HOMETOWN USA JULY 4TH FUN LAYOUT | with Tya

There’s something so special about documenting those classic summertime memories, and this Hometown USA collection was absolutely perfect for capturing these sweet Fourth of July moments! The bright reds, crisp blues, and cheerful patterns instantly bring all the patriotic fun to life, while the adorable icons and dimensional embellishments make this page feel like a celebration all on its own. I loved combining playful layers, festive textures, and happy photos to create a layout that feels every bit as joyful as the memories themselves.

The foundation of this page begins with a simple patchwork background created from two coordinating patterned papers from the Petite Prints.  The bold red polka dots paired with the soft blue plaid create a classic patriotic color palette while allowing the photos and embellishments to really shine. A pair of blue border strips helps divide the design and draws your eye right to the center of the page.

The main focal point is filled with layers of fun! I tucked in several accordion-fold rosettes to add lots of dimension before building my title cluster on top. The “July 4th FUN” title from the Chit Chat makes a bold statement, and I surrounded it with fireworks die cuts, stars, and the cutest little Uncle Sam icon, all of these from the Odds and Ends, Bits and Pieces, and This and That stickers. Enamel stars from the Star Spangled Shape Sprinkles, heart accents, and a cute bird sticker add the perfect finishing touches while giving the entire cluster plenty of depth and sparkle.

The photo arrangement is one of my favorite parts of this layout. Instead of placing the pictures in a traditional grid, I overlapped three snapshots at slightly different heights to create movement while still keeping the design balanced. The little “Having a Blast” speech bubble from the This and That Sticker Sheet is the perfect sentiment for these silly patriotic photo booth pictures, and I couldn’t resist adding a tiny firecracker Odds and Ends die cuts along with more star Shaped Sprinkles beside the photos for one more festive detail.

To preserve the story behind these memories, I included a simple hand-written journaling card found in the Bits and Pieces,  tucked right beside the title. The lined notebook paper adds a fun, casual feel and keeps the focus on the sweet memory of Chloe and Wyatt enjoying the Fourth of July together. Sometimes the simplest journaling pieces become the most meaningful part of a scrapbook page years later.

HOMETOWN USA TAG MINI ALBUM | with Kathy

I love a tag mini album.  They are such a great way to document your favorite photos without a lot of fuss!  And since the Fourth of July is a great photo opportunity, I thought it would be perfect to create a fun 4th Tag Mini using the Hometown USA Collection.  Take a peek...

I created my cover using some of the Festive Fireworks Heavyweight Acetate.  I added some silver cardstock from my stash and the adorable July 4th Shaker Pop.  The Happy was created with Ladybug Alphabet Soup Stickers.  I love the shine!

I started my pages with a fun tag from the Bits & Pieces, adding an Icon Sticker and a sprinkle heart from the Land that I Love shaped sprinkles.

For my remaining pages, I cut a stitched rectangles using dies from my stash as photo spots.  I then decorated with a variety of goodies including This & That Stickers, Odds & Ends, Icon Stickers, Mini Icon Stickers, Puffy Icon Stickers, Shaped Sprinkles, Bits & Pieces, and Chit Chats.

Now all I need to do is get my holiday photos printed!  And because everything is more fun when you can see it in action, I created a quick video flip through for you...

HOMETOWN USA SUMMER TRADITION LAYOUT | with Inessa

There's something so classic about a red, white, and blue color palette, and the Hometown USA collection makes it even more special with beautiful silver foil accents that add just the right amount of sparkle!

For this layout, I wanted to create a bold focal point, so I started by using nested star-shaped dies to cut several stars from the patterned papers in the 6x6 paper pad. To give them extra dimension, I layered each star with foam adhesive. On three of the stars, I added stitching using coordinating silver thread, which ties in perfectly with the silver foil details throughout the collection while adding a fun bit of texture.

I arranged the stars along the left side of a sheet of white cardstock and then created a playful background by using an entire pack of the star spangled shape sprinkles. They add so much interest while reinforcing the patriotic theme of the collection.

My 4x6 photo is matted with both white cardstock and the blue polka dot pride patterned paper to help it stand out from the background. I finished the page with title words from the Chit Chat pack, along with a few additional embellishments from the Bits & Pieces pack, including a tab, plus a banner from the Chit Chat pack to complete the design.

One of my favorite things about this layout is how quickly it came together! Every patterned paper you see was cut from the 6x6 paper pad with exception of the blue polka dot. It's a great reminder that you can create a layered, eye-catching scrapbook page using just the smaller paper pad and a few coordinating embellishments.

HOMETOWN USA PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN LAYOUT | with Tya

There’s something so special about documenting the little moments that make up childhood, and these sweet photos of my bestie’s grandson were simply too adorable not to scrapbook! From his patriotic outfit to that bright, contagious smile, everything about these pictures makes me think of summertime, fireworks, and celebrating the Fourth of July. The Hometown USA collection was the perfect match, with its bold reds, crisp whites, vibrant blues, and playful patriotic icons that made this page come to life.

One of my favorite design elements on this layout is the border of punched stars that surrounds the entire focal area. I cut stars from several of the patterned papers from the Petite Prints Assortment Pack and layered them around the photos to create movement and frame the page with lots of patriotic fun. The mix of patterns and shades of red, white, blue, and soft gray adds so much interest while keeping the eye focused on those precious smiling photos. I also added a few die-cut stars from the Odds and Ends, as well as some Patriotic Mini Jewels here and there.

The title, Proud to Be an American,  found in the Chit Chat, became the perfect centerpiece for the layout. I love how the bold lettering stretches across the page and ties the two photos together while leaving room for a bit of heartfelt journaling underneath. It creates a fun visual anchor while celebrating both the holiday and this sweet little guy.

The two photos are definitely the stars of the page! I matted them with white cardstock and tilted them slightly for a playful look that complements Ben’s energetic personality. One photo captures his sweet little grin, while the other showcases his joyful laugh, and together they perfectly tell the story of a happy Fourth of July afternoon.

The adorable fireworks stand embellishment from the Odds and Ends quickly became one of my favorite clusters on the page. From the fireworks burst, tiny American flags, metallic silver stars, and the darling little boy created the perfect festive scene. It reminds me of all the excitement of stopping by a neighborhood fireworks stand before the big celebration, and it adds such a fun storytelling element to the layout.

On the right side of the layout, I balanced everything with another festive embellishment cluster featuring a sparkler, patriotic heart, layered stars, and more of those punched star accents. I love repeating design elements throughout a page because it helps create flow while adding lots of depth and dimension.

HOMETOWN USA PENNANT SHAKER MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello, Crafty Friends! I'm excited to share with you a Pennant-shaped mini album using Hometown USA. Creating this album was a blast! The front and back cover feature Land that I Love and silver ball shakers. One of the great things about mini albums is that they can be crafted in any shape or size. What I especially love about this one is that it can be expanded to accommodate more photos from your July parties if you'd like, thanks to the rings.

Let's get started! I began by cutting out two pennant shapes from the I Heart America paper, with each shape measuring 5.55 by 6.47 inches. Then, using the Festive Fireworks Acetate, I carefully cut out corresponding shapes and proceeded to stitch three of the sides, making sure to leave the top open to add the shakers. Finally, I closed the open side using my sewing machine. If you don't have a sewing machine, you have the option to use double-sided tape or hand stitching as an alternative method.

I chose both patterned and cardstock papers for the inner pages of my project (5.55 by 6.47 inches.). After selecting the papers, I utilized my Cricut machine to cut two pages from each.  To enhance the visual appeal of the pages and accommodate my photos, I incorporated photo mats made from coordinating cardstock and patterned paper. Additionally, for two of the pages, I included a trifold page layout to accommodate more photos and add depth to the design.

When working with the photo mats, ensure that they measure 3.75" by 4.25" to accommodate your 3x4 photos. For the trifold photo mats, you will require a coordinating cardstock that measures 12" by 4.25". Score the cardstock on the longest side at 4" and 8", then fold the flap on top. To keep them closed, you have the option to add ribbons or magnets.

To complete the album I added stickers, Chit Chats, and other decorative elements. Right now, it's pretty minimal, but I'll be adding more after I've included the photos. I can't wait to see the one-of-a-kind album you'll craft using Hometown USA. Thank you for stopping by! Xo Conny

HOMETOWN USA WREATH LAYOUT | with Erica

What is one design that you can do over and over again on your scrapbook pages? For me it is a wreath design or large circular element in the center! Today I have a fun layout using the Hometown USA collection to share with you.

I am using some Lily White Textured Cardstock for my base and I have trimmed it down to 11.50" square. Next I layered a piece of solid cardstock and a 12x12 pattern paper from the Hometown USA collection.

I used a large circle template to draw a circle in the middle of the layout base and then began to adhere some of the large acetate fireworks from the Bits & Pieces pack.

Next I added a second and third layer of fireworks using more acetate, Icon stickers and Odds & Ends. I used foam adhesive to adhere them down to give them a lot of dimension.

After all the layers were down I went in with smaller elements from the Hometown USA collection like puffy icon stickers, sprinkles and mini icon stickers. I matted my photos on some pattern papers from the 6x6 paper pad and adhered to the layout.

I created a smaller cluster of embellishments above the photos and added one of the Chit Chat pieces for my title below the photos!

I just love how it turned out and how easy it was to create the wreath! There are so many little elements around the wreath giving it so much dimension and interest! Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today!
