Hello, Doodlebug fans. Jennifer here and today I am sharing a project featuring the new
Fairy Tales collection. I created a birthday party treat holder using a
castle cutting file, also from the same collection.
The box is made out of chipboard and foam and is about 12” tall. The castle may look a little taller than the original design. That’s because I added about an inch and a half to the bottom so it wouldn't get lost, once the box was filled. I kept the bottom of the castle sparse and added all the fun details towards the top.
I decided to fill mine with chocolate coins, as I was inspired by the “You are the gold at the end of the rainbow” sticker. I ended up not using the sticker, but I loved the sentiment and kept the coins.
I kept the box design simple, just mirroring the scallop design from the castle for the edges. The box dimensions are about 5”X 10”. A half oval shape was used for the back of the box and was covered with the adorable happy cloud paper.
The sides of the box were covered with border strips from the collection, which added lots of color to the piece.
Of course, I had to add a unicorn or two to the project.
These guys are just the cutest!!
These sweet die-cut balloons were mounted to thick chipboard for durability and dimension.
Here's one last photo of the castle, before I go.
Thanks for joining me today, come back tomorrow for another Fairy Tales project.
