OVER THE RAINBOW - MARCH MEMORIES | with Kathy

I've completely enjoyed keeping up with my Hello 2025 Album, so I decided to do a few more pages using the super fun Over the Rainbow collection.  I love this collection because you can use it for St. Patrick's Day, Spring, or everyday!

For my first page, I used the citrus Floral/Graph Petite Prints from the coordinating Petite Prints pack as my background.  The big tag was cut from the B-side of the Shine Bright paper.  I love how it anchors my photo!  I embellished with a border sticker and tab from the This & That and a chit chat sentiment. For my title I used some Swimming Pool Alphabet Soup letters.

My next spread takes full advantage of the St. Patrick's Day themed elements in the collection!  We had a mini photo session with my bestie's grandson in his sweet hand knit Irish sweater!

I matted my first photo using layers of papers from the 6x6 pad.  I embellished with some Chit Chat pieces and then added some little daisy sprinkles from the Lots O' Luck Shaped Sprinkles.

My next page features our favorite photos from the session.  I embellished the photos with a combination of This & That, Mini Icons and Puffy Icons.  My journaling piece is from the Bits & Pieces pack, and I added a few Lots O' Luck Clover shaped sprinkles.  I loved the So Lucky Shaker-pop so I added it on the outside of the page insert.

My last pages feature photos from my favorite crafty event... the Crop on the Cape!  I've been going for over 20 years!  It always happens right around St. Patrick's Day, so the Over the Rainbow collection was perfect!

The ladies at my table took lots of pics this year!  On the first half of my spread I featured all the fun photos from our dinners (and one to prove we actually did craft....lol)  I embellished the photos with Stickers from the This & That Sheet and some mini icons.  My journal spot comes from the Bits & Pieces pack and I embellished with a few flowers from the Spring Garden Shaped Sprinkles.

For my last page, I started with a fun cut file I purchased in the Silhouette Store (link below).  I sized it to fit my 6x8 page, and backed it with the 6x6 version of the Over the Rainbow paper.  I added some color coordinated This & That and Puffy Icon stickers to the stipes.

The Over the Rainbow collection is such a fun collection, and it can be used for so many things!  If you've created something using the collection, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on socials!  We love to see what you create.  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - RECAP DECEMBER MINI | with Nathalie

Hi there! As we are reviewing our past weeks using the beautiful Doodlebug 6x8 albums, I have to say that I have been loving, and jotting down ideas for my own memory keeping. I love the possibilities the album offers (probably cause I love documenting in smaller formats), especially when it came to getting my December 2023 memories into the album.

I decided to keep the cover of my Cupcake album simple and not bulky so that it sits nicely on my shelf and also reflects the contents of the album. I am using Tinsel Time to bring color and fun to my memories in the album.

I always love having a title page for my albums, this time I am using the Shadow Box kit from Tinsel Time. I created a circle from one of the binder pages, and then used the template to place all the pieces, followed by the large title. I love how it turned out!

One of my favorite things about the new Doodlebug albums are the interactive pages added in them. I took advantage of one of the pockets to add multiple pictures and journaling.

Pocket pages are a great and easy way to document your memories. So, I am mixing them with handmade inserts/pages. In this case, I am adding a piece of transparency as a title page for my spread, while adding a bit more impact to my album.

I took advantage of the back of the transparency to bring the next memories together. Interactive elements are always fun to add to your albums since you have the option to have spreads outside of the pocket page. So adding flips and pockets is a fun way to keep the album fun and interesting!

One of my favorite things about 6x8 albums is that you are able to scrapbook in a smaller version. You can have all your embellishments, and patterned papers in a smaller size with multiple and also large pictures.

I just loved working with this smaller format, and I hope you are enjoying all the beautiful ideas shared. I cannot wait to continue working in my little albums ( I might have added a few more to my collection!). Be sure to check the albums, you are going to love them! XO

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - HELLO 2025 RECAP | with Kathy

I have had so much fun working on my Hello 2025 Mini Album!  Documenting my favorite moments from each month has been so enjoyable!  Today I have a couple more pages, and a run-through of all of my pages to date.  My hope is to keep adding to my book each month!

After my last post, I took a few more pics that I wanted to document.  That is the beauty of these mini albums, it's so easy to just "add in" pictures!  For these photos, I used one of the cards from the Rainbow Card Collection.  I punched holes using the inserts as a guide.  It was the perfect way to fit in more photos! Take a peek...

On the front of the card, I added some Odds & Ends & Chit Chat pieces from the Lots of Love Collection.

Inside the card I added a strip of Cupcake Floral/Graph Petite Prints as a matt and added my photo.  I embellished with stickers from the This & That, a tab from the Bits & Pieces and the date using some Ladybug Alphabet Soup Stickers.

On the back of the card I added another favorite photo of my buddy giving me some snuggles.

In addition to these photos, I also prepped my calendar inserts for March & April.

I've added these pages to the ones you've already seen... here are a few of my favorites!  Also, I created a short video flip through of my album at the end!

Here's a video flip through of my pages to date.

I already have my next pages planned, and I can't wait to share them with you!  If you've been working on one of our 6x8 Mini Albums, be sure to tag Doodlebug on Socials.  We love to see what you create.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - DECEMBER MINI PART 4 | with Nathalie

It is no secret I love small format documenting, especially for all every day memories. I think most of us make a lot of memories in December, and even though they are part of our routine, they tend to be a little more memorable because of the season. So, today, I want to show you how I have gone about documenting them in single page spreads in my 6x8 Cupcake album.  If you missed my previous posts, you can find my cover post here, and my pages here and here.

I wanted to show you how easy it is to document your regular memories with a flair in your albums. For this spread, I am connecting two different single page spread by using the same paper -from Tinsel Time collection- on both sides. The left side is simple with just photos framed with one of the journaling cards and a few extra embellishments.

For the right side of the spread, I am creating an interactive element with a pocket to house a few photos and the story of the day. The background was created with Tinsel Time coordinating cardstock. Then, I cut a 6x8 piece of paper, and created the fold before gluing to the page to create the pocket. The house Doodlepop helps to anchor the pocket and as part of the title for the page.

The pocket is a great way to store your large photos and long stories. Since the pocket is already festive, then I kept the decoration to the inserts simple and focused.

Since there are so many memories happening back to back during the holiday season, I have learned that it is nice to track them all but keeping them simple in format, hence the single 6x8 page spreads.

I am using the back of the pocket spread as the base for this page. Then created a grid style spread for the story. I am using a combination of papers from the 6x6 paper pad and Petite Prints connected with a scalloped border. The large alpha stickers help to create the title and also keep my grid design for the spread.

For my last spread, I m using the 6x8 pocket from the album, therefore I trimmed the patterned paper accordingly. I used a combination of embellishments to bring the story together making sure that the colors on both sides of the album are cohesive.

I hope these spreads give you a bit of inspiration on how you can document your everyday memories in your 6x8 albums with a bit of Doodlebug magic. Remember to share with us what your are creating for your albums! XO

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - HELLO 2025 PART 4 | with Kathy

Hi Everyone!  I'm back with some February pages from my 6x8 Hello 2025 Mini Album!  If you missed my previous posts, you can find my cover post here, my quarterly dividers here, and my January pages here I've really been trying to take more photos!  I got some fun ones for the month so far!  I documented them using the Lots of Love collection, take a peek...

I love the 3x4 pocket pages that come with the 6x8 mini albums!  They are the perfect size for the cut-apart sheets that come with Doodlebug collections.  I used some from the Lots of Love collection, and "dressed" them up a little.

I added the Hello Love Doodle-pop to the first card. I also added some shaped sprinkles (clouds and hearts) to the balloon card.  The February Memories piece was cut from the lists side of the Forever Flowers paper. I stamped February using the Calendar - Handwritten Doodle Stamps and finished with some Mint Alphabet Soup and Puffy Heart Stickers.

I created a heart-shaped sticker collage (think shadowbox inserts...) for the last insert.  The Xoxo was cut using the Love You Doodle Cuts.

We made a quick trip to NYC to visit my daughter... and took her and her roommate to dinner.  Such a fun night!  My city skyline was cut from petite prints using a die from my stash.  The little balloon is from the mini icons. I used the fun word stickers and tab from the This & That sheet and a pennant from the Chit Chats to embellish my pics.

My next spread includes photos from Valentine's Day and a February calendar, similar to what I created in January.

I took a few snaps of Valentine's fun!  I found some time to make cards for my loves (and a loaf of sourdough for my daughter!)  We also went to my bestie's house for a Valentine's dinner...complete with lots of festive treats (and my little buddy!!)  The photos are mounted on some Cupcake Candy Stripe/Sprinkles Petite Prints.  I used stickers from the This & That, Mini Icons and shaped Sprinkles to embellish.

My final page is another calendar print out.  I decorated one of the album's pocket dividers to hold the calendar using Lots of Love papers, a Chit Chat and some Love Hug Bugs Doodle-pops! The Hello cut is from Hello Fall Doodle Cuts.  On the calendar, I used some Icon Stickers, Bits & Pieces and the cute bear stamp from the Doodlebug/Simon Says Stamp Happy Mail Stamp set.

I'm really enjoying documenting my everyday & special events in the 6x8 format!  I'll be back in a couple of weeks with more from my album and a complete run through to date! Thanks for stopping by to peek!

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - DECEMBER MINI PART 3 | with Nathalie

Hey there! I am having so much fun working away my past December memories in my Cupcake 6x8 Album, I really hope to get it all done before the new Holiday season arrives. Today, I wanted to share a few entries of my journal with you ! If you missed my previous posts, you can find my cover post here, and my first pages here.

I love transparency and different size/configurations for my documenting. So, I had to reach for the acrylic page from the Tinsel Time collection for these spreads.

I kept the photos in a simple photo page, taking advantage of the 3x4 journaling cards in the Tinsel Time collection, but decided to build my own card as the divider/title page for this spread.

I trimmed the transparency smaller than the standard size of the page. Then, I combined one of the 3x4 journaling cards, paper, and a Doodle-pop to make the card. I glued it to the center of the acetate, and then trimmed the title from the 6x6 paper pad.

I am taking advantage of the back of the transparency to start my next spread. So, once again I am using it as my title/journaling page for the next spread, in an interactive ways.

This time, I am using a piece of one of the envelopes from this collection to create the flap behind the title card. I had to make sure that the space used pretty much match the other side, so creating a flap just worked perfectly here.

I pulled elements from the title/cover page to complete the photo part of the spread. I am going for another interactive element for this page. The little pockets hold photos of my family. I added uniformity by repeating elements in each pocket, and used the leftover pieces of the envelope to create the small banners.

I hope this inspires you to pull your Doodlebug 6x8 Albums and start adding your memories in them. You are going to love the versatility it adds to your documenting. XO
