HEY PUMPKIN SLIDER CARD TUTORIAL | with Kathy

It's fall, and you know what that means??  A Doodlebug Halloween Collection!!  The Hey Pumpkin collection is so spooky-cute, I couldn't wait to play!  Of course I immediately thought of an interactive card... take a peek...

I started with one of the cute houses from the Odds & Ends Pack.  I wanted to make it into a slider.  The tab is one of the new tab stickers you can find on the This & That Sticker Sheet.

And when you pull the tab, you get lots of fun things!  A ghost pops up from the top of the house, the little spider drops down from his perch and you get a spooky sentiment.  The ghost is from the Odds & Ends, the spider from the Puffy Icon stickers and the sentiment is from the This & That Sticker sheet.

I love how the little spider drops down!  It's a fun surprise.

The ghost is so sweet, I also added a cloud from the mini icon stickers and the Sprinkle Moon is from the Halloween Night Shape Sprinkles.

Of course I had to add the super cute black kitty in a pumpkin...he's from the Mini Icon Stickers.  I also added some candy corn sprinkles from the Sweet Treats Shape Sprinkles.

Here is a video short of my card in action

And if you want to make your own... I have a full video tutorial here.

If you make one, make sure to tag me and Doodlebug on socials!  We'd love to see it!  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

AT THE ZOO EXPLOSION POP OUT CARDS | with Karen

No one does cute like Doodlebug Design. Yup. I said it. And I stand behind it. Doodlebug characters are the best in the best in the business. And every time I pull out my Doodlebug products, I smile. Every time. At the Zoo is a collection that is ALL about the characters. So for today's project, I wanted to make them the star of the show.

All-3-initial

I decided to make a set of explosion pop-out cards featuring some of the cute animals in this collection. It's been awhile since I made this style of fun fold card...too long! They really are fun. If you've never made one, do quick search for tutorials and you will find exactly what you need to make some of your own.

Components

These ones feature a little belly band that slides over top of the base of the card. Because of the pop-out feature, the band helps hold the card closed. AND it give you a chance to use some of the cute animals from the Odds and Ends pack right on the band to create some fun dimension.

Open-1

One the inside, I used some of the 6x6 paper to create the pop-out feature and then added some of the Mini Icon stickers to create a little scene at the top.

Open-2

A few of the leaves on the inside and some of the Matte Sprinkles (I LOVE these sprinkles) also added a little more dimension.

All-3-final

I did also add some of the leaves and flowers from the Seaside Summer Bit's and Pieces collection on each of the bands. I am huge fan of dimension and these pieces created a little background for my characters (you have to love how everything Doodlebug coordinates so you can mix and match when needed) to create the depth that I was looking for.

So, whether you are looking for a birthday, thank-you or baby shower card - this cute collection is sure to make you smile while you are creating them and make your recipient smile when they receive them! Doodlebug is the best!  Thanks for stopping by!

SWEET & SPOOKY DOODLE STAMPS DIORAMA CARD | with Kathy

I love an interactive card!  Especially when it is made with the Sweet & Spooky Collection!  For this card, I started with the Sweet & Spooky Doodle Stamps & Doodle Cuts. I colored all of the cute little icons using my Copic markers, then set to putting together my card!

The diorama card was created using dies from my stash.  This card folds flat, then... pull the tabs and a little scene pops up!

I just love the Moonlight Magic paper... the little stars are so colorful and fun!  To make my tree, I stamped onto acetate using archival ink.  It's such a fun way to make your own acetate pieces!  The sentiment is from the Chit Chat pieces.

Here's a little clip of the card in action!

Have you made any projects using the Sweet & Spooky Collection & Doodle Stamps?  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on socials, we love to see your projects!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

LOTS OF LOVE POP UP CARDS | with Kathy

I have always loved creating fun papercrafts for Valentine's Day!  The Lots of Love collection makes it even more fun!  The colors, the critters... all of it... absolutely adorable.  I decided to make a couple of cute interactive pop up cards to send to friends... take a peek...

For each of these cards I used the Blue XOXO side of the Lots of Love double sided cardstock as my background.  I love the subtle pattern, and it looks like the sky!  For my first card I created a fun scene with some Icon Stickers... the cute little mailbox and that mail snail... eek!  When you open the card the adorable little birdie pops up!  The sentiment is from the Chit Chat pieces.

My second card uses my favorite Icon Sticker in the collection, the little bear holding heart balloons.  When you open the card, he floats up from the clouds.  I decorated the background with some clouds from the Odds & Ends and heart sprinkles.  The sentiment was put together using some chit chat pieces.  I love how the "you" is hidden until you open the card!

Since it's much more fun to watch interactive cards in action, I've added a quick video to my YouTube Channel which shows how they work.

Be sure to stop by the blog  this week for more Lots of Love inspiration!  Also if you have created any projects using Doodlebug Lots of Love, be sure to tag us on social media!  We love to see what you create!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

LOVE NOTES INTERACTIVE TWIST & POP CARD | with Nathalie

Hello Doodlebug friends! Valentine's Day may be just a few days away but wedding anniversaries are year round so today I'm excited to share with you a card I created with the Love Notes collection for my parents' upcoming 54th anniversary!

The surprise is that it is a pop and twist card that I customized with their photo and a handwritten note:

I found a tutorial on YouTube which requires very minimal tools so anybody can make it: Twist & Pop Card Tutorial. Other than the cardstock, doily and Fancy Frills sticker on the cover, all the supplies are from the Love Notes collection.
I used 12x12 sheets for the inside and the outside of the card itself and papers from the 6x6 pad to decorate the accordion part. I pulled two die-cuts from the Odds & Ends pack: a blooming envelope for the cover and a heart garland that I put across the fold. All three sentiments come from the This & That sticker sheet. I also included two Doodle-pops as they add just a little dimension to the project without making it too bulky.

I hope this inspires you to create a heartfelt card for someone's anniversary (or your own!) with the Love Notes collection, it is perfect for it! Making it "pop" and customization are optional but highly recommended :)
