Pot O' Gold Collection: Paper Shamrock Shadow Box by Tya Smith

Hi there Doodlebug fans -it's Tya here and it is my turn to share with you my Pot  o' Gold project. I decided to add a little "lucky" decor to my walls  for St. Patrick's Day with this fun shadow box. I am using the 12x12 Black Shadow Box for my project.
This project was totally inspired by something I have had on my St.Patrick's Day Pinterest board for a while now so I was really excited to give this technique a try. I followed this tutorial from The Craft Patch and it was so quick and easy which is the name of the game when it comes to paper crafting in my book :)
For my paper strips I used (7) 2x12 inch Grasshopper Swiss Dot Petite Print, (7) 2x10 Lucky Stripes papers and (7) 8x12 Good Luck papers.  After I got all the paper strips glued together I added a couple of limeade doilies to the front of the shamrock. I cut the "Love" sentiment from one of the squares on the 4x4 square pattern paper sheets. I pop dotted the sentiment up for some added dimension.
I placed a sheet of Clover Patch pattern paper in the background of my shadow box.  I also added a strip of Lots of Luck Washi Tape to the top and bottom of my shadow box. I then hot glued the entire shamrock to the background paper.

To decorate the shamrock, I added a couple of cute Leprechaun girl and boy stickers from the Icon Sticker sheet as well as a cute little flower, round shamrock sticker and the pot of gold and a few gold coins. I also added a shamrock Sprinkles shape and a couple of matte Bright Sprinkles to spice it up a bit. Aren't the little leprechauns so cute?

I loved making this project! It went together so fast and it makes me so happy to see the cute smiling faces of the Leprechaun boy and girl! Hopefully I have inspired you to make one of these fun shadow boxes for your own St. Patty's Day decor - thanks so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!

Pot O' Gold Collection: Luck of the Irish Shadow Box by Courtney

Top o' the mornin' to ya, doodlebug fans!!!!! Courtney Lee from Court's Crafts here with a lucky St. Patrick's Day home decor piece using the brand new pot o' gold collection!

I am a redhead and I LOVE St. Patricks Day. It dawned on me that I had a shockingly small supply of home decor for this most-green-of-holidays. ;) Doodlebug to the rescue!!! I saw this "Luck of the Irish" 4x6 inch card and went straight to work!

I HAD to add the little leprechaun people. It's my husband and I and we feel SO very lucky to be married to the other person. So they are representative of us. :)

Then I had to add some sprinkles because I am just in love with sprinkles. I added the shamrock sprinkle to "my" leprechaun girl to give her headband some extra umph.

I added the shamrock doodlepop to the center of the shamrock on the card. I added a mat of mandarin cardstock behind my 4x6 card to give it some separation from the awesome "lucky stripes" background and finished it off by adding an orange sprinkle to the "i" in Irish. I feel like I found the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow with this one! :)

I hope this inspires you to make something for St. Patrick's Day that you can display and love as much as I love this little piece! Pick up some pot o' gold! You will love how well the collection flows together!

Pot O' Gold Collection: Home Decor & More Ideas from Piali

Hello Doodlebug Fans!!!

Piali here... today I have some projects using Pot O' Gold collections to share with you all.
Pot O' Gold is a St. Patrick's Day themed collection with super cute icons!!
I had to make a nice home decor with the beautiful quote print...
I love all the new Doodlebug collections come with a beautiful quote/saying print , the font is amazing. I used the 6x6 print for this frame.
I adhered the chunky twine all around the frame.
I added the Good Luck Doodle Pop and stickers to finish the project.

The best part about each Doodlebug collection is that they can be used beyond the theme.
I love to stretch my supplies... so I used Pot O' Gold collection to make a gift set!
A artsy gift st for a little budding artist.

Love the Rainbow and cloud icon....I designed the project around it.
I have created a card, circle tag for the bundle of pencil & brushes, a gift pouch for the gelatos and a candy jar topper.
The candy jar can be later used as a water container for water coloring.
I used chunky twine to tie the tag.

Hope you like these projects...
Thanks for stopping,
Happy Crafting!
