SNOW MUCH FUN HEART TREAT BOXES | with Karen

Hey Doodlebug fans! It's almost time for Valentine's Day, so I wanted to share a little project with you that you can use to show a little love!

One of the things I love doing around Valentine's day is playing with collections that can be used for the day even if they weren't designed that way. I know that Valentine's day is usually full of pink, red and white, but I have some special people in my life who would prefer blue or purple any day. So why not design for the day with your loved one's favourite colours?

Snow Much Fun is definitely a winter collection, but there are so many beautiful prints in this collection that are not snow-themed at all. Pull them out and you can craft with this collection any time of the year for any event that you might need! I used it to create these little treat containers that I made with the help of a Lori Whitlock cut file.

The base is Doodlebug textured cardstock from the coordinated pack. It is the perfect weight for the bases and the texture adds more interest and dimension.

Each section of the container is then decorated with some patterned paper.

I then embellished each one of the containers with patterned paper - All Bundled Up, Snow Much Fun and Snow Happy Together were the three pieces that I used.

Finally, I topped them off with a tag that I cut from the Freeze tag 12x12 paper and then embellished with a couple of hearts from the Puffy Icon Stickers. Each container was then filled up and tied up with some Chunky Doodle Twine in Lilac.

These containers are as sweet as the treats inside and I cannot wait to share them this week! Don't be afraid to share a little love with an unconventional collection - it might just set your gift apart from the rest! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!

SNOW MUCH FUN VALENTINES | with Kathy

Growing up, did you have Valentine's Day parties in school?  I always loved finding the perfect little cards to hand out to everyone in class!  My favorites were always the ones with the punny sayings.  I thought that the cute little critters from the Snow Much Fun Snow Cute Doodle Cuts would make fabulous little valentine notes, so I decided to put a few together.  Take a peek...

I started by piecing together the Snow Cute Doodle Cuts critters using some of the Snow Much Fun coordinating textured cardstock.  Next I printed the sentiments on some more of the textured cardstock.  Using my Word program, I printed on cardstock cut to be 4x6. (this was the smallest size I could print using my printer).  I then cut a stitched rectangle (2 1/4"x 3 1/2")  around the printed words using dies from my stash. I backed the printed rectangles with a larger stitched rectangle measuring 3" x 4 1/4".  I used papers from the 6x6 pad for this, I love the smaller print size!

I added my critters using some foam dots, and then completed each with some hearts from the I Love Snow Shape Sprinkles.

I had a cut file for an envelope which I sized to fit my cards, and cut from some coordinating petite prints.  The are all so fun, I'm not sure which is my favorite!  I love using my Doodlebug supplies for "off - theme" projects!  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - RECAP LOTS OF LOVE ALBUM | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! Can you believe it's March already and what better month to finally showcase my completed 6x8 mini album! It's all ready to be filled with my family Valentine's Day memories all month long from February 1st to the 28th! I've been hoarding all the memorabilia that are going to be documented! Yay. And that way, when we want to look back, we have all the memories in one album, an album of love. There's a full flip through video at the end, double yay :-)

Let's begin with a showcase of my favorite pages! I loved creating this cover! It has so much dimension and textural elements to it, true eye candy! And as it's Valentine's themed, nothing beats candy!

Lots of Love is my FAV Valentine's collection in the history of Valentine's collections! I could create with it all year long! Just look at those super cute characters and blushed cheeks. Hello cute teacup and adorbs tea bag that comes out.

Let's look at the next couple pages over; the shaker pockets! I love to take out this page and give it a good shake and the side tab means I can turn the page more easily!

The pocket pages are one of the best features in these mini albums I feel because you can use them to create little areas for your memory keeping like journaling spots, shakers, name cards and spaces to add photos too, so many ideas!

Thank you for popping by crafty crew! I hope you've found inspiration today! Please remember to tag us in our your Socials when you create with Doodlebug so we can all admire your creativity! We love seeing your creations. Until next time doodle doo!

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - PART 4 LOTS OF LOVE ALBUM | with Niella

How was your Valentines, Galentines or love day! Whether you celebrated or not, welcome to the cuteness! Today I'm showing you my third glance inside my 6x8 mini Cupcake album. If you missed my previous posts you can see my cover here and my page posts here and here.  Today,  it's time to take a look into my darling cute and love mini album using the ever gorgeous Valentine's collection, Lots of Love! And of course, I have a video at the end because there is nothing like seeing the pages flip :-)

As you know these mini albums with a colourful fabric lay-flat spine come with so many fun pages including pocket pages, chipboard tabbed dividers and coloured inserts! So much packed into these albums from the start!

This is one of my favourite pages! I love the four pocket page where I've filled one corner with polymer sprinkles and Shaker Balls and layered a cute cluster of ephemera on top! Look at the XOXO, I've created this with the Skinny Cardstock Alpha stickers, fits perfectly in that journaling ephemera piece. And we cannot miss that cute cherry couple. Hello sugar!

There's also room to create your own page insert! Here I've used a 12x12 paper to do so. Fold and then fold inwards again and it creates a hidden foldout page, perfect for secret love messages and a top secret cupcake frosting recipe! Check out the video for the opening of this page ;-)

Above I've decided this album needed some textures, so I added in bits and pieces of vellum to soften areas so elements were given a platform to shine! Look how sweet the vintage telephone looks with it's stitched details, super darling!

As a double treat, not only its there a video on my featured pages, but I've left the last pages for you to see in the video showcasing! Enjoy crafty friends xx

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - PART 3 LOTS OF LOVE ALBUM | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! I can smell the chocolate and candies from here as we lead up to one of my favorite days to celebrate; Valentines! I am so happy to show you my next set of pages in my Doodlebug Design Cupcake 6x8 mini album! Let's jump into each page and if you'd like to see it move and turn, check out my fun video at the end of the post :-)  If you missed my previous posts you can see my cover here and first pages here.

The so happy page is directly behind the last page I showed, it's the chipboard divider and is perfectly placed! That cupcake doily is super sweet and the adjoining pocket page was fun to fill! The papers I've used here are Love You Bunches! Those single flowers are so cute! The Happy Valentine's Day banner has my heart! Darling!

Next spread over is the back of the pocket page and then the envelope from the coordinating Cards & Envelope pack! It's perfect for hidden journaling or photos of your love! I love pulling the cutest ephemera pieces out and going golden on the decorating. It's my fave part!

Next over is the back of the envelope with the large XOXO ephemera piece. You can slip a cropped photo here or some poetry. How charming! The Cloud Nine paper is next level adorable don't you think. Check out those poppin' Valentines Day balloons! I wish all balloons came with an adorable face.

Second to last page today is the card that goes inside the previous envelope! I've adhered it to the back of another chipboard divider and this card opens up for more hidden elements. It has a sweet tab inside to easily open up for more space. I love adding extra space and memory keeping areas. It holds a nice surprise when you look back on your albums.

There is one more page left but I've left it in my video below to see!

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS LOTS OF LOVE ALBUM | with Niella

I Hope you've had a great start to 2025 crafty friends, it's the 2nd weekend of the year already and it's time to get some crafty time in! Yay! If you're after some new inspiration, you've come to the right place and to see the newest product from Doodlebug - 6x8 Albums! These are the perfect petite size to hold all your memory keeping, and as it's a new year, how about trying a new size! With 14 colors to choose from you'll have fun finding the right one for the right themed occasion. Let's jump straight into my album cover inspiration using the adorable Lots of Love collection! There's a fun video showcase at the end of my post as well :-) Super sweet!

The album color I've chosen here is the ever gorgeous Cupcake, it suits so many everyday occasions and celebration themes and I was so pleased how it all turned out! It's absolutely gorgeous with the Lots of Love collection. Full of love!

This decorated cover has lots of dimension and is full of delightful characters from the Odds & Ends pack... like the sweet mail bunny and the tiny pink snail with her flower! I set the mailbox behind the characters and used foam squares to help everything pop!

I love using my scallop scissors to cut along edges of the coordinating textured cardstock pack. Scallop edges give a soft dimension and with the gorgeous flower die cuts tucked in, it doesn't overwhelm the cluster but gives a softer display of happiness to the areas.

Layers of cuteness are created with the right sized Odds & Ends die cuts! Doodlebug Design Odds & Ends and Bits & Pieces are packed to the brim with different sizes and pieces, you'll be spoiled for choice :-) Each piece matches and I've added them to this main cluster for maximum cuteness!

Have you spotted this sweet Cupcake colored mini doily! It fits perfectly along with the tiny stamp, cheery cherry and teeny tiny love heart! If you know my style, I adore adding all the details to all my projects. And that kisses sticker from the This & That sticker sheet is Sealed with a Kiss! Heehee!

Here is my video flip through!

LOTS OF LOVE SWEETHEART LAYOUT | with Erica

Happy Valentine's Day!  Are you looking for a fun way to use up some smaller scraps and some of your tools? Pull out your heart punches and start punching!

Using different sized heart punches punch out paper scraps from the Lots of Love collection. Layer them up to create some dimensional hearts and use your tiny attacher to secure them together.

Adhere the punched hearts to a piece of white textured cardstock that has been trimmed down to 11x11. Pop some of the layered hearts up on foam adhesive for even more dimension.

Fill in the open spots on your layout with Lots of Love Mini Icon Stickers, Icon Stickers and heart shaped sprinkles! I also added a few Lots of Love Odds & Ends to the center of some of my hearts and word stickers from the 12x12 cardstock stickers!

Mat your layout on 2 different pattern papers from the Lots of Love collection to help your layout pop and bring it all together! Use one of the Lots of Love Chit Chat pieces as your title! I placed mine right under my photos popped up with some foam adhesive.

I love how this layout turned out and I was able to use up some smaller scraps I had from past Lots of Love projects! I hope you give this design a try and are inspired to use up your scraps and punches! You could also change up the shape and do stars, circles or even butterflies!
