HEY PUMPKIN OCTOBER 31ST LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Halloween is nearly here so if you're looking for a playful, vibrant, and totally adorable way to document your October 31st memories, this layout is pure magic! Using the Hey Pumpkin collection and a coordinating Doodlebug cut file from Lori Whitlock, this page captures the whimsy and wonder of Halloween with a perfect blend of color, texture, and personality!

The Hey Pumpkin collection is a Halloween lover’s dream. Packed with candy-colored patterns, cheerful characters, and just the right amount of spooky charm, it’s ideal for scrapping those costume moments and trick-or-treat adventures. I chose the Hey Pumpkin Spider Web cut file from Lori Whitlock and cut the web part from the 'B' side of the Jolly 'Jack-O-Lantern' patterned paper. I then adhered the web to the 'B' side of the 'Eek' patterned paper.

The spiders from the cut file I enlarged in the Silhouette software before I cut out them from one of the papers in 6' x 6' paper pad. I used foam tape to adhere them on to the web. I added small enamel dots for the eyes of the spiders. The photo takes centre stage, it is matted with coordinating papers and layered on top of the web design, making it feel like part of the scene. The layout balances visual interest with emotional storytelling—exactly what scrapbooking is all about.

The title 'October' is from the Chit Chat pack as are some of the smaller sub titles. I added black enamel dots to he eyes of the ghost and also added Shape Sprinkles over the spider in the title and the star die-cuts.

A few pieces from the Bits and Pieces pack were added including the arrow under the photo and the yellow tab on the left of the photo. A few sprinkles of black mist and the date stamped finish off my layout.

I hope you have been inspired to document your Halloween memories this season using the gorgeous Hey Pumpkin collection! Happy Halloween and happy crafting!

HEY PUMPKIN MINIS | with Niella

Hey pumpkins, ghoul-friends, witchy boos and ghosties! Halloween is upon us! Are y'all ready for all the fun, candy bowls, decoration prep and spooky sweet costumes?! I bet you are! Eek, so exciting right! What better way than to document every tidbit. photo op and memory! So much so that I have created these Hey Pumpkin cutie-pie 3.5 x 5" mini albums for this very occasion! Boo-tiful! There's a video flip through at the end of this post to get your fangs into of both mini albums even though I only photographed one below to keep it simple...call it a surprise!

To begin, I used a thick 3.5 x 5" piece of chipboard and covered it with a patterned paper.  That creates the foundation.  Next, from the patterned papers I picked out nine different pages and cut them down so that one page is either bigger or smaller than the first. The cover is made from the Homespun acetate and I've decorated the outside of it.  Spook-tacular!

I'm not kidding when I tell you that my fave part of any of my mini albums is the decorating! There is endless possibilities when it comes to deciding what to have on each page. Remember you can create pages and they can be covered with photos as well or adhere one edge of the photo to the base and you've created a flip feature. I like to use the decorated pages for quotes or funny tidbits to record on or just dates and a fun memory.

A good tip is to decorate all your pages first, that way you can sew, paint or embellish each page freely.  Then when you're ready to bind, you simply pile them and then sort the size if that's what you're after.  When you punch the disc slots, make sure you're punching the middle of the page, so when the pages are compiled, they all turn and match as you like :-)

Thank you again for visiting crafty crew! I hope you've found inspiration today! Please remember to tag us in our your Socials when you create with Doodlebug so we can all admire your creativity! We love seeing your creations. Until next time; doodle BOO!

HEY PUMPKIN GHOULFRIENDS LAYOUT | with Nathalie

We are getting closer and closer to all things spooky and  fun!  So, today, I am going to share how I am using the colorful and beautiful Hey Pumpkin collection to create  a scrapbook layout that will hold my Goddaughters' photos for this year.  Let's take a look at the project:

I love graphic designs with straight and  repeating elements.  I played with them for this spread, and loved the weaved effect on the page.

I started by cutting strips from the Hey Pumpkin paper, then weaved them on top  of the Eek! paper. Once I secured them, I trim the paper to 11x11 and framed it with the Moonlight Magic paper.  The placement of the lines creates the perfect spot for everything else.

I am using papers from the 6x6 paper pad to frame the photos, and then added them to the top left corner of the layout.   The photos are on a slight angle so that they pop from the straight lines of the background.

I kept my embellishments subtle and added pieces from This & That , Odds & Ends to the corners of the photos.  There is so much already on the page that  works better to keep it simple this time.

To finish the page, I mixed Chit Chat with a few stickers at the bottom right corner of the page.  This helps balance the page as well as help with the design in the weaved paper strips.  A few sprinkles to add pops of color completes the spread. I love how this turned  out, and I am ready to just add the photos come November 1st.  Be sure to take the pictures and then document them with the fun Hey Pumpkin collection. XO

HEY PUMPKIN HELLO BOO-TIFUL FRIENDS ALBUM | with Conny

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Conny here from The Daily Life of Creativity, and today I’m sharing a boo-tiful Halloween mini album featuring the Hey Pumpkin Collection! This little album is filled with fun flip pages, pockets, and adorable embellishments, perfect for documenting your October memories, trick-or-treat photos, and all the sweet moments of the season.

To get started, cut: (2) pieces of chipboard measuring 5” x 6” for the covers and (1) piece measuring 1” x 5” for the spine.  Next, from patterned  from the Hey Pumpkin and Sprinkling Fun papers, cut (2) pieces at 6 ½” x 7 ½”.

Center your chipboard pieces on the back side of each patterned paper, leaving an even border all around. Miter the corners and wrap the chipboard with your favorite adhesive.

For the spine, cut another piece from Hey Pumpkin measuring 5” x 7”. Center the spine piece, adhere the top and bottom flaps first, and then attach both covers making sure to leave a ½” gap from the top and bottom edges for easy folding.

For inside the album, For matting the covers inside the album, you will need,  peek- a - boo and Moonlight Magic 5 3/4" and 4 3/4". I used pre-made card bases and envelopes to build the pages and pockets. The orange and black cards were adhered to the covers, and the envelopes were attached along the spine to create interactive layers and additional photo pockets.

Each page was decorated with a mix of Doodle-Pops, Chit Chat die cuts, and Odds & Ends. To add dimension, I used foam adhesive on some of the larger clusters. This gives the pages that layered, pop-up look I love so much!

The cover was finished with that adorable “Hello Boo-tiful Friends” title, cute ghosts, pumpkins, and a big striped ribbon tied on the side.

Inside, I added phrases like “Trunk or Treat,” “That’s the Halloween Spirit,” and “Sweet” to coordinate with each theme.

Some pages feature flip cards to hold multiple photos, while others include small interactive pockets perfect for tucking in journaling tags or memorabilia from candy wrappers.

Tip: This project is great for using up leftover Halloween paper scraps or embellishments and it makes a sweet gift for friends who love handmade albums!  Have a great day!

HEY PUMPKIN FUN HOUSE MINI ALBUM | with Traci

Hey crafty friends! Traci here and it's time for a new holiday project. Today, I'm sharing my Halloween Fun House Shaped Mini Album that I created with the super colorful Hey Pumpkin Collection. It's a perfect little scrapbook for memories of trick-or-treating, costumes, parties, and spooktacular Halloween shenanigans! 👻

Halloween Fun House Shaped Scrapbook Album with a cute witch, pumpkins, ghosts, flowers, a black cat, stars, and polka dots

Ohhhh my goodness, look how cute! Isn't it fun to create things with Doodlebug's bright happy collections? I thought these amazing colors would really pop against a dark background so, I chose my black Acrylic House Shaped Album as the base. But, you could use card stock instead.

On the cover, I added the little witch with her cute glasses, the flying ghosts, and that teeny tiny frog. It's all so adorable! But my favorite might be the sweet black cat and pumpkin Doodle-pops called Pumpkin Patch! 🧡

Halloween House Shaped Scrapbook Album Page with pumpkins, ghosts, flowers, a black cat, and polka dots

Inside, there are 12 scrapbook pages that vary in shape and size so I covered them in fun mix of 12x12 and 6x6 pattern papers. Then, I embellished with die cuts from the Odds & Ends and stickers from the This & That sheet. Isn't the page above perfect for photos of pumpkin pickin'?

Halloween Scrapbook Album Page with a folding card, a cute witch, a cauldron, a tiny frog, and stars

I love using Doodlebug's cute cards to create flippies and pockets for extra photo storage. Here, I made BOTH using a single 3x4 card from the Pumpkin Patch Plaid paper. It has space inside for 2 photos, and a pocket on the side. I added a white mat with a gingham This & That tab sticker and the "October 31" cut-apart words.

Halloween House Shaped Scrapbook Album Page with a folding card, candy, pumpkins, ghosts, melting candles, a black cat, and a scalloped journaling card

On this page, I chose the Hey Pumpkin paper for the background. I loved all the little images of ghosts, cats, candy, and bats. Then, I used one of the 4x4 cards to create another flippie and a scalloped This & That sticker to create a journaling spot.

Check out this colorful pocket page. The Plaid It's Halloween paper in the background is gorgeous. I made the pocket with the bubblegum Boo-tiful Bouquet paper, added the scalloped This & That sticker to the top, then decorated with the adorable truck die cut. Inside, more cards for journaling or to use as photo mats.

How fun are all the little ghosts on this Peek-A-Boo paper? The lighter colors made a great backdrop for this bright and colorful die cut. I love the kitty cat sitting amidst all the flowers in the pumpkin!

No matter what kind of paper crafting you love, this Hey Pumpkin Collection should be in your stash. Just look at these fun images, playful patterns, and boo-tiful colors! They're perfect for ANY holiday project.

HEY PUMPKIN GHOUL FRIENDS LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna here today and I'll be sharing another fun Halloween layout using the Hey Pumpkin collection.  This collection is so fun and I've always loved the witch embellishments in it! I decided to document a cute photo of me and my friend Jessie at our work Halloween party back in 2017! I can't believe how long it's been. I thought the witches would be the perfect embellishments on this page:

To start, I went through the patterned papers and chose the B side of the Boo-tiful Bouquet paper. I then took the the Lily White cardstock from the Solid Assortment pack and use that as my actual foundation page. I really wanted to pull a lot of patterned paper into this layout, so having the white as my foundation, would help keep it toned down a bit! I trimmed it down to an 11x11 and then added 1x12 strips of the B side of the Halloween Haul paper to the left and right sides.

I  trimmed down the Moonlight Magic and Hey Pumpkin papers and stacked them together in the center of my page. It's a lot of pattern, but they all work together and I love how it turned out!

Next, I went through the Odds & Ends pack and pulled out some of the adorable witches. I arranged them around my page and popped two up on foam tape for some dimension and interest. Since this was a girly page, the witches were perfect.

For my title, I kept on with the girl theme and chose the 'ghoul friends' pieces from the Chit Chat pack. I thought it was such a cute title and I love the font. It really pops off of the page! I pulled in a few more phrase pieces from the Chit Chat pack and included them around my page.

For some finishing touches, I pulled out both the Icons and the This and That sticker sheets and sprinkled in a few pumpkins, candies and the adorable stars.  This turned out to be such a fun, playful page and I love it!

Here's one last look:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope I've inspired you in some way. I'll see you in my next post friends!

SWEET & SPOOKY BOO LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Halloween is always one of my favorite times to scrapbook — the costumes, the candy, and all the spooky-cute vibes! Today I’m sharing a layout that captures all of that fun using the Sweet & Spooky collection!

For this page, I wanted the title to make a big statement, so I went bold with large 'Boo' titles in a cut file repeated across the page together with a spider web. The cut file was cut from black cardstock and each 'Boo' word is backed with different patterned papers from the Sweet & Spooky 6x6 paper pad — I just love how the mix of stripes, dots, and subtle prints add personality to each 'Boo'!

Some of my favorites include the soft purple stripes and the cute polka dots filled with Doodlebug’s signature colors.

To give each letter its own “spooky friend,” I added die-cuts from the Sweet & Spooky Odds & Ends and Bits & Pieces packs — including ghosts, pumpkins, and even a worm! I also added puffy stickers, This & That stickers and also some gorgeous Doodle-Pops too. These playful touches really bring the layout to life.

The photo is from a past  Halloween night — my little ones dressed up in costume, ready for trick-or-treating! I printed it slightly smaller to allow plenty of room for embellishments and let the title shine.

I grounded the photo with a small cluster that includes a 'Halloween' banner, a cute gumball jar sticker, and a sprinkle of mini pumpkins from the Shape Sprinkles set. Every little detail ties into the sweet and spooky theme.

To finish the layout, I added a few enamel dots around the page, a 'So Much Fun' sentiment, and stamped the date below the photo. A simple hand drawn black border helps everything feel complete and keeps the focus on the bright, happy colors.

This layout makes me smile every time I look at it — it perfectly captures the fun of Halloween with that signature Doodlebug charm! Happy Halloween crafting!
