Calendar Challege: Fun with "Everyday" Photos with Tya

Hello Doodlebug fans - its Tya and I am up on the blog today sharing with you my calendar project. I decided to make a fun layout using the Daily Doodles calendar papers as my background and accent pattern papers.

I am such a sucker for anything grid themed, so when I was creating my layout I knew that the grid pattern on the calendar page would be the perfect base to build my layout on. I have so many "everyday" type of photos of my kiddos, it was fun to also do an "everyday" layout and have a "day" themed title to go along with the calendar theme. I cut my title from some kraft cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo. I used this saying here: It's A Beautiful Day.
On the back of each of the Daily Doodles calendar pages is a darling quatrefoil pattern so I used a few different colors of the calendar pages and added some rectangles underneath my photo.
I had a great time decorating this page. To start -I added a border of paper from the Swimming Pool  Daily Doodles calendar page that I cut into a scallop border with my Silhouette Cameo. I also added a strip of flower paper from the Springtime Spots pattern paper. I added a green ric rac sticker from the Spring Things This and That sticker sheet. I cut a bright yellow tag using my Silhouette Cameo and added three strands of bakers twine and topped the twine off with a square Bon-Bon Button.

Next - I used  a few of the acetate die cuts from the Spring Things Odds and Ends.
I used a cute sun and cloud and a bunch of flowers. I added some Matte Sprinkles to the flower centers for some dimension. I also added a striped heart to the sun and cloud. It is from the Odds and Ends pack as well.

I added a label sticker from the This and That sticker sheet to the top right of the Daily Doodle page. I added a tangerine square button to the top right as well.
To finish my page off I added some journaling strips mounted on some Limeade Daily Doodles.  I added one more square button in Swimming Pool to finish off the page.

That's all there is to it! I loved all the fun patterns and colors that the Daily Doodle calendar pages offered. It was fun to stretch the calendar pages and turn them into a scrapbook layout background. Thanks a bunch for stopping by the blog today! I hope I have inspired you to pick up some of these fun pages for your own! Happy Crafting everyone!  Have a great day!
