GINGERBREAD KISSES TREAT HOLDERS & ORNAMENTS | with Tya

Hello there! Are you all surviving the hustle and bustle of the holidays? It gets a little tricky this time of year to squeeze in some crafty time, but I made It happen this year by golly! I have adored working with the Gingerbread Kisses collection so much! I wanted to share a fun little treat holder with you today with a super fun pocket that holds a handmade ornament to give to all of those special someones on your list this year!

I followed this blog post to create the boxes. I used some 110-weight Kraft cardstock to construct my boxes. I did deviate slightly from the original and did not punch the hole to make it a door hanger. I simply added a 1/2 inch score mark at the top of the bag and adhered it to the top fold-over flap on a bag of these yummy Gingerbread Ghirardelli Chocolates. I decorated the bag with the "Cookies for Santa" pattern paper and some Pistachio Swiss Dot Petite Prints. Such fun colors in this collection!

I also made my own little gingerbread-themed ornaments that were so easy to make and SO fun to decorate with all sorts of little bits! I love how this simple little ornament was made with some chalk paint and one of these plastic art palettes from the dollar store! They look just like a little muffin or cupcake tin and I loved how it went along with the whole baking theme of the Gingerbread Kisses collection.

Here are a few close-ups of the ornaments:

These were decorated with some die cuts from the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat ephemera packs. I also added a clay ornament from my stash. I added some peppermint enamel dots from the Peppermint Place Shape Sprinkles to the clay ornaments to match the collection a little better. I found these itty bitty cookie cutters at the craft store, so I added some hot glue to the cup, added a few cookie sprinkles, and then placed my little ornament in the cup. Such a fun little addition! I also added some plastic peppermint candies to the cups. The gingerbread friends are hot glued to a cinnamon stick and some pretty greenery. I added a candy cane from the Icon Sticker sheet to the gingerbread friends. I also added a little bit of Stickles for some sparkle to the buttons and bows on the gingerbread. The ornaments are finished off with a festive striped bow and then some twine hot glued to the back to act as a holder for the ornament. I just had the BEST time making these! Kids would LOVE to make these too! Just be careful with the hot glue! :)

After the ornaments had all been put together, I added them to the front pocket along with some paper shreds. I decorated the front pockets of the holders with some more die cuts from the Odds and Ends, Chit Chat, Bits and Pieces, Warm Wishes Shape Sprinkles, and Enamel Dots. I added a small Lily White Mini Doily over the top flap and then glued the holder right to the flap of the bag of chocolates.

A little group shot action! :)

I hope these treat and ornament holders have inspired you to create your own fun and festive gifts! The "Gingerbread Kisses" collection was perfect for this gingerbread-themed project, and I had so much fun making them! Have a wonderful Holiday Season and we will see you next time! Happy crafting!

LET IT SNOW ORNAMENT & ENVELOPE | with Ashley

Hi All! Today I am sharing a new project made using the adorable Let It Snow collection. I decided to make a Christmas shaker ornament and coin envelope.

The envelope was made using a 12 x 12 piece of patterned paper, cut down so it would wrap around the ornament. It has a Velcro closure.

I used elements from the Odds & Ends and Chit Chat packs and the jewels to embellish the envelope. I included pops of red on the envelope like on the ornament.

The ornament was made tracing out a globe shape on white cardstock and cutting out twice. This image was lined with acetate and turned into a shaker using foam tape and white and light blue sequins. I also added ladybug doodle twine so it can hang off a tree or be used as craft room décor.

To embellish, I used doodle-pops and chit-chat elements from the collection. I wanted to add several pops of red to stand out against the white and clear backdrop.

I hope you liked seeing some details from this project. Happy Crafting!

Christmas Town Ornament and Gift Box | with Brigit

Christmas is right around the corner so it's time for me to start working on some homemade gifts that I like to give each year to some special friends. This year I'll be making some dome ornaments using the new Christmas Town collection.

Doodle-pops are perfect for this project because they already have the that layer look. Here I used the dear friends doodle-pop with some lily white textured cardstock for snow and festive flurry for the background. The dome I bought from amazon, it's half of a 100mm plastic fillable ornaments ball which after it's put together I glued down to a scalloped circle cut from ruby textured cardstock. For the bow and tie at the top I used both chunky and and regular doodlebug twine and the speech bubble is from the christmas town chit chat pack.

The box is a cut file from Lori Whitlock's shop, I used the ornament box disc 4 but altered the inside bottom piece with a half circle so my ornament would fit nice and secure inside the box. For the base of the box I used maple textured cardstock and layered the top and bottom with the front and back of the merry hearts. I used some stickers from the this and that and icon sticker sheets and a banner from the christmas town chit chat pack.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
