SNOW MUCH FUN - JUMBO CLIP EMBELLISHMENTS | with Conny

Hi crafty friends! Conny here from The Daily Life of Creativity, and today I’m sharing a quick and fun embellishment project using the Snow Much Fun collection. These jumbo clip embellishments came together super fast!   I wanted to create them as an addition to the mini album that I  previously posted. You can see the mini album here on the Doodlebug blog post and in my YouTube process video.

Here's how to put them together.  To start, grab your Snow Much Fun 6×6 paper pad;  all of our cutting is from this pad! Cut one piece of patterned paper to 6″ × 3.5″ (with the 6″ side as the long edge). Score that piece at 3″.  Next,  slide the paper through a jumbo paper clip and adhere it at the bottom, right in the middle, to keep it closed and secure.

Next, add a matted layer to the front. I left about ⅛″ to ¼″ of a border all the way around, but that is totally a personal preference. These matting papers are also from the 6×6 paper pad, so definitely pull those pads out and mix your patterns. Once the base is done, the decorating goes quickly and is so much fun.

From the Snow Much Fun Bits & Pieces, pick out four snowflakes and adhere them using foam dot adhesive for dimension. Using the Mini Icons, choose your favorites: little houses, polar bears, and all those adorable winter icons. Create small clusters by layering icons together with foam adhesive. Add a scallop border from the 12×12 sticker sheet along the bottom. Finish everything off with Shape Sprinkles and enamel dots, sprinkling them around the design for color and texture.

To finish the clips, I added some little yarn accents (those soft, poofy details you see at the top!). Here’s how I made them...

Wrap yarn around three fingers,  over and over,  until you’re happy with the thickness. Tie a separate piece of yarn tightly around the center. Cut the loops open with scissors and trim and round the yarn until it looks nice and fluffy. Simple, quick, and such a cute finishing touch!

These jumbo clip embellishments came together really quickly and make the perfect addition to winter projects. You can tuck them into a book, add them to a gift, or use them to embellish the Snow Much Fun mini album we created in a previous blog post/process video. If you’d like to check that out.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope this inspires you to create your own Snow Much Fun embellishments. Happy crafting!

SNOW MUCH FUN LAYOUT | with Jen

For my final Snow Much Fun Project I decided to do a simple layout. I wanted to document a fun event on a Disneyland trip. We went at the end of February,  a couple of years ago and it snowed!! It only lasted ten minutes and melted almost immediately but it was so fun and unexpected!

I started with the All Bundled Up paper and added the Spot of Snow paper at an angle on top. I added my title from the Chit Chat pack and lots of snowflakes from the Bits and Pieces.

I matted my photos with a coordinating solid and layered then onto the layout. I also matted my journaling cut apart with the same solid.

Finally, I layered together the two little flags from the Chit Chat and topped them with a snowflake.

Have a great day!

SNOW MUCH FUN - LET'S STAY HOME LAYOUT | with Traci

Hello crafty friends! Traci here and I hope everyone is staying warm and toasty at home during the winter storms. We got some snow in Georgia and my grandlittles couldn't wait to get out in it. So today, I'm sharing a 12x12 scrapbook page I made with the beautiful Snow Much Fun Collection and a few of their photos. ❄️

To make it, I chose some card stock for the base in gorgeous colors of blue jean, pistachio, and lilac. Then, I layered a sheet of lily white on top. Next, I designed three 9.5 inch circles and welded them together as one piece. I cut it out using my Cricut machine and adhered it to the page.

Time for embellishments! In the upper left corner, I added 3 beautiful snowflake die cuts from the Bits & Pieces and some cute little heart and snowflake puffy stickers. Then, a little bit of sparkle with the mini jewels.

In the right corner, I added the "Let's Stay Home" die cut from the Chit Chat, the Brrrrrr and heart stickers from the This & That, more mini jewels and puffy shapes, and snowflakes from the Bits & Pieces. Cute!

In the bottom corner, I created two 3x4 inch mats with the colorful 6x6 striped print called Cold Streak, then added my sweet photos on top. To decorate, I added the "Chilly" This & That sticker, the cute house die cut from the Odds & Ends, and an adorable penguin puffy sticker. And for a little extra detail ... I added some puffy stickers to the snowflake die cuts and a mini jewel to the house as a doorknob. Love!

This page is simple, fun to make, and filled with such cute embellishments. I hope you'll choose the beautiful Snow Much Fun Collection to document your special winter memories. Happy scrapping my friends! 😊

SNOW MUCH FUN - SNOW HAPPY LAYOUT | with Tya

Winter memories are some of my favorite stories to tell in my scrapbook albums, and this layout captures one of those moments that still makes me smile. I had so much fun creating this page using the Snow Much Fun collection, letting the playful colors, cozy patterns, and abundance of embellishments bring this family adventure to life.

This layout was all about letting the embellishments shine. I focused on layering patterned papers with scalloped edges to add texture while still keeping the design clean and balanced. The blue snowflake paper from Wintery Woods, paired with pops of the Limeade Petite Print, which I punched out a scallop border using a border punch,  really set the wintery tone, while the white space helped all those adorable embellishments stand out beautifully.

The photo I chose is one of my favorites—a snapshot of my family tubing together a few years back. It was cold, snowy, and full of laughter, which made it the perfect photo to document with this collection. The “Snow Happy Together” sentiment from the Chit Chat, in the bottom right corner, was the perfect finishing touch and really captured the feeling of the day.

I created embellishment clusters all around the photo and title using a mix of snowflakes, tags, and the cute kids from the Odds & Ends pack. These playful details help tell the story of the fun family day we were having and add lots of dimension and personality to the layout. One of my favorite things about working with Doodlebug collections is the variety of embellishments—there are so many ways to mix and match pieces to create unique clusters.

This layout is very embellishment-focused, which is something I absolutely love. Doodlebug truly has some of the best embellishments in the industry, and they make it so easy to add charm, texture, and storytelling details to every project.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope I’ve inspired you to pull out your winter fun family photos and document a snow happy together moment of your own. Happy scrapping!

SNOW MUCH FUN SNOW DAY LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! I hope you all stayed safe last week during the insane ice storm. Our son in Northwest Louisiana got a ton of snow and his college was closed all week. It was crazy and I'm grateful he stayed safe. We didn't get snow out where we live, so I dug out an older photo of our dog Luna playing in the snow a few years back. Who doesn't love puppies in the snow?! Here's my page:

To start, I thought it would be fun to change it up and have a patterned paper as my base instead of my usual go to of white cardstock. I ended up choosing the Snow Much Fun patterned paper and I absolutely love the white polka dots! I then went through the rest of the 12x12 patterned papers and selected all of the snowflake patterns. I ended up using these papers: Frosted Friends, Snow Day, Ice Crystals and Wintery Woods. I trimmed the Wintery Woods and the Snow Day papers into rectangles and then trimmed the Frosted Friends and Ice Crystals papers into strips. I layered them all together in an upside down "T" design and adhered them to my base. I love the look of all of the different snowflake patterns together!

I then matted my photo using several of the 6x8 papers from the paper pad and adhered it right in the middle of the beautiful Wintery Woods paper. That blue is just so stunning and really pops on my layout! Next, I went through the Bits & Pieces to find a journaling piece. I selected the notebook die cut, it's one of my favorites!! I added my journaling and then adhered it to the right of my photo. Not only would it be my journaling spot, but it would also serve as another placement for an embellishment cluster! I pulled in a few of the Icons stickers and layered them together on the top left and then made sure to include a snowman piece from the Odds & Ends pack. Adorable!

For my title, I chose the words 'Snow Day' from the Chit Chat pack because this day, was indeed a snow day! It was actually a snow week! For some extra interest, I made sure to pop the title up on foam tape and then I also embellished around it. Our dog Luna is mainly black and white (she has a little brown on her face) so I thought the adorable Penguin Pals Doodle-Pops were the perfect additions to the page!!! I added one near my title and then sprinkled a couple more on the opposite side of my layout.

I then built another embellishment cluster up at the top left of my photo since it seemed to empty in that area. I layered a few of the circle elements from the Bits and Pieces down first, added that cute 'Winter' tab and then followed all of that up with that cutesy bunny and tree. I ended up cutting the circle elements in half so that I could carry them over to the bottom right of the design. This helped balance and ground that cluster that I had started with first.

Lastly, I sprinkled in some of the small snowflakes from the Puffy Icons around the page and then drew some bold black lines around the edge of my layout using a pen from my stash. Here's one last look:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! I'll see you in my next post friends!
