BUNNY HOP SPRING BASKET | with Miguel

Working with the Bunny Hop collection isn't just about Easter; its wide variety of designs includes floral patterns that are perfect for spring or any other occasion. For my latest project, I created this spring basket, perfect for gifting chocolates on a special day like a birthday.

I made the structure with the bunny hop solids assortment in a pink tone and decorated it with the same collection, again using the technique of texturizing the paper with a quilted effect.

I decorated with various Bunny Hop embellishments, including Bits & Pieces and Chit Chats, placing them using foam dots to give that 3D effect that I love so much!

To make my basket more authentic and realistic, I added chunky brads to create the swivel handles.

I hope you really like my project! See you soon.

SNOW MUCH FUN HEART TREAT BOXES | with Karen

Hey Doodlebug fans! It's almost time for Valentine's Day, so I wanted to share a little project with you that you can use to show a little love!

One of the things I love doing around Valentine's day is playing with collections that can be used for the day even if they weren't designed that way. I know that Valentine's day is usually full of pink, red and white, but I have some special people in my life who would prefer blue or purple any day. So why not design for the day with your loved one's favourite colours?

Snow Much Fun is definitely a winter collection, but there are so many beautiful prints in this collection that are not snow-themed at all. Pull them out and you can craft with this collection any time of the year for any event that you might need! I used it to create these little treat containers that I made with the help of a Lori Whitlock cut file.

The base is Doodlebug textured cardstock from the coordinated pack. It is the perfect weight for the bases and the texture adds more interest and dimension.

Each section of the container is then decorated with some patterned paper.

I then embellished each one of the containers with patterned paper - All Bundled Up, Snow Much Fun and Snow Happy Together were the three pieces that I used.

Finally, I topped them off with a tag that I cut from the Freeze tag 12x12 paper and then embellished with a couple of hearts from the Puffy Icon Stickers. Each container was then filled up and tied up with some Chunky Doodle Twine in Lilac.

These containers are as sweet as the treats inside and I cannot wait to share them this week! Don't be afraid to share a little love with an unconventional collection - it might just set your gift apart from the rest! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!

SNOW MUCH FUN WINTER BOXES | with Miguel

As you can probably tell, I personally love finding items related to Doodlebug designs, and today is no exception. I bought these snowy pine candles that perfectly complement the projects I made today!

I made these boxes with the Snow Much Fun collection; the base is made with cardstock and the lid with acetate to make the pine candle stand out.

For the decoration I used icons with the different characters from the collection and I loved the result!

And that's how I created these beautiful boxes! They're perfect for giving a little something during this cold season.

Thanks for stopping by and reading!

SNOW MUCH FUN WINTER COFFEE STATION | with Miguel

Creating projects that are both functional and decorative is something I really enjoy, and this time I created this beautiful coffee station using the Snow Much Fun collection. These designs make you want to grab something warm to enjoy on this cold winter day! Haha!

My project is made with cardboard to give stability to the piece, I covered it with various designs from the collection to make them all stand out.

I decorated my box with Icon Stickers,  and in the middle part I made a sliding box to accommodate the chocolate or coffee packets in any position.

I added more decorative touches like this mug and this beautiful teddy bear to make my project even cuter! And that's how you create a super functional and decorative project for this cold season.

See you soon!

OH WHAT FUN GIFT BOX | with Miguel

It's incredible how time flies! Once again, I'm creating with the Doodlebug "Oh What Fun" collection, and today I made this beautiful cardboard box lined with designs from the collection. It can be used to store anything or simply to give a very special gift!

On the top of the lid, I created a quilted look with paper, and added the beautiful Santa's on his way Doodle-pop. I also added some buttons that match the collection.

To continue with the rest of my decoration, I used chit-chats to add some phrases and kept adding sewing details like this spool of thread. I love the result!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas. Sending you a big hug with lots of love and gratitude, Miguel.

SWEET & SPOOKY - HALLOWEEN GIFT BOX | with Miguel

Halloween is the most fun time, because of its colors and, of course, the beautiful Doodlebug collections. I loved working with the Sweet & Spooky collection... the colors are fantastic!

Today I created this beautiful box made from cardboard and covered with some coordinating textured Cardstock as the base. I then covered the sides with patterned papers from the collection.

And inside, this cute Halloween surprise couldn't be missing: a pumpkin for these holidays.

To decorate, I used lots of the Odds & Ends.  I also used shape sprinkles for a bit of shine!

Have a great day!

FARMHOUSE CARD MAKING GIFT CRATE | with Jen

When you need a fall gift or a thank you gift Farmhouse is the perfect collection. The warm fall colors and leaves and flowers are just so cozy! For this project I decided to make a gift crate and fill it with Doodlebug product perfect for card making.

I made the crate out of kraft cardstock and matted it with Kraft Buffalo Check Wood Grain Petite Print. I measured the inside and did a bunch of math and added the Fall Floral 12x12 paper draped off the sides as if I'd added a tea towel or something inside. I score this to fit down inside It shows through the slats on the side and the back side of the paper hangs over the front and back.

On the ends I used various elements from the Chit Chat, Bits and Pieces, and Odds and Ends, and Puffy Icons. On the front and back I clustered more ephemera and added the Thankful for You Shaker Pop.

I finished it with a tag from the Bits and Pieces pack and decorated it with Puffy Icons and Puffy Words from Butterfly Kisses. I tied the tag on with Mint, Bon Bon, and Tangerine Doodle Twine.

I filled the crate with Odds and Ends, Chit Chat, Bits and Pieces, Mini Icons, Puffy Icons, ALL the Doodle-pops, and coordinating Cards and Envelopes Pack and 6x6 Farmhouse Paper Pad. I added Chunky Twine in Mint, Tangerine, and Bon Bon to all of them to make the whole thing more fun.

BEE HAPPY ALTERED BOX | with Miguel

Bringing wooden pieces to life is something I truly enjoy. It allows me to further develop my creativity and achieve incredible results. And of course, always with the help of Doodlebug products. Look how beautifully I decorated this box with the Bee Happy collection.

I cut several pieces of cardboard and covered them with the different patterns from the collection. This way, I don't have to worry about which paper to choose, hehe. It's about alternating them throughout the project so that both stand out inside and

One of the products I used was the shadow box insert kit, since this time I made my own interpretation by placing it in the central circle of my box and I loved it.

I finished decorating with odds and gave it a harmonious look without overloading my project. I invite you to continue discovering how wonderful it is to create with Doodlebug. See you soon.

BERRY SWEET TEACHER THANK YOU GIFT | with Karen

Up here in Canada, we are still in school until the end of June. So that means it is time to get some "thank-you" gifts together for staff and teachers. And really, I couldn't think of a better collection to create all sorts of goodies.

One of my favourite boxes for teacher gifts is a cut file from Lori Whitlock called - Pencil Shaped Box. The other night I was thinking what adorable stationary this collection would make so it seemed perfect to team it with this cut file for a project. I used the 12x12 patterned paper from the collection for the base with a few accents make out of Doodlebug's textured cardstock.

I then topped off the lid of the box with some of the die cuts from the All The Things pack. I also added one of the tags that I cut from the 6X8 patterned paper pack (still one of my new favourites from Doodlebug).

It's a simple project that I think has a bit of that "wow" factor! Now my next task is to figure out what to put inside - am I the only one that makes the cute packaging before they figure out what the gift is going to be?! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!
