SEASIDE SUMMER WINDOW FLIP CARD | with Kathy

Have you ever seen a design and said, "I can make that!"  Well that's what I did for this fun Window Flip Card featuring the Seaside Summer Collection! I needed a birthday card and was looking on line for inspiration.  I found this card design by @gayatriscrafts on Instagram.  She didn't give measurements, so I sat down with my Silhouette and created a slimline sized cut file based on her design.  Take a peek....

This is the front of the card.  I made a fun ocean scene using the Seaside Summer goodies!  I love the Puffy Icons, they really make things pop!  I combined them with some Icon stickers, Shaped Sprinkles, Textured Cardstock and the coral die and Jawsome Sentiment from the Sea Life Doodle Stamps.

Now for the fun part... when you pull up on the top of the frame, you get a whole new scene!

I had fun making layers of sea critters!  They are so cute!

At the very bottom I used another sentiment from the Sea Life Doodle Stamps.  This design is so fun, you could also use it to display/send little photos to friends as sort of a card mini album!  Here's a short video of the card in action...

And if you would like to make one of your own, I have the file free on my blog here.  There's also an assembly tutorial on my YouTube Channel here.  If you create one please be sure to tag me @kathy_skou and @gayatriscrafts!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

iNSD 2023 - A FREE FILE FOR YOU!

Are you crafting this  interNational Scrapbook Day today?  We are!!  And to celebrate we are giving you a free cut file!  Today only, you can get this It's a Rainbow Kind of Day cut file free in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop!

Kathy has some inspiration for you using this fun file!

Doodlebug and Rainbows... what could be more fun?  I was excited to get a sneak peek of the iNSD free cut file!  I knew I had the perfect photo to use... a once in a lifetime shot of my mom & I at the end of the rainbow at Loch Ness, Scotland... take a peek....

I started my layout using the Over the Rainbow collection/double sided cardstock as my base. (appropriate, right?).  I cut a layer of white cardstock to 11"x11" and stenciled some clouds onto the top of the page using distress ink.  I then stitched this centered on the Over the Rainbow paper.

I cut out the file using some of the new Candy Stripe - Sprinkles and Plaid - Polka Dot Petite Prints.  I just love these new basics.  They coordinate perfectly with all Doodlebug Collections! I added the file to my layout, popping it up with some foam tape to give it more dimension.

I cut my photo to be slightly smaller than the O in rainbow and added it to the layout.

And of course, I had to add some coordinating sprinkles to my letters for a little shine and a fun blue cloud from the Over the Rainbow Odds & Ends pack.

If you download and use the file, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Instagram & Facebook... we love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
