FARMERS MARKET MONOCHROMATIC CARDS | with Niella

Hi crafty friends, I'm so happy to see you pop into today! I hope you're having a great start to a new month and season! It's a perfect time for visit us on the blog with more inspiration, more crafting and more ideas! And with that, I'd like to show you my next cutie-ful project with the Farmers Market collection! Greeting cards! How cute would these be to gift for Thanksgiving or any occasion. Be sure to stay tuned for my video.  Yay!

Did you know greeting cards were my first crafty love! I used to make them to sell many moons again.  I now enjoy making them to gift, which makes my heart sing and I need to set more time aside for more.  These adorable cards where so fun to put together.  I love the monochromic theme with fruit and vege's! Do you have a favorite?

Look how cute they look at bunched (pun intended) together! It is so hard to choose a favorite! I mean how sweet is are the yummy grapes, that darling potato, the sweet apples and the delish carrot.  They will make any recipient happy! Hi there, adorable cauliflower! Why hello there baby radish! So stinkin' cute! And those tiny mushrooms!

I used the envelopes from the card set that comes with the Farmer's Market collection and have simply sized up some white cardstock and folded in half to fit each of the envelopes.  Then using the matching shades of Buffalo Check-Woodgrain from the Petite Prints papers, I layered on a matching mini doily to create a foundation and then decorated the top with a ray of fruit and vege from the ephemera pack!

Not only would these be great to gift, but how about framing these for decor.  You could even have these made up and gifted at Thanksgiving! So many fun ideas.  What would you suggest?  How about creating a whole bunch, individually popping in a cellophane bag and selling them! At a Farmer's Market, so cute!

Thank you again for visiting crafty crew! I hope you've found inspiration today! Please remember to tag us in our your Socials when you create with Doodlebug so we can all admire your creativity! We love seeing your creations. Until next time; doodle dee!

FARMERS MARKET TRUCK BOX CARD | with Kathy

I will miss summertime, but I really believe that Fall is the best season!  The colors, the cooler temps, the apple cider donuts.... it is my favorite time of year!  And Farmers Market is one of my all time favorite collections!  I decided I wanted to play with the So Thankful Doodle Cuts and turn them into a 3D box card.   Take a peek...

How cute is that little truck??  I pieced the truck "sides" together using papers from the 6x6 pad, the coordinating textured cardstock pack and some petite prints.  I created a second, mirror image of the truck side by cutting the die pieces from the opposite side of my patterned papers.  I added some Fall assortment sprinkles to my tires for a little dimension and shine.

To attach the sides of my truck together to form my box, I cut two pieces of paper, each 1 1/4" w x 3/4"h.  (one from the bon bon cardstock, one from the orange plaid paper from the 6x6 pad)  I scored each paper at 1/8" and 1 1/8" along the long side.  I glued the tabs to each end of the truck, approximately 3 1/16" apart. (see below).  I then added the other side of the truck to complete my "box."

To add my puppy and veggies to the inside of the truck, I created an insert strip using our heavyweight clear acetate.  It measured 3 9/16" w x 3/4"h.  I scored each end 1/4" in, and glued it to my front and back truck sides, centered inside the box.  I added  stickers from the Farmers Market and Veggie Garden Puffy stickers to create my little "scene." Here are some close ups...

A hint when working with stickers... I use a powder tool to "de-stick" my stickers first.  I add adhesive where needed and insert them into my card.  This prevents the card from sticking together when folding into an envelope.  I finished my card by hand cutting a little speech bubble, and stamping the HELLO sentiment from the It's Fall Y'all Doodle Stamps.

If you're using Farmers Market to scrap your fall memories, be sure to tag @doodlebugdesign on socials.  We love to see your creations.  That's it for me, thanks for stopping by to peek!

FARMHOUSE HOMESPUN CARDS | with Tya

Step into the charm of country living with my latest handmade cards! Using the adorable Farmhouse collection and the coordinating Cards and Envelopes Kit, I've created six unique cards that capture all the warmth and whimsy of this delightful new collection!

Let's look at each of the cards! This first card is a burst of autumn charm, featuring bright pops of color that Doodlebug is famous for! The centerpiece is the sweet fruit stand from the Odds and Ends, brimming with seasonal delights! The little fox watches over the stand adding more whimsy The card comes to life with dimensional details like the pumpkin and flowers from the Puffy Stickers.

My next card is a delightful nod to country kitchen charm.  The star of the design is the adorable buffalo check apron, from the Odds and Ends, It adds a cozy, homespun vibe. I paired it with the "I only have Pies for You" sentiment from the Chit Chat pack.  Such a sweet card!

My third card is a heartfelt tribute to country living, featuring the irresistible black and white cow from the Odds and Ends die cuts. It's perfect for any cow lover like me out there! The little cow is complimented by a lovely tag showcasing a farm windmill and charming milk can overflowing with vibrant flowers! The "thankful for you" sentiment along the bottom adds a meaningful touch.

My next card is a cheerful birthday card. It is a celebration of color and joy, perfect for making someone's special day even brighter! The standout features on this card are the vibrant pattern papers from the collection - I especially love the Country Quilt plaid paper on the base of the card! The adorable bees from the Busy Bees Doodle Pop steal the show, bringing a delightful buzz of whimsy to the card. A few Puffy Stickers add texture and detail, while the beautiful "Happy Birthday" banner from the Chit Chat set ties everything together.

This next card is a charming snapshot of farm life, brought to life with a delightful scene made from the Odds and Ends ephemera. This design evokes the feeling of a bright, happy day on the farm! The "Hay There" sentiment on the top perfectly complements the farmhouse vibe, adding a playful and welcoming touch. It's a sweet card, full of country charm!

For my final card, I used the slim-shaped card from the Cards and Envelopes kit.  At its heart is the adorable farm truck filled to the brim with cute pumpkins, stealing the spotlight in the design. No farm is complete without some feathered friends, so the cheerful chickens from the Icon Sticker sheet join the scene. The heartfelt "Life is better on the Farm" sentiment couldn't be more fitting, making this card an ode to country living!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope these projects have sparked your creativity and inspired you to pick up the Farmhouse collection to craft your own sweet and homespun cards. There's nothing quite like sharing a bit of farmhouse charm with the special people in your life, so let's keep spreading those warm, country vibes one handmade card at a time! Happy Crafting!

FARMHOUSE THANK YOU CARDS | with Karen

Last week, I got to share my love of card making and my love of all things Doodlebug with my colleagues at work. I grabbed Doodlebug goodies and hosted a morning of gratitude card creation in this beautiful retreat centre that was once a convent. It was everything you might imagine - quiet and peaceful and comforting. And Doodlebug's new Farmhouse collection was the perfect collection to use!

All-3-1

It is no secret that I love bright and bold colours. Hand me a stack of jewel toned paper and I am crafty heaven. But this collection speaks to me in a different way - the colours are like a breath of fresh air and I absolutely love it. In fact, I think I need to redecorate my home to match it!

But for now, I settled for making this set of cards with my colleagues - using combination of the 12x12 papers with the 6x6 papers to mix and match some of the patterned paper at different scales.

  Closeup-1

The Bits and Pieces and Odds and Ends die cuts make the perfect layering pieces to coordinate with the sentiments that I chose. A few mini jewels added a bit of sparkle.

Closeup-2

And the chicken? Well the chicken was the icon I chose that made me think of one of my daughters - the inspiration for one of the the three gratitude cards. Does a chicken make sense on a thank-you card? I'm not sure. But somehow, I am also certain that it does! And the Hen & Chicks paper may now be one of my favourite Doodlebug prints ever!

All-3-2

Sharing this collection and all the goodies with my colleagues brought me so much joy. Watching them create and seeing the pride in their faces as they shared the special people they were creating for was wonderful - husbands for wives, a mom in another province, a son...it was joyful. Crafting is special and this collection makes is easy and beautiful. Thank-you Doodlebug for sharing your gift with us so we can share it with others! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

FARMERS MARKET MONOCROMATIC CARDS | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! We're in the last days of August already! Hasn't this year gone so fast! A new season is just around the corner! I am so happy to be bringing you some fresh produce from Farmers Market Collection today. Monochromatic greeting cards in raspy red, yippee yellow, gorge green and pretty purple tones, so sweet + savory! And there's a video showcasing each card and it's core at the end of this blog post - double win!

First, I started with the coordinating  card and envelope pack in this collection. I adore the colors and matching envelopes. These card packs are all matched to the Farmers Market collection and are super handy! I picked 4 from the 6 choices. Then, I reached into my Doodlebug stash and whipped out the Buffalo Check/Woodgrain Petite Prints in Cherry, Limeade, Orchid and Bumblebee to cut the front panel.

Next, using the Odd's & End's Vege Garden ephemera pack, I've handpicked several adorable fruits and vegetables we all love to cook with and eat! How cute is are the onions and the peppers! And that super cute radish? Deliciously cute!

I used foam dots and squares to pop the ephemera pieces from the card to give dimension! I love decorating in clusters and love adding in word sentiments and captions. Delightful! Lastly, I've decorated the front with Sprinkles - plain and glitter and Puffy Sprinkle Hearts. It gives each card that extra pizzaz! And as always, I use the doodlebug design logo on a couple of cards. I love that little touch of brand on my projects!

Which is your favorite? Aren't they super darling all together like one big happy family! You're sure to love making these! How about a fresh basket full of fruit and veggies and a card to gift? Even have some made up and if you sell produce at your local farmers market, you could have a whole bunch of cards to sell as well. That's fruit-ful and super fun, right!

BONUS: Let's watch the video to see the core of the cards!

Thanks a bunch crafty crew for visiting today! I hope I gave you a crafty hit of inspiration! Don't forget to tag us in on your socials - we're looking forward to seeing your next Doodlebug Design project! Until next time; doodle doo!

FARMERS MARKET BOX CARDS | with Kathy

I hope all of our followers had a wonderful Thanksgiving break!  Personally, I ate too much and spent too much on my holiday shopping, but it was wonderful to have family home!  I also got some time in the craft room to play some more with the Farmers Market Collection.  I was picking through the adorable Odds & Ends and found the cutest little paper bag full of veggies, and I thought it would make a cute 3D Box Card.  I came up with two different versions... take a peek...

For my first card, I used the floral pieces from the Bits & Pieces pack to fill my bag.  For the base of my card, I altered this file from Lori Whitlock.  I added handles and my own inserts, and lots and lots of flowers!  I layered many and added some foam dots for more dimension.

To finish it, I added a Chit Chat sentiment and some of the Honey Bees and Fall Flowers Shaped Sprinkles.

My next card was made to resemble the cute paper bag of veggies from the Odds & Ends pack.  I used the same base file for the bag, and then chose the cutest of the veggies to add to my card.

To complete, I added the Hello sign from the Chit Chat pieces.  How fun are those little smiles?

That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

FARMERS MARKET BITS AND PIECES CARDS | with Karen

A couple of weeks ago, I created a fun set of birthday cards with the new Farmers Market collection, focusing on the floral die cuts that coordinate with this collection. While I love the way those cards turned out, I don't always have the time to cut and put together all the pieces of the die cuts. So I thought I would see if I could create a similar look - this time with the Farmers Market Bits and Pieces.

All-three-2

Voila! Given that Thanksgiving in the US is around the corner, I decided to create thank-you cards for this set.

Closeup

Just like with the flowers I cut out on the last set, I worked on layering the pieces and used foam adhesive to add some depth and dimension to the cards. I finished each one off with some Mini Jewels for a bit of sparkle.

All-three-1

I really love the way that these cards turned out as well, and I do have to say that they were significantly faster to complete! So, if time is a bit of crunch, let Doodlebug do some of the work for you and use the Bits and Pieces to get all the fun layers and designs you want on your cards! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

FARMERS MARKET CARD TRIO | with Wanda

Hey hey hey! It's Wanda here, once again, using the fabulous Farmers Market Collection! Yippeeeeeee! Hey, guess what? I made some non-holiday cards! I thought it was time we could use some more birthday cards and just because cards, and this fun collection is perfect for it!! Today, I'm sharing a trio of fun and cheerful cards that I hope will make you smile!

All three cards are white A2 sized card bases. I used the awesome 12x12 text patterned paper as the background for all three cards also. I do love a good text pattern.... So I have two birthday cards and one just because card. Each card features a Doodle Pop as the focus, some mini doilies, and lots of color! Here is my trio....

20

Look at these delicious Doodle Pops!!! Three layers, four layers...oh my! These are just the happiest things ever!

20

I used basically the same card design/layout for each card. Either a stitched circle or a stitched rectangle, offset on the card... Then all the embellishments and doilies. Oh, and some paint splashes too. I really just went to town mixing and matching all these colors. Everything is from the same collection - Farmers Market.

20

20

The little Beehive Doodle Pop is a shaker! Bzzzzz. I added a couple of flowers and a heart to that sweet little hive. Oh, and some buzzin' bees too.

20

I used some Chit Chat sentiments along the bottom of each card and that just ups the cuteness factor. Everything is done for you! These cards come together easily and the combinations of elements is endless!

20

I will see you again right here soon! Until then, happy crafting!

FARMERS MARKET LAYERED WREATH CARD | with Wanda

Hi friends! Wanda here with a fun fall card made with the beautiful new Farmers Market Collection! OH, I love this collection! Such a fun mix of images and themes from flowers to vegetables and everything in between. It's just absolutely delightful! And I am loving all those warm colors, but with a pop of purple and magenta. I loved it from the moment it hit my desk! Perfect for Fall, but also I'll be using the veggie/market theme next Summer too!

My card today is a big square - 5.5" x 5.5" made from kraft cardstock. I got this idea from lots of beautiful scrapbook pages people make with this type of layout. Since I don't really scrapbook, I made a smaller version into a card. I die cut tons of leaves from both the Hello Fall Doodle Cuts and the Nesting Scallops Doodle Cuts. I used several different patterns of the 6x6 Farmers Market paper pad...

A

For the sentiment I used that big bold hello in dark brown woodgrain paper. I added the "fall" tag and a bit of Bon Bon Doodle twine.

B

I layered one layer of the magenta/red polka dot paper and distressed the edges of it. Then a white stitched layer to be my base for my wreath. Once I had all the leaved die cut out I arranged them all the way I wanted them and used foam squares to affix them to the card.

C

Up in the corner I added another small sentiment strip and some of the new Fall collection mini hearts. I splattered on pink and white ink splatters for that artsy feel.

D

That's it for me for today! Happy November everyone! I love November - you can celebrate Fall, Thanksgiving or Christmas!! No matter what, just enjoy the season. I'll see you soon. Happy Crafting!
