Washi Tape Drinking Jars

Designer Note: My 6 year old daughter was crafting the other day and made these drink/trinket jars. So consider turning your kids loose with a little washi tape and see what THEY create...you might be amazed!

Butterfly Mask

Designer Note: My girly-girl loves to dress up so I thought we could make some fun masks! Using some Doodlebug embellishments and candy coated cardstock, she had a great time with this summer 'boredom buster'. First you'll need find a printable mask template. Trace the template and have your child cut it out. Add a small brad and twine to be able to tie the mask on. Then let her embellish away!

Paper Dolls

Designer Note: I created two dress up dolls with matching clothes using the Silhouette Cameo. When I saw this design in the Silhouette store I knew straight away I wanted to create these dolls, as I have such font memories of my own dress up doll from when I was 8 years old. Doodlebug's cardstock, 6x6 paper pads and the fantastics designs and colors were just perfect for this project! I made "4th of July" dresses for both girls :). The clothes and the hairs are adhered to the doll using strips of adhesive magnetic tape: super easy!

Kids Crafts Week at Doodlebug

We know you've all been home with your kids so far this summer and are probably being told how BORED your kids are already. So we challenged our Design Team to share their ideas for projects our fans could do WITH their kids. DIY Kids Bookmarks

Designer Note: Does your local library host a summer reading program?  Ours does and my kids are always excited to sign up and read fun books all summer long.  This year my youngest child can even read chapter books on his own – it’s so exciting!  Since they are all reading bigger books, they take more than one sitting, so I thought we would make some fun little bookmarks for the kids to use.  They had so much fun choosing their own sticker and paper color – they were super easy to make too!

Doodle "Bug" Sack Puppets

Designer Note: I used my die cut machine and punches; however if you do not have access to a die cut machine, simply use a plate to trace around for the body and the head.
Pre cut shapes for kids who can not cut yet, to make it easier for them to piece together.
Use Circle Punches to create the eyes, nose and mouth (the mouth is 1/2 of a circle).
Use a Heart Punch to add the ladybug dots, and antenna's.
Use Washi Tape to add the stripes to the Bubblebee's Body. 
You can use two brads to fasten the Ladybug's Wings to the body. This allows the kids to move the wings.

Braided Twine Bracelet
