3D TOUCAN | with Jennifer

Hello everyone. I'm always inspired by the Doodlebug products I get to play with. So for my second Spring project, I decided to use a sentiment sticker from the Simply Spring collection as my starting point. I paired it with a cute toucan cutting file, and here's what I came up with.
The sentiment sticker was first mounted to chipboard. I then removed some flowers from a Doodle-Pop and used them to embellish the floral swag.
The toucan cutting file was cut from chipboard using my Silhouette and then mounted to layers of foam board.
Most of the bird was covered in paper, as usual. But for the toucan's back and tail feathers, I used a leaf shaped die. The green part of the wing is a cabbage Doodle-pop turned upside-down.
Two pieces of wood were used as the base. Flower shaped sprinkles and Doodle-pops were added for color.
Thanks so much for joining me today. Happy crafting everyone! :)

SIMPLY SPRING | Layout with Jana

Only have one photo for a page? Try creating a larger-than-life title to fill the rest of your layout like I did below on this fun page using the Simply Spring collection. Jana Eubank Doodlebug Simply Spring Home 1 900
I wanted to scrapbook this photo of my oldest and youngest daughters hanging out together at home, and thought it would be fun to use the Cozy Cottage Doodle-pop Sticker in place of one of the letters in the word "HOME." I die cut the large letters using an electronic die cutting machine and then placed the Cozy Cottage sticker on layered circles in place of the letter "O." The remaining letters are accented with the May Flowers Sprinkles. Jana Eubank Doodlebug Simply Spring Home 2 900
I had several scraps of patterned papers left over from a previous project. I layered them together behind my photo for more color. I placed a pair of Sunny Skies Cute Clips at the top left corner of the photo even more dimension. Jana Eubank Doodlebug Simply Spring Home 3 900 The flowers in the bottom right corner of the photo were created using the Garden Flowers Craft Kit. I scored the leaves and added Glitter Sprinkles to the flower centers. Jana Eubank Doodlebug Simply Spring Home 4 900
I capped the top of the page off with a sunny, scalloped border sticker from the This & That Sticker sheet ... Jana Eubank Doodlebug Simply Spring Home 5 900 ... and then added two colors of pink heart Sprinkles around the page for a lovey-dovey feel. Jana Eubank Doodlebug Simply Spring Home 6 900 There truly is NO place like home! Thanks for coming by!

SIMPLY SPRING | Notecard Set with Kathy

Today it seems that all communication is done electronically.  We rely on text, email and social media messages, forgetting how much it means to others when we send a little hand-written note or card, and how much we enjoy receiving them!  I thought it would be fun to create a little set of note cards in a box to give as a gift.  This would make a great present for a mom, friend or teacher...take a peek...
I used a few of  the new Doodlebug Stamp Sets to create the cards.  I kept them pretty simple... just a small 3x3 card with an image and a sweet sentiment, backed with papers from the Simply Spring and Hoppy Easter 6x6 pads.  I even made little coordinating envelopes from the 12 x 12 coordinating papers.  Here are some close-ups of the cards...

To house them I created a little box using Silhouette Model Maker.  I decorated it with some of the flowers from the Garden Flowers Craft Kit, the Spring Fling Odds & Ends and a cute little butterfly from the Little Critters Shaped Sprinkles.
The cards and envelopes fit perfectly!
If you would like to make a set for yourself, I have the Silhouette files for the box and envelope on my blog here.  If you do use the files, be sure to tag Doodlebug on social media, we'd love to see what you make!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

SIMPLY SPRING | 8x8 Storybook Album layouts with Traci

I'm working on a new album for my granddaughter and thought you might like to take a peek inside. I haven't gotten the journaling finished yet, but I love how this 8x8 Doodlebug Storybook Album is coming together!

I chose a white album so that all of the yummy Doodlebug color would really pop off the pages.
I used white card stock as the base of each page and then layered adorable Simply Spring pattern paper, odds and ends, and of course, sprinkles (my #1 favorite Doodlebug embellishment)!
I also used stickers from the This & That and icon sheets.

The die cut suns from the odds & ends pack made perfect little scallop circles for my journaling spots! And I love the multi-colored lined paper in this collection ... it's perfect for journaling!

I went a little sprinkles happy on these layouts!! (Love)
The photo above is one of my all-time favorite family photos with Rylee.  It captures her personality perfectly ... marching away from her mommy, daddy, and grandparents with a silly smile!

Did you know that Doodlebug has pocket pages for their albums too?  I love the 4x4 divided pages.  They make scrapping lots of photos super quick and easy!
Well, that's it for me today.  Once I add more pages to this album, I'll post them over on my blog so I'd love for you to follow me there, on Facebook, or on Instagram.  Until then, have fun with Simply Spring!!

SIMPLY SPRING | Daily Doodles Baby Album with Nathalie

Confession time: I have never made an actual baby album for my kids and now that they are much older it seems too daunting of an exercise at this point. I can't be the only one, right? But don't despair, here is my easier option: combine a Daily Doodle insert, some favorite photos, journaling notes and the Simply Spring collection which happens to be perfect for babies!

I first decided on photo placement and then used several die-cuts, stickers and the 6x6 paper pad from the collection to embellish and create layers directly on the page. I love the dotted inserts!

I also created my own embellishments with the new metal dies and stamps from the French Kiss and the So Much Pun collections. For the little postal stamp below, I used both the stamp and die from the French Kiss collection and a small sticker from the Simply Spring Icon sticker sheet.

This collection is so full of adorable elements and the one that sparked my inspiration for this page is this little boy on a swing:

So if you feel bad because you are "behind" in recording baby memories or an old trip (I have a bunch of those too!), I suggest this journal format to you. It doesn't take long to make a page, especially with a variety of die-cuts, papers and stickers from Doodlebug Design.
Happy crafting!

SIMPLY SPRING | Stamped Tags with Kay

Hi there! I have some cute tags to share with you today that I created with the Flower Girl and Oh Boy stamp sets from Doodlebug Designs. I loved the smaller images included in the sets and really wanted to focus on those for my project, so I made some tags!

For my first two tags, I used a large die and decorated the top and bottom with paper from the Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints 6x6 paper pad.

I used a circle stencil to blend a bit of blue ink in the center to create a focal point for the cute images. All of the images were colored with Copic markers, cut out with the coordinating dies, and added with foam tape. I used the tiny clothes pins and twine at the top.

The second two tags are a little bit smaller.  I used the same paper pack but decorated them a little differently.

I used the Simply Spring This & That Card Stock Stickers for the sentiments and added some Sprinkles to the top corners.

HOPPY EASTER | Daily Doodles Travel Planner with Jomelle

Do you like to change your planner set up frequently according to your mood or upcoming holiday?  I know Easter is over but it's more fun having an Easter theme set up in my Lots O' Dots Daily Doodles so I don't want to change it up just yet.
I had a hippity hoppity fun stuffing my planner pockets.
I just thought the bunny hugging the carrot is the cutest little thing. So I decided to use it as my center point of my insert cover.

I used my punch from my stash to create the purple and pink tag. I added the flower sprinkles and twines to finish it off. I inserted both of them behind to add a little layer. The pink doily also add a little egg-tra layer. I only used washi tape to adhere them so they can be pulled out and I can add a little journaling later on.
April Monthly layout using mostly the mini icons stickers which is the perfect size for any layout in your daily doodles inserts.
Do you enjoy watching your kids during the egg-hunt? I love seeing their happy faces every time they find an egg, especially if it's a very special egg with special surprise inside.
I don't feel so eggs-tra special since I have to work during Easter weekend. Since I work night shift, I will try to celebrate Easter Sunday with my family whenever I wake up from my beauty sleep.
So many egg-citing Easter Embellishments to get your crafty on.
 Thank you for stopping by.
