, completely.    A few embellishments in a cluster at the top right corner of the photo help with the balance of the layout.

I loved having  small little canvases in each of the frames, I thought of the grid as a small gallery wall.  This was an easy to way to place the frames so that they follow a soft pattern on the layout.   To finish the page, I used some mini jewels in some of the frames and clusters to complete the spread.

I love how this turned out, and I hope it inspires you to use the new Bunny Hop collection for your next crafty project.

It has been a pleasure to share some ideas on how to use the beautiful Doodlebug Design collections with you all for the past years, but I have to take a break from the team, as I concentrate in family. I cannot wait to continue seeing what you all create! XO

LUCKY ME - HAPPY STORY LAYOUT | with Nathalie

We are starting Spring here in the northern hemisphere, and the weather has improved a little bit.  We are still spending time indoors and getting crafty.  I am loving the  Lucky Me collection  as it has the perfect color combination, the cutest icons and it is perfect to document all sorts of stories.  Here is what I have created:

I wanted to use a simple design for my page using some of left over pieces from previous projects.  So, a clean design was the way to go to highlight both the photo and the rest of the page.

I started by choosing Bumblebee floral/graph petite prints for my background.  Next, I cut strips of  Clover Patch and My Lucky Charm paper and layered them with some of the border strips from the This & That sticker sheet.   I framed my photo with a paper from the 6x8 paper pad, and set it on the layout.

I combined pieces from the All the Things pack and icon stickers to create a large cluster at the bottom left corner of the page.  I made sure that it balanced the top part of the layout.  I also added a few pieces from the icon stickers to create a cluster at the top right corner of the photo.  To finish, I added a few Sprinkles around the page.

I love how this turned out!  I hope this inspires you to get crafty with your Lucky Me collection, I cannot wait to see what you will create with it!  XO

LUCKY ME - LUCKY ME LAYOUT | with Nathalie

I am loving the new Lucky Me collection! All the colors, the cute designs, and the sentiments are just so perfect to document those special memories. I took a few pictures from my littlest cousins for this layout.

I love geometric patterns, and the rainbow stripes are just a great way to bring attention to areas of the layout.   I cut some from the 6x8 paper pad and then lined them up to create chevrons on my white cardstock.

I set my photos ( I framed these with papers from the 6x8 paper pad) in the center area where all the chevrons point, making them the focus of my layout.  I needed just a few embellishments to bring sentiment and color to them.

I balanced the position of the pictures by adding embellishments to  the corners of each picture.  This  helps make the page balanced even when the photos are only on one area of the layout.

I wanted to accent the diagonal lines in the layout, so I used them to position my title.   The key was to find the right fit.  I wanted it to fit on one line and be large enough to balance the other side of the spread.  I then used Sprinkles to create a guiding line to the center to the chevrons.

I love how this  turned out!  I hope this inspires you to get crafty with your Lucky Me collection, I cannot wait to see what you will create with it!  XO

LUCKY ME - LIFE MEMORIES LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Who is wishing for the weather to change and start to warm up just a bit?  Unfortunately it is going to take a little bit longer here in Canada, that means time indoors to work on crafty projects using the new Lucky Me Collection.  Oh the colors, designs, icons, and overall happy feeling is just what you need to bring some cheer to your life.

I  wanted color for this spread and to use the icons in an everyday memory.   So, a simple design was the way to go!

I started with the Limeade Gingham-Linen Petite Print  paper for the background of my page, then I cut a strip of the My Lucky Charm paper and added to the center of the paper.    To frame the photos, I pulled the frame paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad (I fussy cut the sun and cloud from it), then added another piece from the same pad to cover the image on the paper.

I framed the photos with a papers from the 6x8 paper pad, then placed them on the layout.  Then it was all about embellishing.  I used the fussy cut sun to start a line of embellishments from the top to the bottom of the photos.

To create my title, I mixed some pieces of ephemera and added some of the icon stickers to the left and right of the title so that the photos are anchored to the page. I love how the icons fit the photos just right!

To balance the page I combined pieces from the Mini Icons stickers and All the Things at the bottom edge of the page.   This makes the page centered and cohesive.  All I needed were just a few more pops of color using Sprinkles around the major clusters on the page.

I love how this turned out.  The colors and icons make it all pop nicely!  I cannot wait to see what you can create with the new Lucky Me collection. XO

SNOW MUCH FUN 6x8 LAYOUTS | with Nathalie

We are in a deep freeze here in Toronto, Canada!  I think this is one of the most snowiest and coldest winters I have survived, so being indoors gives me time to take some time to document some of my snow stories with the fun Snow Much Fun collection in my family 6x8 album.  Let me show you what I have created.

I loved working with a single collection to create quick and fun layouts, as the papers all work nicely together, it makes it so easy to mix and match patterns and embellishments.

I started with lily white cardstock from the Textured Cardstock coordinating collection.   The 6x6 paper pad was the right size paper to create the corner designs in the layout.   Once, I had the corners in place, I used one of the papers to frame my photo, and placed in the top left quarter of the page, and added a cluster to the top left corner of the photo.  To balance the page, I added a large title in the bottom right corner of the layout, all I need is my journaling.

I started this layout with  a base of the Frozen Flurry patterned paper, then used the 6x6 paper pad and stickers to create the top and bottom borders.  Next, I pulled all the clouds from the embellishment packs and adhered them at the top of the page.  I then  added a few snowflakes to create a snowy scene for the page.

For my last spread, I opted for a pocket page taking advantage of the cut-aparts on the Cold Streak patterned paper.   I used one of the 3x8 cards to create my journaling card, just added a large piece from Odds and Ends to cover the art in the card.

I used one of the 3x4 journaling cards in the Cold Streak paper to frame one of the photos, then built the 4x6 card using  6x6 paper pad papers and different embellishments.  I love how this turned out, and how easy they came together with the Snow Much Fun collection,

I hope this inspires you to pulled the collection to create a project of your own! XO

SNOW MUCH FUN - HAVING SNOW MUCH FUN LAYOUT | with Nathalie

We are living Winter at its peak here in Toronto, Canada.  We are buried under 60 cm of snow here, so  we are indoors and it is a good time to work on some crafty projects.  I pulled my  Snow Much Fun collection to document a few memories of winter days past.  Here is what I created:

I love the colors in the collection, and wanted to pull a few vibrant colors to bring this memories together in a simple design.

I trimmed  pieces from the Wintery Woods paper  and placed them on top of one of the textured cardstock to create a foundation for my photos.  I also trimmed a piece from the 6x6 paper pad  to frame the photo and repeated the pattern in a small strip at the bottom of the page.  I pulled a few of the border stickers complete my base.

Once I set the photos in place, then I started adding pieces of Chit Chat at the top left corner of the photo.  Then decided to add more stickers to bring more sentiments and interest to that space.

I wanted a large title to balance the pictures; so, I clustered pieces to create a large  title at the bottom right corner of the page.  I added a piece of Chit Chat above the cluster to create my title.   To finish, then I added sprinkles and a few Doodle-pops to  some areas just to bring it all together.

I love how this turned out and I  hope that it is inspire you to get creating with the Snow Much Fun Collection. XO

SNOW MUCH FUN - SNOW HAPPY TOGETHER LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Hey there! It's a new year, fresh start, and if you are in the Northern Hemisphere, then it is Winter time here.  So, what better way to get some of our snowy memories documented using the Snow Much Fun Collection.  Let me show you what I created!

I had this picture of my hubby and on a Winter outing.  I had leftover pieces from a previous project, so I decided to repurpose them into this project.

I started with a 9" circle piece of Frosted Friends Paper (leftover), this was trimmed in half and adhered to the corners of the Snow Much Fun paper.   The half circles already provide the placement for everything, so it was easy to get the rest of the page together after this.

Using papers from the 6x6 Paper pad, I backed my photo and placed it on the right of the top half circle.   I created two clusters at the top and bottom left corners of the picture using icon stickers, odds and ends, puffy stickers, and cardstock stickers.

I created a scene on the other side of the page (bottom circle) using a selection of  embellishments.  I made sure that spanned throughout the width of the circle so that it touches the photo on its right side.  Chit Chat is always the best way to create a title.  I just added a few more stickers and sprinkles to complete this layout.

I hope this inspires you to pull your Snow Much Fun  to document your winter and chilly memories in style, or any other crafty project.   Cannot wait to see what you will create. XO

SNOW MUCH FUN HELLO WINTER WONDERLAND LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Winter has arrived here in Canada, the cold weather, the snow, the short days are some of my favorite things.   The Snow Much Fun collection is just perfect to document your winter activities and memories.  The fun designs, icons, and overall feel of the collection makes it for a vibrant final product.  Let me show you what I have created.

I wanted to bring some of the details in the photo to the layout, so my choice was to create a frame within the page for this project.

I started by cutting by trimming the Frosted Friends paper to 11'' square, then a large circle from the center of it.   To create dimension and help with my design, I am adding foam adhesive behind the circle frame before adding it to the Ice Crystals paper.  But before finally attaching the frame, I backed the circle with white cardstock and cut papers from the 6x6 paper pad into waves and overlap them at the bottom of the circle.  A bit of foam adhesive helps to create the waves.

Next, I added a few trees from the Sticker icons to the top of the hills,   I added a few more icons to bring more interest to the layout.   I made sure to play with the dimension of the pieces, so that they had a relative size to the hills.

I used a contrasting paper from the 6x6 paper pad to frame the photo, then place it to the right of the circle atop the hills. Just a few extra stickers it was all it needed as there is so much interest every where else on the page.

To finish my page, I mixed pieces of Chit Chat and place it on the opposite side of the photo.  I added one of the Doodle-pops to the left of the title, then added puffy stickers, to the inside of the frame.

I love how this turned out, and I hope it gives you some ideas to use the beautiful Snow Much Fun collection Have a Happy New Year!! XO

OH WHAT FUN DECEMBER DAILY PAGES | with Nathalie

I  am slowly making a dent in past December Documented albums.  Yes, there are still dates that have yet to be filled, and I love the colors and designs in the Oh What Fun collection.   I had so much fun working on bringing my memories to live in my 6x8 album, let's take a look:
dd

I love how these came together so easily with a just a few combinations of papers and embellishments.  Sometimes all you need are simple designs to get it all together.

I started with this double spread that focuses on displaying the photos on the vertical lines of the spread tying them together with the same patterned paper - All Spruced Up.

I am using one of the papers from the 6x8 paper pad for the background of my page.  A tied white twine around the page, and used it to hang the photo on it.   I added pieces from the collection along the string to bring it all together.    A simple tile combining tags from Odds & Ends pack and Puffy Alpha stickers, complete the spread.

For this page, I am taking a advantage of the cards in the Merry Magic to create a pocket for my story.  I made sure my photos fit inside the card, then adhere to a piece of Spruce Up patterned paper.  Then adhere the card to the paper to create a pocket for my journaling card.

I am using the back of the previous spread to create this story.  I collaged my photos into a grid, and printed them together.  A simple title and the puffy stickers is all you need to embellish them.

I am using a piece of Pistachio Floral-Grid Petite print to create my journaling spot.  Once again  a combination of Stickers and Bits & Pieces help bring focus and sentiment to the page.
I love how these turned out using the Oh What Fun Collection for my December Documented 6x8 Cupcake album.  Hopefully they inspire you to get crafty with it! XO
