BUNDLE OF JOY BABY PREGNANCY CALENDAR |with Traci

It's been many years since I was pregnant with our boys, but I remember that I kept pregnancy calendars for each one of them.  I started them the month I learned I was pregnant, and then recorded important dates and memories each month until they were born.  It was a fun way to document my pregnancies, so I thought I would create a similar project to share with you today!  This would make a cute gift for a new mom-to-be, or a perfect place to save your own precious memories!

The Daily Doodles sheets and stickers are perfect for this project!

I created the top border by adhering a 2" strip of Bundle of Joy pattern paper across the top.  I added the month stickers and some Odds and Ends to finish the top of each page.

Adding embellishments to the squares was the really fun part!  I used Mini Icon stickers, Sunshine number stickers, and some printed journaling spots., but you could easily handwrite the important dates and appointments.

I also used paper from the 6x6 paper pad.  They add fun spots of pattern to the calendar pages, and would also make cute mats for some small photos!

The shape sprinkles added a little shine and dimension to the pages ... that little bear is so stinkin' cute!! Oh, and play with Doodle stamps on the pages too!  I stamped a few phrases like "baby shower" and "cute as a button", and you could also use the calendar stamps to add the days of the month!

So if you know someone who's expecting, consider making her a special keepsake that she'll cherish throughout her 9 month journey.  Then, once baby is born, she can slip the calendar pages into a 12x12 album to cherish for years to come!  And don't forget, if you prefer blue to pink, the Special Delivery collection has you covered with cuteness too!

Daily Doodles Calendar Pages | with Traci

Wow, can you believe it's almost 2019?!  Before each new year, I create a wall calendar for my studio.  I use lots of scraps and left-over pieces and have fun designing twelve 12x12 pages. I loved the Daily Doodles calendar sheets last year, so I'm using them again.  Here are some of the pages I've completed so far. 

I have 4 clipart boards near my desk and I hang up four months at a time and then rotate them out with new pages as the year goes on.  At the end of the year, I put them in a scrapbook album!

I try to give each month a colorful theme using sprinkles, stickers, and odds & ends from lots of different collections.

I could really use up a ton of number stickers and rub-ons, so I don't add them to every square.  I like the look of just a few dates scattered around the page.

For the month titles, I used the daily doodles lily white month stickers.  I need to get more of these because they're also great for everyday scrapbook pages.

Christmas Town Calendar Layout | with Virginia

It's early November and as I'm writing this blogpost we are having our first snowfall!  It's so magical when the rooftops and trees are lightly dusted with white fluffies!

Do you have lots of holiday memories to document in anticipation to Christmas? My layout records receiving Santa's letter, a fun snow day, a family gathering and Christmas Eve all in one 12x12 layout!  Using one of the Daily Doodles calendar pages as the page base makes it easy to tell the story line of many events occurring in the month.

Have you seen some of the adorable washi tape rolls with this collection? I used a few patterns throughout my page and are a great way to draw attention to embellishment clusters and journaling strips.

I added some Christmas twine borders around the photos for some extra texture.  On this page I used pattern papers mainly from the 6x6 pad to keep everything small in scale.  The cut-apart square cards paper is perfectly scaled smaller to fit in one of the daily grids on the calendar page.

It's a busy fun-filled page for a busy month! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
