SNOW MUCH FUN ALTERED FRAME | with Jen

I love snowflakes. If a die set or stamp set has snowflakes chances are I'm scooping it up! That's why I was so excited to the see the Frosty Flurry Doodle Cuts that are part of the Snow Much Fun collection!

I took a simple frame and added the Lilac Doodlebug cardstock to cover it. I added a scrap from the collection kit inside to mat my picture.

Then I cut a TON of snowflakes from Blue Jean, Sea Glass, and Limeade Textured Cardstock, and added some cut from scraps from the 12x12 collection kit and the 6x6 pad.

I layered them up and adhered them to the front of my frame. I added a title from the Chit Chat pack.

I finished it off with Mini Jewels in the center of each snowflake cluster, and some Sprinkles and I Love Snow Shape Sprinkles as added embellishments.

Have a great day!

DOWN ON THE FARM PORTRAIT CUBE | with Miguel

Do you have unused or undecorated pieces of wood in your craft stash? Well, today I show you a fun and useful way to decorate them . A few days ago, I found this wooden cube among my things, and I decided to paint and decorate it with doodlebug Down on the Farm collection. Since it was a cube shape, I decided to make a photo "frame" on each side of this piece.

I first cut slightly smaller cardboard frames for each side of the cube. I decorated the open "window: of the frame with some papers from the collection and also added a piece of acetate to protect the photo that will be placed there.

I love the bandana designs.  They look great in the frame when it doesn't hold a photo.

I added a little farm animal from the mini icons for each side of the cube.  On the upper part I created a farm with my Doodle pop to be the center of my project.

I hope you are inspired to create a cube of your own!  Thank you for stopping by!

Friendly Forest: Framed Fall Decor

The days are getting shorter, there's a chill in the air, and the leaves are turning beautiful shades of orange, yellow, and brown.  That can only mean one thing - FALL is in the air!!  Hi friends - it's Wendy Sue here today, sharing a project I put together with the Friendly Forest collection, just in time to decorate for Fall!

I wanted something to put out on the entertainment center for the few weeks BEFORE I broke out the Halloween decorations - and then it'll go back up for a few weeks after Halloween, before the Thanksgiving decorations go up!   So this Fall framed decor is to fill those few awkward weeks between holidays!
I had this fun oval paper mache frame in my stash and I thought it would be fun to embellish with the Friendly Forest collection.  I covered the front of the frame with woodgrain patterned paper - I love how Doodlebug even manages to make woodgrain look fun and whimsical!
I used several of the cute stickers from the "this & that" sticker sheet.  The notebook paper made the perfect base for my little sticker collage.  Isn't that raccoon the cutest?  I put him (and his big acorn) on pop-dots for a bit of added dimension.  I also added several of the epoxy "sprinkles shapes" to my collage, I just love the way they shine and pop off the background!

After I finished the picture, I felt like I wanted to add some color to the frame, so I made this little leaf banner with doodle-pops, twine, and mini clothespins!

So...do YOU decorate for fall, or do you head straight for the Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations?

Lyrics + Doodlebug = Cute Home Decor

You Make Me Happy

I love this song and I've sung it to my kiddos since they were babies.  I just love the message - and they truly DO make me happy - so I thought it would be an appropriate addition to our decor. ;)  I loved mixing and matching lots of different Doodlebug letter stickers and rub-ons - plus a bit of bling and of course, a doodle-pop up top!
