FARMERS MARKET TREAT CONTAINERS | with Karen

Good morning Doodlebug fans. Today, I am over the moon because I get to share a project with one of my favourite collections - Farmers Market. I know, I know - I say that about every Doodlebug collection. But this one is one of my favourites because it reminds me of all the things I love about this time of year - the end of the growing season, the warm colours and all the plants in my garden that I worked on all summer. It's a comforting time of year for me and I feel like this collection captures that feeling.

Because of all that, this collection often inspires to give thanks and to give to others. Treat containers are a great way to do that. You can tuck a little note inside together with a little treat and you can spread the warm fuzzy feelings of the fall with those are you.

For these pillow boxes, I actually decided to use some Petite Prints as my base. I actually love using these printed papers for treat containers because I don't have to worry about coordinating colours. Because the Petite Prints come in the classic Doodlebug colours and are monochromatic, you can even make up a whole set to keep on hand to match any collection you are working with. I always cut a bunch at a time to keep in my stash!

For these cuties, I used the Farmers Market patterned paper for the band because those smiling veggies make me smile. I would like to think that this is how all of my plants are feeling at this time of the year - all plump and happy! Then I layered some of the Bits & Pieces from the collection on top. There are so many pretty floral shapes and leaves to create your own little paper bouquet on top. Use some foam adhesive underneath them to get some added dimension!

And then for a little sparkle, add a few mini jewels to take the project to another level. There is something about adding a little shiny touch that elevates the project a bit. And since the mini jewels have adhesive on them, it couldn't be easier to just "zhuzh" it up a bit.

There you have it! Fill these treat containers with some goodies or even some seeds that you have harvested from your garden and you have a beautiful little gift to share with those that you are truly thankful for! It will give the fall warm fuzzies for sure! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

FARMHOUSE SHAKER PLACE CARDS | with Jen

Thanksgiving is less than three weeks away. Good thing the brand new Farmhouse collection is perfect to make some fun place cards!

I used the 6x6 paper pad to make some cute shaker place cards perfect for my Thanksgiving gathering. I used some of the new Doodle-Pops and Shaker-Pops to decorate them and filled them with the new Shades of Fall and Fall Flowers shaker mixes. I used Tangerine Alphabet Soup puffy stickers to add the names.

Look at that cute shaker fill!

Want to make your own? Start with a 12x12 sheet of cardstock. Cut it to 7 1/4" high and then cut that piece into 4" wide pieces Take your leftover piece and cut it to 4" and 7 1/4" high to get four place cards from one sheet.

With the 7 1/4" side along the top of your score board score at 3/4", 1 1/2", 2 1/4", and 4 3/4".

Fold as pictured below.

Add your matting and shaker frame using foam tape and acetate and you're ready to go! Or skip the shaker to make it even easier.

FARMERS MARKET AUTUMN NOTEBOOK | with Miguel

Notebooks are always fun to embellish!  Today I have a notebook I created with the beautiful Farmers Market Collection. This notebook has a fun, original detail... the shaker which helps close the top and bottom of the cover!

The base of the notebook is made with gray cardboard number two. I love how the shaker frame, which contains small pearls and glitter, makes this notebook a unique and fun piece!

  

The sunflower Doodle Pop perfectly adorns the cover!  I also included small sprinkles flowers giving the project some brightness and shine.

I finished my notebook with a charm in the same shades of the collection.

GREAT OUTDOORS PILLOW BOX TREATS | with Karen

There is something about the fall that always make me crave little treats. Give me a bag of the chewy little caramels this time of year and I am happy girl! Perhaps it is a comfort craving brought on by flannel and cooler weather, or perhaps it is just me craving sugar to get through the first few weeks of back to school Whatever the case is, I love little fall treats!

So it only made sense to create some little pillow boxes to hold my fall treats. Truth be told, I made these to hold little fall treats for other people - but they give me a great excuse to sneak some! The Great Outdoors is a perfect collection for this time of the year. Cozy colours and cute designs that make me think of curling up beside a fire watching the kids make smores! I teamed them up the 12x12 patterned paper with some Petite Prints and a mini doily for the bases and then went to town embellishing!

The Great Outdoors Odds and Ends dies cuts make the perfect feature for the pillow boxes. Not only are there so many shapes and characters to choose from, they really are the perfect size for pillow boxes. I used some of the cute insects for this set, but if you are a camper or have friends who are - this set will have you making treat containers for everyone at the RV park!

To finish it all off, I added some glitter Sprinkles, some Doodle twine and a little message from the Chit Chat die cuts. All of the piece are attached with some foam adhesive to give each a bit more dimension.

I really love how these turned out. They remind me of all the fun things about summer with all the coziness of fall! Okay, now bring on the caramels! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,
