COLOR ME CRAFTY CLIPBOARD MINI ALBUMS | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! I am so excited to show you my latest project using the newest Doodlebug collection, Color Me Crafty! If you love to go to scrapbook crops, crafty swap meets or creative retreats, you'll want to create some fun clipboards that double as a mini album!  Stay tuned to see my video showcase of my two sweetiful 6x4" Friendship Keepsakes Clipboards! Each page has room for a name, social handles and favorite snack & color, so fun!

To create each clipboard, I've started with a 6x4 piece of chipboard, and covered it with a coordinating cardstock then a piece of patterned paper for the inside of the clipboard.  The best thing about Doodlebug collections are that each piece goes together, you can mix and match to your hearts content.

The front pages are super layered and I've loved piecing each page together.  I've used a mix of ephemera, puffy and mini icons stickers.  Everything has tied together so nicely.  I've also decorated each pink binder clip with alphabet beads and puffy stickers which turned out so cutie pie!

Each page I've created measure between 5.5 x 3.5, there is no precise measurements as I like to use random sized pages as it gives the variety to each page.  Once each page has been cut, I like to them build each cluster, page by page.  I'll then go over each page and add bits and pieces as I go.

Next time you go to a crafty gathering, get your new crafty friends to add their details! Memory keeping at it's best :-)  These would also be great gifts.  A great idea is to hang one of these on a lanyard! Definitely a great ice breaker! There is so many possibilities with these Clipboards.

Thank you again for visiting crafty crew! I hope you found some inspiration today! Please remember to tag Doodlebug Design in your Socials when you create with our products so we can all admire your creativity! We love seeing your creations! Until next time; doodle doo!  Enjoy my video showcase!

COLOR ME CRAFTY EVERYDAY CARDS | with Karen

When summer starts, it is usually a chance for me to start catching up on the things that I often don't get to during the school year - you know, the little cleaning and fix-it up jobs that you can live without doing, but feel better when you do. Well, that's what I have on my plate right now, but let's be real - am I going to do those things right away?! No - I am going to craft!

And I am starting that crafty fun with a set of what I call "everyday cards". These are the cards that you always need around - birthday, thank-you and thinking of you. This is one of my favourite things to do with new collections because it is a fun way to explore new collections without the pressure of the project being for something specific. This set uses the Cards & Envelopes set that coordinates with Color me Crafty and uses the 6x8 Patterned Paper as the base.
From there, I found these cute little sentiments on the B side of one of the sheets of paper from that pack and just fussy cut them to go on each card.
Then the layering fun started! I used a bunch of the floral die cuts from the Bit's and Pieces pack and then layered them either behind or in front of the sentiment. On two of the cards I used some foam adhesive on some of the flowers to create more depth to the card...
...but on the one, I just used regular adhesive so it would be mail friendly. Even if the flowers don't pop up quite as much, I still think that they layered look is accomplished effectively.
And last, but certainly not least, I used a few of the coordinating Color me Crafty Sprinkles for a little shine on a couple of the cards. Using something with a different finish creates a really polished look on the cards.
So, was this a good way to procrastinate just a little bit longer on some of those cleaning tasks?! You bet! I am sure that future me will thank me when I need a card for a special event! :)
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

COLOR ME CRAFTY - CRAFT ORGANIZER BOX | with Miguel

Color Me Crafty is undoubtedly a favorite collection among scrapbookers!  Today I created this box using the *cartonnage* technique— something I truly love and enjoy doing. I used the Color Me Crafty Solid Assortment to create contrast against the patterned paper and incorporated a shadow box as the focal point and closure for the box.

For the shadow box, I used small scraps of paper to add life and color to the project, and I decorated this lovely cover using Chit Chat and Odds and Ends pieces, adding buttons and puffy icon stickers to brighten it!

The box is constructed with several flaps, The shadow box I created serves as the closure; the entire interior is lined with designs from the Color Me Crafty collection.

I designed this box to organize small scrapbooking tools, and it also serves as decor for my workspace. Thanks for stopping by; I hope you enjoy my work, as always. See you soon!

COLOR ME CRAFTY CUSTOM PLACE CARDS | with Tarrah

A burst of color, personality, and handmade charm — that’s exactly what these custom place cards deliver. Using the gorgeous Color Me Crafty collection, each card becomes a tiny celebration of creativity, friendship, and the joy of making pretty things. Perfect for group events, they instantly make everyone feel seen and included. They’re more than labels — they’re keepsakes.

Each card starts with a sturdy base using various papers from the Color Me Crafty '6 x 8' paper pack. From there, the magic happens:

Step 1: Create the place card bases:

  • Cut cardstock rectangles for the base - mine measure 3.25 inches x 3.75 inches

  • Score and fold each piece in half to create a tent‑style card.

  • Burnish the fold with a bone folder so they stand nicely.

Step 2: Add patterned paper layers:

  • Trim patterned paper panels slightly smaller than the front of your card base.

  • Mix and match patterns—stripes, dots, icons—but keep colors coordinated.

  • Adhere the panels to the front of each base with tape.

Step 3: Build the name panel:

  • Cut a solid cardstock strip or label shape to hold the name.

  • Die‑cut or add alphabet stickers for the person’s name.

  • Center the name on the strip and adhere.

  • Attach the name panel to the card front—use foam tape for dimension.

Step 4: Add some fun words:

  • Choose a word or phrase (BESTIE, FUN, CRAFTY, HAPPY, FRIENDS, LOVE, etc.).

  • Die‑cut or sticker the letters and place them under or beside the name.

  • Layer on a small banner or label behind the word to make it pop.

Step 5: Decorate with crafty icons:

  • Pick icons that match the Color Me Crafty theme—scissors, rulers, cameras, hearts, flowers, paint brushes, etc.

  • Cluster embellishments around the name and word, tucking some behind layers and popping others up with foam tape.

  • Balance the design by spreading color and shapes across the card (top, bottom, left, right).

Step 6: Add finishing touches:

  • Include tiny details like enamel dots, hearts, or small stickers to fill any empty spots.

  • Check dimension—make sure nothing overhangs so much that the card won’t stand or store easily.

  • Gently press everything down so the adhesive grabs well.

  • Machine stitch along the strip of paper and the top of the scalloped border sticker for a handmade touch.

The result is a lineup of cheerful, layered place cards that look like tiny art pieces — perfect for brightening any creative space.

Perfect for group events, they instantly make everyone feel seen and included. They’re more than labels — they’re keepsakes.

COLOR ME CRAFTY ONE SHEET MINI ALBUM | with Kathy

Have you ever discovered a project on socials and immediately thought, "I must make this!"?  That's what happened to me when I saw a fun one-sheet mini album tutorial by @kmaliche on Instagram.  It's such a fun design, and I thought it would be a great project using the Color Me Crafty collection.  How fun would it be to make this at a crop?

The base of the  album is made up of one 12x12 sheet of cardstock, scored and cut according to the directions given in the tutorial.  You then decorate "pages" on both sides of the paper before folding it into a book.  Here are the back and front of the page decorated, before they were folded into shape.  There are 12 pages in the book, six on each side of the folded paper.

Once you've decorated all the sections, the page folds up into a fun mini that ties together.  Below are the pages of the book while folded....

For my cover, I chose to mix and match some of the Puffy Word Stickers for my title.  I then added stickers from the Icon Sticker Sheet.

My back cover is decorated with one of the Odds & Ends and a word sticker from the This & That sticker sheet.

When you open the album, you find lots of fun pages full of flippies, pockets and plenty of room for your crop photos!  I covered the pages with a variety of papers from the collection and decorated with This & That, Odds & Ends, Chit Chats, Bits &  Pieces, Shaped Sprinkles, Icon and Puffy Stickers.

The tags from the Colorway Double sided cardstock fit perfectly into the book, and I just love the tabs from the Bits & Pieces!!

I love how the tutorial creates gussets so that you can layer in the album without it being bulky!  I created a fun flip through video, because everything is better in motion!!

I am so happy with how this came out!  Now to fill it with some fun crop photos.  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

COLOR ME CRAFTY ONE PAGE MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello crafty friends!  It’s Conny here from The Daily Life of Creativity, and today I’m back sharing another project using the colorful and fun Color Me Crafty collection.

Let's get started! For this project, I created this adorable mini album that’s perfect for documenting crafty retreats, crop weekends, creative friends, and all those special crafting memories.

The album measures 4” x 5¾”. To create the base, I started with one sheet of the Color Me Crafty Solid Assortment textured cardstock in purple. I scored the 12” side at 4” and 8”. Then I turned the cardstock and scored at 5¾” and 6¼” to create a ½” spine.

Next, I trimmed away the ½” sections on both ends and folded everything accordion-style so the pages alternate from top to bottom, creating a fun zig-zag interactive structure. You can absolutely make this album using only the 6” x 8” paper pad, but I wanted the covers to be a little sturdier, so I added chipboard covers. The chipboard pieces were trimmed to 4” x 5¾” and covered with papers from the 6" x 8" paper pad measuring 6 3/4" x 5". I chose the adorable icon print for one side and the floral pattern for the other, which coordinates beautifully with the colorful theme.

For the inside pages, I layered patterned papers, cardstock mats, and photo mats throughout the album. The larger photo mats measure approximately 3½” x 5¼”, making them perfect for photos from your favorite crafty adventures. For the cover, I used the Just a Note Doodle-Pop along with the BFF's Doodle-Pop. I layered them with stickers from the This & That sticker sheet, added a few puffy hearts and icons, and finished everything with dimension using foam adhesive.

Before attaching the chipboard covers to the album base, I secured this beautiful rainbow ribbon closure. I found it online, and I think it coordinates perfectly with all the bright and cheerful colors in the Color Me Crafty collection.

I absolutely love how colorful and interactive this mini album turned out, and I think it’s the perfect place to document crafty retreats, classes, crop weekends, and all those wonderful memories made with creative friends.

Let me know what you think, and I’ll see you again soon with another crafty project!
Xo, Conny!
