HELLO AGAIN USING 6x6 PAPER ON 12x12 LAYOUTS | With Traci

Hi everyone! Traci here and today I have two colorful 12x12 scrapbook layouts to share with you. My focus was to use paper from the Hello Again 6x6 paper pad in a creative way so that they'd coordinate and each have a unique design. Take a look ...

For both layouts, I used the 12x12 Patchwork Plaid print as the base. It has all the gorgeous Hello Again colors and the geometric pattern makes for a great background.

On this first page, I added a sheet of lily white card stock. Next, I cut the 6x6 paper into squares (2 3/4"x 2 3/4") and then cut them in half diagonally. I arranged the pieces in a heart shape ... like a quilt pattern!

For embellishments, I added the super cute Bit of Happiness Doodle-pops. I'm loving the metallic gold! I also used some die cuts from the Odds & Ends, Chit Chat, and a few word stickers from the This and That sheet. Finally, I sprinkled around a few gold hearts from the puffy shapes and ... she was complete! 

For the second page, I added the petite prints candy stripe & sprinkles in bubblegum and another piece of lily white card stock. I created my favorite grid layout and used the 6x6 pattern paper for my nine 3 1/4 x 3 1/4" squares.

I used lots of goodies on this layout. The books in the photo above are from the icon stickers. The butterflies are from the Odds & Ends. Then, I added the gold puffy hearts and a beautiful gold enamel dot sprinkle.

In another square, I used the globe from the Odds & Ends and added the Love You piece from the Chit Chat on top. And ... more gold enamel dot sprinkles, of course!

I love creating different projects with the Hello Again collection. Such pretty colors, icons, and touches of gold. I hope this collection and these pages inspire you to use your 6x6 paper pads on 12x12 layouts! Happy scrappin'!

PETITE PRINTS PARADISE LAYOUT | With Traci

Happy Thursday friends! I hope everyone is enjoying your summer because I have a 12x12 summer-inspired page today. It's actually a companion page to the layout I shared with you two weeks ago here.

You know me, I love a good grid layout. Something about the clean lines, symmetry, and focus on lots of photos has my name written all over it :). So I grabbed my 4 favorite colors of the new polka dot/plaid and candy stripe/sprinkle petite prints (cherry, swimming pool, limeade and bumblebee) and cut out twenty-five 2.25" squares.

I was originally going to place them on a diagonal, but I liked how the square grid mimicked my companion beach page so I stuck with that.

Once all of my squares were on the white base, I added 2" white mats to random squares and chose a set of 4 to cover with a larger 4.25" square mat.

The really fun part was adding mini icon stickers, and chit chat pieces, along with some coordinating shape sprinkles (Seaside Summer) to the page.

My first beach page allowed for 6 photos, and today's has space for at least 9+. That's a lot of pictures on a two-page layout! So grab your favorite petite print colors and have some fun with squares! Until next time, happy scrapping everyone!

GREAT OUTDOORS - OUTDOORS LAYOUT | with Traci

Happy Thursday friends!  If you were following along on September 15, you saw a 12x12 page the I created using the adorable Great Outdoors collection.  Since I know how much you like 2 page layouts, I decided to design a companion page to go with that page.

When I create 2 page layouts, I like for them to flow into one another, so that your eye moves across the pages seamlessly.  To do this, I layered a piece of the Happy Camper paper on the left side of the page, to follow the design on page 1.  The blue plaid (Sleeping Bag) paper is on the right side of the page to tie into the plaid border and trees.

I used the same mat colors on this page, and used the pretty floral print for a cohesive look.  

A note about the die cuts I used on both pages:  In my last post I told you I used Odds & Ends from the Great Outdoors.  I did, but when creating this second page, I realized that some of the odds & ends were actually from the Friendly Forest collection AND from the Pumpkin Spice collection.  So sorry for this confusion, but it's one reason I love Doodlebug so much ... all of the collections coordinate so well together!  So have fun mixing and matching!

Great Outdoors Collection

PUMPKIN SPICE AUTUMN LAYOUT | with Traci

Happy November!  I'm excited to be back on the blog to share the first page of a fun double page layout.  I'll be sharing the 2nd page in a few weeks on another post :).  Both pages use the awesome new Pumpkin Spice collection and the new buffalo check/woodgrain prints.

For this page, I used the kraft check for a base, and layered white card stock (11.5"x11.5") in the center of the base.  The kraft wood grain mat for the six 3x4" photos is 9.25" wide and 8.25" tall.  I ran a piece of the cute mushroom border across the bottom and a striped sticker across the top.

I love the adorable DoodlePop fox sitting on my chit chat title ... and those tiny little shiny mushrooms!

For a little more colorful cuteness, I added tiny dot sprinkles around the corners.  They are from the Happy Fall shape sprinkles (so are those precious leaves) Oh! and how cute is my sweet sister??
