BALLOONS & BANNERS TAG MINI ALBUM PAGES | with Conny

Hello crafty friends! It’s Conny from The Daily Life of Creativity, and today I’m sharing a fun mini album I made with the Balloons & Banners collection. I started by cutting out some of the large tags, thinking I'd use them for gift bags or baskets. But once they sat on my desk, I had another idea… why not turn them into photo pages? And just like that, my tags became a mini album! The tags measure approximately 4 ¼” x 6 ½”, and because the tags are nice and large, they give you plenty of room for photos and embellishments.

I also created paper ruffles with the patterned paper and added them to the bottom of the tags. These ruffles are so fun and easy to make—I just creased the paper to get that playful, textured and adhered then on top with foam adhesive for dimension. For the photo mats, I used 3 ½” x 3 ½” white mats. On some of the tags, I added coordinating cardstock and turned them into fun flip pages. They open either to the left or right.  If you want to create the flip pages, you’ll need a piece of cardstock measuring 7 ½” x 7 ½”, scored at 3 ¾”. Then you can add your white photo mat to the front.

For the embellishing, I kept the clusters fun and playful by mixing the Puffy Words, mini icons, Doodle Pops, and other small embellishments from the collection. I love how the Doodle Pops have those fun layers that add so much dimension.

I also used the new Boutique  Wired Pom-Pom trim in Tangerine and Bumblebee on a couple of the pages. I love adding little pieces of trim like this because they not only add texture, but they also make it easy to see where to grab the page and flip it open.

And when you flip those pages, there are even more little embellishment details waiting underneath!

There are so many ways to use these tags! And the fun thing about then is that they don’t have to become a mini album! You can absolutely keep them as gift tags and add them to a gift bag, basket, or package.

You could even add a favorite photo of the person you’re giving it to, turning the tag into a little keepsake they can save. The flip pages are also perfect for writing a special message, adding a little note, or even documenting a favorite memory.
