MONSTER MADNESS SPOOKY FUN MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello Crafty Friends, It’s Conny here from The Daily Life of Creativity, and today I’m sharing a 4.5” x 4.5” mini album using the adorable Monster Madness Collection. This is actually my first time creating with this collection, and oh my goodness, I had so much fun putting these pages together!

To get started, I cut two 4.5” x 4.5” covers using patterned papers from the collection: October 31st, Eye See You, Halloween Night, Mad Plaid, Treat Yourself, and Monster Madness. For the mats, I used the coordinating cardstock in Bubblegum, Mandarin, Swimming Pool, and Orchid, cutting them down to 4” x 4” so they layer perfectly on each page.

Each page was embellished with a mix of stickers, washi tape, and die-cuts from the collection. I added fun details, such as stitched borders with my pen, playful monsters, and lots of bright pops of color. Some pages have spots ready for photos, while others are perfect for journaling those spooky memories.

To bind the album together, I used a pumpkin acrylic cover albums. I embellished the cover with cardstock stickers, puffy icons, and added gold rings to hold everything together. I finished it off with black tulle at the top for a little extra flair and texture.

The Monster Madness Collection is filled with silly, not-so-scary monsters, candy, and bold colors that make it perfect for kids’ Halloween memories or just for anyone who loves a fun, playful twist on spooky season. MONSTER MADNESS - MONSTERS IN THE CLOSET MINI ALBUM | with Jen

There might be monsters in your closet! Thankfully they're the super cute Doodlebug kind! This week I'm working with the adorable Monster Madness collection. I have always loved this collection and never had a chance to work with it when it first came out so I was THRILLED to get to use it for my project with week! 

I have made a very simple 5x7 mini album. The inspiration for this project was the Odds and Ends pieces with the monsters and ghost peeking out of the door. I used the Monster Madness Haunted Door SVG File available in the Lori Whitlock shop  to make the door for the front of my album. Rather than cutting the same monsters I used the Mini Monsters, Boo to You, and Candy Monster Doodle-Pops. I added my Spooky title from the Chit Chat pack. 

Inside are four pages, all with the same layout. I added a pocket to the front of each page and flap that I decorated like a door using the Monster Madness Solid Cardstock Pack. For doorknobs I used the Halloween Assortment Sprinkles. Each door also got a Chit Chat piece as door decor. 

Inside each pocket is an insert that fits 4x6 photos. There are monsters from the Odds and Ends pack hanging out on the edge of each insert so it looks like they are peeking out the doors as you flip through the album. 

On the last page of the album I added the Odds and Ends piece that inspired my album. 

On the back of the album I couldn't help myself,  I build a little scene using some more of the Odds and Ends.

MONSTER MADNESS PINK CAR MINI ALBUM | with Traci

Hello everyone! Traci here and today, I have the cutest Halloween project to share with you. It's a pink car shaped mini album that I made with the adorable Monster Madness Collection and a spooktacular cutting file. It's titled Be Scary and it's a fa-boo-lous little scrapbook for your fun holiday photos.

For the shape, I used the Odds & Ends die cuts as inspiration. I loved the pink car, so I chose the matching cut file called Monster Mash Pink Monster Car. I sized it to 8x6 inches and cut two covers out of white acrylic - but you could use card stock. Next, I chose the pink polka dot side of the 12x12 Mad Plaid paper for the car, the Petite Print Swiss Dot in pistachio for the rear window, and beetle black and grey textured solids. 

The cutting file comes with monsters, but I chose to use some funny little die cuts instead. Then, I added stars from the Midnight Magic shape sprinkles and two enamel dots from the Halloween assortment. And those teeny tiny adorable spiders ... they're from two different Doodle-pops - Eek and On the Web. So cute!

Inside, there are 12 white scrapbook pages that I covered in colorful patterns from the 6x6 paper pad. I added journaling cards from the 12x12 Stroke of Midnight print, more fun die cuts, and photo mats for my pictures.

On this page, I created a flippie using the spider journaling card. It has space for a photo inside, and one on the vibrant striped mat underneath. Aren't the colors in this Monster Madness collection fang-tastic? 😉 

It wouldn't be Halloween without a few ghosts, so I added this cute die cut with it's candelabra. And to light his way ... I added a few mini jewels!  

I love a good pocket for extra storage in a mini album. Here, I used the colorful striped Eye See You paper and tucked a couple of journaling cards and die cuts inside. The die cuts are white on the back, so you can add notes to them as well.

Check out this 6x6 paper filled with colorful little monsters. I added the Family die cut from the Chit Chat and more sparkle with mini jewels. What a cute way to highlight your Halloween photos.

This purple blob cracks me up with his toothy grin, his happy lollipop, and his wagon full of goodies! To zhuzh it up just a bit, I added an enamel dot to the cupcake and mini jewels to his tires.

Whether you're a scrapbooker, a card maker, or just love creating with paper ... this Monster Madness Collection is so fun for the Halloween season. It's bright, whimsical, and filled with playful characters, pumpkins, ghosts, spiders, and all kinds of sweet treats!

MONSTER MADNESS SPOOKY LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna here today and if y’all know me, you know I LOVE Halloween! We get to work with the Monster Madness collection again and this one is one of my favorites! It has some of the cutest icons. Here’s my page:

To start, I went through the coordinating Solid Assortment cardstock and chose the purple one for my base. I wanted to have the white cardstock as the main foundation, but I also wanted a bit of pattern behind it. So I went ahead and matted the white cardstock with the 12x12 Halloween Night paper. It added that nice pop of black but also added in the colorful stars as well! I then chose three different papers from the 6x6 Paper Pad and layered them right on top of the white cardstock. 

Using the same 6x6 Paper Pad, I matted my photo with one of the black polka dot papers and then centered and adhered it right on top of my paper layers. I pulled out the Bits & Pieces pack and grabbed a few of the circular element die cuts. These make the best bases for embellishment clusters! I grouped a few together and adhered them around my photo. I also pulled in a few pumpkin die cuts from the Odds & Ends pack. The pumpkin bucket with the candy was the perfect addition because in my photo, my son was about to go off with is friends to trick or treat! 

Next, I chose a phrase from the Chit Chat pack and added some foam dots behind it. I placed it right under my photo and I just love how fun the font is!! It really helps make this page even more playful. 

I went through the Doodle-Pops in the collection and ended up choosing the adorable Boo To You ghost. I was also in need of that light blue in that corner, so it fit in just perfectly. The Puffy Icons stickers in this collection are probably one of my favorites because it has so many fun small icons! The little candies alone are so dang cute! I sprinkled a few around my page to help pull some of my embellishment clusters together. I love how they look!

For some finishing touches, I added in some stars from the Midnight Magic Shape Sprinkles pack and a couple phrase pieces from the Chit Chat pack. Here's one last look at this 'spooky' page!

MONSTER MADNESS POP UP CARD | with Kathy

Happy Halloween!  Have you been creating with the Monster Madness collection?  I just can't get enough of the adorable little monsters!  I made some more using the new Sweet Tooth and Party Animal Doodle Cuts sets, and decided to use them in a birthday pop up card... take a peek...

I just love these little guys... and the fun balloons, cupcakes and presents are too cute!

For my sentiment I pulled out my Doodle Cuts Happy Birthday Dies.  I cut the words and glued them together, then to the monsters to  make it look like they are holding the words like a banner.  The "from all of us" sentiment is from the Spooky Fun Cardstock.

I love how the pop up gives so much dimension to my little scene. And of course we can't forget the front of the card... I used one of the cut-aparts on the Spooky Fun double sided cardstock, and added a little balloon from the doodle cuts.

The pop up card was really easy to make.  I've put together a little tutorial below.

1.  I started by cutting my card base and an insert.  The base is 10"x7", folded in half.  The insert is 9.75" x 6.75" also folded in half.  I then glued the insert into the card base.

2.  Next I added my bottom pop out.  This pop out piece is 6" x 4".  I scored it at .5", 2" and 3.5".  I then added double sided tape to the two .5" tabs.  I centered the piece in my card base, making sure that the center score line was aligned with the card base fold.  I then took off the tape cover strip, and while holding the piece in place, folded the ends under and secured.

3.  This is what the card looks like when finished.

4.  I then added the second pop out piece.  This piece is 3.75" x 3".  I scored it at .5", 1.5" and 2.5". I opened up my card,  then aligned the center score line on this piece with the top of the first pop out piece.  I held it in place, removed the adhesive cover and tucked them under like I did with the previous piece.  

5.  This is what the card looks like when the two pop ups are done.

All that was left was to add all of my monsters, balloons, presents etc!

MONSTER MADNESS MINI ALBUM | with Traci

Hey everyone! Traci here and I have a really cute Halloween project to share with you today. It's a little scrapbook filled with bright colors, silly faces, and tons of amazing stickers. I love stickers! It's so much fun to make and ... it's the perfect place to save your holiday photos. Check it out ...

I started by using one of my black 8x8 square window acrylic albums and the fun Monster Madness Shadow Box kit. Have you had a chance to use one of these Insert Kits yet? All the Doodlebug collections have them and they are so much fun!! 

http://schema.org/Product">The kit comes with a circle template, card stock, vellum and tons of colorful stickers. This one has pumpkins, candy, worms, and such goofy monsters. You place the stickers on the vellum with the help of a template behind it and when you remove the template ... voila! Halloween cuteness!

 

Inside, I used almost every one of the 12x12 prints and added die cuts from the Odds & Ends, Chit Chat and Bits & Pieces. I also used the 12x12 sticker sheet and the tiny enamel shape sprinkles!! My favorite part.😉

 

Above, I chose the gorgeous purple colored print for the background and a journaling card from the Stroke of Midnight paper for notes. Isn't the rainbow plaid around the edge so pretty?!

 

Ok my friends ... is there any wonder why I love the enamel shape sprinkles so much?! Look how fabulous and cute and shiny and fun they are!! 

 

On this page, I cut out 3 tags from the Tricky Treat 12x12 paper and added some chunky twine in Beetle Black. I think they look so interesting lined up like this and they're perfect against the pretty polka dots.

 

This rainbow stripe (called Spooky Fun) looks great with the super cool purple car. And check out the enamel dots on the tires! The die cut is from the Odds & Ends which, by the way has 146 cute pieces to choose from.

I've added a pocket filled with journaling cards so you can write about your fun moments, things that scared you, parties you attended, and all the great friends you did it with. You can also add tickets, greeting cards, or extra photos. Do you see the extra enamel stars I added?

 

Above is one of my fold-out pages. The right side with the circles opens up. It's decorated with pieces from the Chit Chat and more stars from the shape sprinkles called Midnight Magic.

I love this Monster Madness Collection. It's so fun to play with. Literally, with colors and shapes this cute ... it's feels like playing!
