HEY PUMPKIN OCTOBER 31ST LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Halloween is nearly here so if you're looking for a playful, vibrant, and totally adorable way to document your October 31st memories, this layout is pure magic! Using the Hey Pumpkin collection and a coordinating Doodlebug cut file from Lori Whitlock, this page captures the whimsy and wonder of Halloween with a perfect blend of color, texture, and personality!

The Hey Pumpkin collection is a Halloween lover’s dream. Packed with candy-colored patterns, cheerful characters, and just the right amount of spooky charm, it’s ideal for scrapping those costume moments and trick-or-treat adventures. I chose the Hey Pumpkin Spider Web cut file from Lori Whitlock and cut the web part from the 'B' side of the Jolly 'Jack-O-Lantern' patterned paper. I then adhered the web to the 'B' side of the 'Eek' patterned paper.

The spiders from the cut file I enlarged in the Silhouette software before I cut out them from one of the papers in 6' x 6' paper pad. I used foam tape to adhere them on to the web. I added small enamel dots for the eyes of the spiders. The photo takes centre stage, it is matted with coordinating papers and layered on top of the web design, making it feel like part of the scene. The layout balances visual interest with emotional storytelling—exactly what scrapbooking is all about.

The title 'October' is from the Chit Chat pack as are some of the smaller sub titles. I added black enamel dots to he eyes of the ghost and also added Shape Sprinkles over the spider in the title and the star die-cuts.

A few pieces from the Bits and Pieces pack were added including the arrow under the photo and the yellow tab on the left of the photo. A few sprinkles of black mist and the date stamped finish off my layout.

I hope you have been inspired to document your Halloween memories this season using the gorgeous Hey Pumpkin collection! Happy Halloween and happy crafting!

HEY PUMPKIN GHOST WALL HANGER | with Jen

The Hey Pumpkin Collection has some of the cutest little icons! I have many favorites in this collection and it was hard to choose but I decided to make a little door hanger with the Hey Pumpkin - Boo Ghost! I used the SVG file available in the Lori Whitlock SVG shop to make this cute little decor piece. The little glasses on this guy are just the cutest!

First I cut three layers of black chipboard for my base using my Cricut.

I added small holes to each arm to thread my chunky twin through for a hanger. I tied it on the back side so that the body of the ghost hides it on the front.

Next I layered the pieces of my ghost. I used a grey base layer and then a white layer. There's also a small black oval that goes behind his eyes and little smile.

Next up, the glasses and banner. I cut the banner pieces from the 6x6 paper pad. I used foam tape to pop up the glasses. I also used foam tape to pop up the layers of the front of the BOO banner and then another layer behind.

And it's the perfect addition to my craft room for the spooky season!

Have a great day!

HEY PUMPKIN KITTY BOX CARDS | with Kathy

My favorite icon in the Hey Pumpkin Collection is of course the adorable black cat!  He looks just like my boy Jax!  So, when I saw the adorable Hey Pumpkin SVG files, I decided to create a couple of box cards featuring that sweet kitty!  Take a peek...

I started with the Hey Pumpkin October Garden Kitty 2 SVG.  The little kitty popping up from behind the pumpkin made me smile!  I cut the pieces from the Hey Pumpkin Coordinating Textured Cardstock and added some Bits & Pieces and Puffy Icons for the florals.  I love that the coordinating cardstock packs have the perfect colors!

I added the hello speech bubble from the Chit Chat pieces using a piece of heavyweight acetate so it looks like it's floating.

My next card features the Hey Pumpkin Pumpkin Kitty SVG.  The little fella in the pumpkin candy pail was too cute to resist!

I added some candy pieces from the Odds & Ends Pack and candy corn from the Puffy Icons.  The sentiment speech bubble is from the Chit Chat pieces.

I created a tutorial a few years ago showing how I convert flat cut files to 3D cards.  You can find that here on the Doodlebug blog. It will give you a general idea on how to create your own box cards featuring Doodlebug's cut files!  That's it for me today, I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!

HEY PUMPKIN WITCH CANDY HOLDER | with Jen

I have been obsessed with the witches in the new Hey Pumpkin collection! They are just the cutest but the little witch at her cauldron has to be my favorite.

I used the adorable Hey Pumpkin Witches Brew SVG file and my Cricut to make a cute little candy dish. I cut the file as-is,  sized up to 11" tall. I cut the base layer from medium weight chipboard four times and then stacked and glued them together.

I added 1/4" strips of black cardstock around the edge to hide the chipboard, but you could also paint it. I cut an extra frog and an extra cauldron. I used the Hey Pumpkin coordinating cardstock to cut all the layers. You could use petite prints for some layers as well.

For the treat bowl area I cut a piece of black cardstock to 8 1/2" x 10 1/2". Starting with the 8 1/2" side at the top of my score board, I scored it at 3 1/4" and 5 1/4". I then turned it a quarter turn to the 10 1/2" side and scored at 3 1/4" and 7 1/4".

I then cut along my 3 1/4" and 5 1/4" score lines up to the middle score lines (see below).

Fold sides up and in and adhere so that they are hidden behind the cauldron (you may need to trim the top after adhering).

To decorate the front of the cauldron I use some Chit Chat and the Trick or Treat Shape Sprinkles.

Have a great day!
