HOMETOWN USA TRADITION MINI ALBUM | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! Nice to see you all pop by! Today I have some more red, white and blue inspiration for you when you next need to create something special! The best part about creating a mini album is that you can either keep it or gift it. My mini album keepsake is one that you could create and leave on the dining table at your next family gathering for your guests to add their fave traditions too! Stay tuned to see my video showcase of my mini keepsake album!

My tiny but mighty 3.5 x 5" mini album is super chunky and has sweet tuck spots and areas for guests to add their fave family tradition like who gets to light the most firecrackers, who bakes the best dessert and who eats the most stuffing or who drinks the most lemonade!

This page holds a sweet tuck spot for some journaling.  Perfect for a photo or two!

I love using the mini icon stickers as ephemera pieces, they are just the right size for mini projects.  How cute is this little parade cluster! I love to layer each piece one by one to create a scene.  So adorable!

Using the 6x6" paper pad, I cut some of the journaling spots and used them as piece to tuck more tags into.  This spot would be so cute to let guests write on a tag each.

The last couple pages have cardstock spots for more memory keeping.  I love the idea of letting everyone write their best July memory.  In years to come it can be looked back over and cherished!

Thank you again for visiting crafty crew! I hope you found some inspiration today! HOMETOWN USA LAYERED CARDS | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! Nice to see you all pop by! Today I have some red, white and blue inspiration for you when you next need to create some special Independence Day themed greeting cards! The best part about gifting a card is you don't need to have a special occasion, and gifting cards anytime during the year tells the receiver how much you treasure them!  Stay tuned to see my video showcase of my three greeting cards!

I created these fun layered stars as part of some decoration inspiration a couple years ago and thought they'd be super sweetiful on top of some cards.  I carefully peeled off the back larger star and added some fresh adhesive foam rectangles to give extra lift and layered each star onto the decorated card bases.

I find using a white textured cardstock piece behind my embellishments helps the eye to capture the completed look better.  If I had this star embellishment on top of patterned paper it would look too busy and cluttered.  A few sprinkles and starbursts helps decorate the front of card more, without losing focus.  To finish my cards, I've added a word sentiment to each to tie it all together.  So cute!

COLOR ME CRAFTY CLIPBOARD MINI ALBUMS | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! I am so excited to show you my latest project using the newest Doodlebug collection, Color Me Crafty! If you love to go to scrapbook crops, crafty swap meets or creative retreats, you'll want to create some fun clipboards that double as a mini album!  Stay tuned to see my video showcase of my two sweetiful 6x4" Friendship Keepsakes Clipboards! Each page has room for a name, social handles and favorite snack & color, so fun!

To create each clipboard, I've started with a 6x4 piece of chipboard, and covered it with a coordinating cardstock then a piece of patterned paper for the inside of the clipboard.  The best thing about Doodlebug collections are that each piece goes together, you can mix and match to your hearts content.

The front pages are super layered and I've loved piecing each page together.  I've used a mix of ephemera, puffy and mini icons stickers.  Everything has tied together so nicely.  I've also decorated each pink binder clip with alphabet beads and puffy stickers which turned out so cutie pie!

Each page I've created measure between 5.5 x 3.5, there is no precise measurements as I like to use random sized pages as it gives the variety to each page.  Once each page has been cut, I like to them build each cluster, page by page.  I'll then go over each page and add bits and pieces as I go.

Next time you go to a crafty gathering, get your new crafty friends to add their details! Memory keeping at it's best :-)  These would also be great gifts.  A great idea is to hang one of these on a lanyard! Definitely a great ice breaker! There is so many possibilities with these Clipboards.

COLOR ME CRAFTY DISC BOUND ALBUM | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! I am so excited to show you my latest project using the brand new Color Me Crafty collection! If you love color, crafty icons, fun elements and all the things, you will adore this amazing collection.  The colors remind me of Caboodles, Polly Pocket and holds so much fun!  Stay tuned to see my video showcase of my sweetiful 6x4" disc-bound mini album! Each page is a delight!

The front cover actually was the last page I created! I could not decide what to do until I came across this pile of photos ephemera piece in the odds & ends pack.  It looks perfectly paired with the "memories" layered Doodle-pop doesn't it! To elevate the cluster, I added some mini icon stickers. So cute!

To create the ticket shaped pages, I've cut the pages to 6x4 and using a 3/4" circle punch, I notched the top and bottom centers and each corner.  Easy peasy! Then once I have my eight page bases, I've then gone ahead and decorated them with stitching, layering, building clusters and sprinkled crafty goodness through out! With so much paper goodness in each Doodlebug collection, you'll be spoilt for choice.

BUTTERFLY KISSES CARDS | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! Thanks for popping by today! Today's post is simple, fun and easy to recreate! They are created using Butterfly Kisses with a front strip of cardstock to help pop your focus point!  I love re-visiting and re-creating with Doodlebug products because everything matches and co-ordinates with each other.  Once you start to build your collections, you'd be able to pull out anything to craft with, how fun! Hope you stay tuned for the video showcase at the end of this post.

I've used the cards & envelope pack from the Happy Healing collection.  The pink, green and blue ones are perfectly matched with the Butterfly Kisses collection, super adorable!

Have you ever noticed that the envelopes have sweet patterns inside? Talk about detail! Look at how stinkin' cute the polka dots are and the pink graph? Yes, please!

To start the card bases, I've machine stitched my chosen patterned papers from the 6x8 paper pad, onto some coordinating craft foam sheets.  This helps to add dimension and texture with the stitching.  I've used a quilting thread that is thicker than most threads, but any thread will do!  Once I've stitched, I've then adhered them to each card with liquid glue.  Then once bone dry, I've scalloped edged each card.  Cute, right!

Now is the fun part! Decorating to your hearts content! You may have a theme in mind.  For me, I love creating cards just because. And once finished, I wonder if I need to add more. If you know my crafting style, you'd know I love to create clusters from both ephemera and stickers! Then once I've finished my clusters, I need to add a dash here and a splash of finesse there by dotting some Sprinkles around. Nothing escapes me! Ha.
