Hello crafty friends, Happy Easter! It’s Conny here from The Daily Life of Creativity, and today I am sharing the sweetest, chunky album using the Bunny Hop collection.
This is honestly the chunkiest mini album I have ever created, and the photos truly do not do it justice. I highly encourage you to head over to my YouTube channel and watch the full flip-through so you can really see all the layers and dimension in this album. And if you do, let me know what you think—either here on the blog or in the video comments. I always love hearing from you!
So let’s get started.
The spine on this album is three inches wide, which is what gives it that chunky look. For the base, I used chipboard that is about 80mm thick because I love how sturdy it makes the album. For the spine, I cut one piece cut at 8 1/4 by 3 inches. Then, for the covers, I cut two pieces cut at 8 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
To wrap the covers, I pulled two papers from the Bunny Hop collection—paper Bunny Hop and Spring Sprouts. I trimmed both of those to 7 by 9 3/4 inches. These were used to wrap around the chipboard pieces. I placed my chipboard in the center of the paper, leaving about a 3/4-inch border all around. Then I added adhesive, mitered the corners, and wrapped everything tightly.
For the spine, I used the Hippity Hoppity paper, trimmed to 9 3/4 by 6 inches. I placed the 8 1/4 by 3-inch spine piece right in the center, leaving about t 1 1/2 inches on each side and about 3/4 inch at the top and bottom. I then folded the top and bottom in first, leaving the side flaps open.
Those side flaps are what will hold the album together. I added adhesive to them and attach them to the inside of the front and back covers, right onto the chipboard that is still exposed. I made sure everything was centered and lined up nicely as I stuck it down.
And just like that my album was ready!
Once the cover, spine, and covers were all adhered together, I started on to the inside of the album.
For the inside cover, I used the Bunnies and Beans paper. I trimmed that paper down to 8 1/8 inches, keeping the full 12-inch length, and then cut it to 8 1/8 by 3 inches. This piece was adhered to the right side of the inside cover.
This paper is so beautiful—I made sure to use the side with the cute little bunnies, eggs, and chocolate bunnies because it just brings everything together and really sets the tone for the album. On the opposite side, using the Spring Sprouts paper, I adhered the floral pattern facing up, and it is just super, super adorable. I love how soft and springy it looks when you open the album.
Now moving on to the pages.
For this album, I created five (5) pages using white cardstock. Each piece was trimmed to 8 1/4 by 10 1/2 inches. On the 10 1/2 inch side, I scored at 1/2 inch and again at 5 1/2 inches.
This created the base for my pages with a flap, and that 1/2 inch section is what I used to adhere each page into the spine, right in the center.
This gives the album structure while still allowing all those layers to build up. I also added a couple of different page variations in this album just to see how they would look and function.
One of the pages measures 5 1/2 by 8 1/4 inches, and on the 5 1/2 side, I scored at 1/2 inch. This is actually the very last page in the album, so it’s a single page, and I love how it finishes everything off nicely.
I also tried a slightly larger page just to experiment a bit. That one measures 11 by 8 1/4 inches, and I scored at 1/2 inch and again at 5 1/2 inches on the 11-inch side. This page ends up being almost flush with the covers of the album, which is why I only added one. I found that I personally like the slightly shorter pages better because everything feels a little more tucked in and neat, but if you like that fuller look, this is definitely a fun option to try.
For one of the other pages that is 10 1/2 inches wide, I scored at 1/2 inch, then again at 5 1/2 inches, and also at 6 inches. This created a small 1/2 inch spine that lifts up, giving you a little gap and extra dimension. The first 1/2 inch section is what I used to adhere the page into the album, and then that extra space gave it that interactive feel.
Inside this album, I added two waterfall elements. For the waterfalls, I used pieces that measure 6 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches, and on the 6 1/2 side, I scored at 1/2 inch. I created four pieces for each waterfall. For the closure, I used a piece that is 2 by 4 1/2 inches and scored at 4 inches. I also used a scallop punch on each of the waterfall pages to give them that soft decorative edge, and I absolutely love how that detail turned out.
Some of the pages also include additional flip-outs. These are around 6 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches, scored at 1/2 inch, and adhered to create more interactive spots. I also brought in some of the cut-apart tags and 4x4 cards from the collection to use as smaller flip elements throughout the album.
I added magnets throughout, especially on the waterfall sections, just to help keep everything closed and secure. If you are making onne, you can really place those wherever it makes sense, depending on how your pages are layered.
Some longer flip pages run almost the full length of the album, which is about 8 1/4 inches. For those, I used pieces that are roughly 8 3/4 inches and scored at 1/2 inch. I added a punched detail at the bottom for a decorative touch, and those are placed toward the front of the album.
Altogether, this album can hold around 70 photos, which makes it perfect for documenting all your Easter and spring memories.
For embellishing, I used a mix of the Doodlebug Design products, including Chit Chat, Odds & Ends, Bits & Pieces, Icons, Mini Icons, stickers, and pretty much every patterned paper from both the 12x12 collection and the 6x6 paper pad.
The 6x6 pad was especially perfect for matting the smaller pieces and the waterfall elements.
On the back, I created a pocket to hold additional photo mats. For that, I used a piece that is 6 by 4 inches and scored 1/2 inch on the left, right, and bottom. I also used a 1 1/2 inch punch to create that curved opening, which added a nice little detail and makes it easier to pull the cards out.
From there, it’s all about layering, textures, and having fun with the embellishments. I added ribbon for a soft finishing touch, and just built everything up with dimension.
I truly had so much fun creating this album, and I would love to know what you think! And if you’d like to see a full process video of me putting this album together, let me know—I might just have to make one.
Honestly, the photos don’t even begin to show how many layers and details are in this album. It is so full of dimension, texture, and interactive elements—it’s just one of those projects you really need to see in motion to fully appreciate.
That’s why I highly recommend heading over to my YouTube channel and watching the full walkthrough. You’ll be able to see all the flips, waterfalls, and hidden details that just don’t come through in photos.
This album is absolutely stunning in person, and I had so much fun creating every single page. Thank you so much for stopping by!
Happy Easter, Xo Conny!
Long before I started making mini albums I made a lot of 3D projects. So for my final design team project I decided to make a decor piece using elements from the Bunny Hop line and some Bunny Hop SVG Files.
I used the adorable Bunny Hop - Bunny in Truck SVG file found in the Lori Whitlock Shop to create this cute decor piece. The base elements were cut with my Glowforge from lightweight birch wood but this could be done by cutting the elements with a Cricut or Silhouette, tracing on to foam board and cutting by hand. To fill out the scene I added the the Bunny Hop - Striped Egg and Bunny Hop Tree SVG Files.
For my base I used a random splat shape from Cricut Design Space because I wanted a more organic base. Into that piece I cut a well to add a little shaker element using the Bunnies and Chicks Shakers and Spring Flowers Shakers. I covered my base with the Spring Sprouts and May Flowers 12x12 papers cut with my Cricut.
I wanted to make the truck as dimensional as possible so I cut and layered some of the elements from the SVG file. I covered these elements with papers from the Bunny Hop Coordinating Cardstock and Coordinating Petite Print papers. I also added the Egg Shape Sprinkles in the back of the the truck. I added a Chit Chat piece on the door of the truck as well.
For a finishing touch I made a tiny banner to hang on the trees using the Bunny Hop Puffy Icons and some Bubblegum Doodle Twine.
If you would like to make your own version you can find the cut files linked below on Lori Whitlock's site.
Finally, I would like to thank Doodlebug for the opportunity to design with my favorite brand for the last three years! It has been a fun ride!

Happy Thursday, friends! Easter is just a few days away, and today I’m sharing a fun 12x12 layout created with the adorable Bunny Hop collection. This might be one of my all-time favorite Doodlebug collections. In fact, if you’ve been following along on Instagram or Facebook this week, you know I’ve been sharing “Five Days of Bunny Hop” all week long, and today’s layout is Day 4!
For my background, I started with the pretty Spring Sprouts paper and layered a piece of white cardstock in the center. I love fitting several photos onto my layouts, so I added four photo mats using the Carrot Patch paper along the left side of the page. Behind the photos, I tucked in a piece of the May Flowers accent paper. Those colorful flowers are absolutely gorgeous and definitely my favorite pattern in the entire collection!
Above the photos, I layered a few tags from the Easter’s On Its Way sheet, then added a doodle twine bow and a few flowers from the Bits & Pieces pack.
In the lower right corner, I used two scallop stickers from the This & That sticker sheet to create a sweet little border. Then I added lots of colorful eggs, a fun Chit Chat title, and a few Hello Spring Shape Sprinkles for just the right amount of shine. And of course, I couldn’t resist adding a trio of the adorable Springtime Peeps Doodle-Pops scattered around the page!
My favorite finishing touch might be the Easter egg garland on the right side. I created it with three rows of twine and hung tiny Odds & Ends Easter eggs from pop dots. It looks just like a cheerful little Easter banner—and honestly, now I think I need a real one hanging in my house too. So cute!!
I hope this page has inspired you to create something fun with the Bunny Hop collection! Happy Easter everyone!
Today I’m so excited to share a sweet and colorful Easter mini album I created using the adorable Bunny Hop collection. I honestly couldn’t resist this one—the mix of soft rainbows, fresh spring florals, and the cutest little bunnies and chicks completely stole my heart. It just feels like sunshine, new beginnings, and all the happy vibes of the season.
For this project, I decided to create a 3.5" x 8" mini album, which is such a fun and unique size. It’s perfect for layering all those gorgeous patterned papers while still leaving plenty of room for photos, pockets and little details that make your memories come to life.
For the cover, I started with the rainbow striped side of the Bunny Hop paper trimmed it to 8.25 inches. To make it sturdier, I backed it with Hippity Hoppity paper, cut to the same size, and machine stitched them together using light blue thread. I then scored the piece at 3.5 inches from each side to create a 1.25 inch spine.
For the inside pages, I used a mix of the remaining papers to create a 3" x 8" booklet with six sheets stitched together. I did vary the page sizes slightly for added interest, which I’ll call out below.
One of my favorite elements is the pull-out accordion page made with the Spring Sprouts paper. I trimmed it to 8" x 12" and scored along the long side at 3", 6", and 9". After folding, it creates a fun accordion, with the final 3" section serving as the back side of the booklet when stitched in.
I embellished throughout using a mix of die cuts, Doodle-Pops, and stickers. I added 2.5" x 2.5" photo placeholders, and I love how everything comes together into one cohesive design.
Another favorite element I always include is a pocket page—you’ll find these in almost all of my albums! For this one, I trimmed Everything Easter paper to 8" x 8" and scored it at 2" to form the pocket. I machine stitched along the top and bottom, leaving the left side open for tags and photos. I finished it off with a few circle embellishments and the hello spring Shape Sprinkles.

Hello friends! With Easter right around the corner, I couldn’t resist creating something sweet, simple, and oh-so-cute using the Bunny Hop collection. These darling chocolate bunny treat holders are the perfect little addition to any Easter basket, and they came together so quickly!
Did you know that each Doodlebug collection comes with a coordinating Petite Print pack and a matching textured cardstock pack? I love having those options right at my fingertips—it makes mixing and matching effortless and ensures everything ties together beautifully!
For these treat holders, I used a mix of those coordinating papers along with some adorable elements from the Bunny Hop collection. The cute bunny chocolates peeking out make the perfect focal point, and I layered on tags, twine, sprinkles, and sweet little embellishments to give each one that extra “Tya touch” of texture and dimension. Each holder has its own personality thanks to the different color combinations, but they all work together so perfectly as a set.
To start, I cut my base piece from some bubblegum textured cardstock to 2” x 8¼”. This will create the main structure of the treat holder and gives it that sturdy feel while still keeping everything nice and lightweight. For the patterned paper, I cut a piece of the Cupcake Candy Stripe/Sprinkles paper from the Petite Prints pack—one measuring 1¾” x 5” for the tall back panel and one measuring 1¾” x 2” for the front pocket piece.
Next, I used my score board and scored along the 8¼” side at 1” and 3 1/8”. These score lines are what form the pocket and give the holder its shape, so be sure to get nice crisp folds for the best results.
Once everything was scored, I folded along the lines to start forming the pocket. You’ll see how quickly it begins to come together into that adorable little holder shape! I love how these coordinating prints add just the right touch of pattern and color. I adhered the patterned paper pieces onto the base, lining everything up so the pocket section looks clean and polished. This step really brings the whole project to life!
Next, I used a tag punch at the top of the holder to create that cute tag shape. I also used the punch on the other end of the paper that was folded over. I like how this finishes up the paper and makes it cohesive.
Once the base was ready, I added my chocolate bunny inside the pocket and used adhesive to secure it in place so it stays put.
Then I wrapped some chunky twine around the holder and tied it into a bow. This adds texture and that perfect handmade touch that I just love.
Finally, I decorated the front with some of the sentiment banners from the Chit Chat, Easter Assortment Sprinkles, and the Puffy Icons Stickers from the Bunny Hop collection. These little details are what really make each treat holder unique and extra special!
These are such a fun way to dress up a simple chocolate bunny and turn it into a thoughtful handmade gift. They would be adorable tucked into Easter baskets, shared with friends, or even used as place settings for a spring gathering!
Here are a few close-ups of each of the holders:
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope I’ve inspired you to pull out your Bunny Hop collection (and those fabulous coordinating papers!) and whip up a batch of these cute, quick, and easy treat holders. They’re guaranteed to bring a smile and look absolutely perfect in anyone’s Easter basket.
Hey friends! Brianna Estrella here today and I'm so excited to be working with the Bunny Hop collection again! I absolutely love all of the adorable icons, pretty patterned papers and stunning color palette. We took our daughter to see the Easter Bunny for her first Easter and the photos turned out so good. I couldn't help but document another photo from this fun tradition! Here's my page:
When I was going through the collection, the shadow box insert kit kept getting my attention. I've always wanted to use one for a scrapbook layout, so I pulled it out and got to work. If you haven't worked with the shadow box insert kit before, you definitely need to. It comes with everything that you need and putting it together is so therapeutic! Put on your favorite show and just follow the template with instructions. Super simple process!
Here's an up close of shot of how it looks with all of the stickers together. Some pieces are popped up on foam for extra interest and dimension. Adorable!
Once I had all of my embellishments down on the vellum insert, I selected the Bubblegum cardstock from the solid assortment pack and trimmed it down to an 8.25x8.25 size. This would be the matte for my vellum insert and it would be the perfect pop of pink behind it. To continue with the simplicity and to frame my beautiful insert, I took some white cardstock that I had trimmed to an 11x11 size and adhered the embellished vellum to it. I then took those layers and adhered them to the Easter Everything paper. I'm so in love with how it all looks together!!
Next, I went through the Chit Chat pack in search of a title. I selected a simple 'Happy Easter' banner and adhered it at the top of my page. I then added a 'So Sweet' flag that I added some white twine to and added it under my photo. My girl was so happy to see the Easter bunny!
I thought about adding more embellishments but I really loved the simple look of this page so I chose not to. The large group of embellishments, simple title and my photo were perfect as is. Here's one last look:
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way. The shadow box kit is such a great way to spark inspiration and it really does all of the designing work for you. I think it's perfect for on the go creating or if you're wanting to create but don't have a lot of time! See you next time friends!
