Hey Crafty Friends! It's Conny with a fun project using Hometown USA. If you know me, you know I had to make an album. This collection is patriotic, celebratory, and ready for documenting your 4th of July. This mini album measures 4" x 7.5" with a 2" spine and has space to hold all your celebration photos and a traveler's notebook at the back of the chipboard album.
Let's get started! For this chipboard mini album, I used (2) 4" x 7 1/2" pieces for the covers and (1) 2" x 7 1/2" pieces for the spine. I began by wrapping the chipboard with the red textured cardstock from the coordinating pack , the pieces measured approximately 12" x 9 1/2", leaving about a 1" border from the top, bottom, and sides. I used a Book Cover Guide to miter the corners and to ensure proper spacing between the spine and the covers. This tool is beneficial!

I used a red polyester ribbon as a close for the album's cover. On top of the red cardstock, I used the Red White and Blue striped cardstock. The measurements for the pieces are as follows: (2) 3 3/4" x 7 1/4" and (2) 3 1/4" x 6 3/4" for the front and back, and (1) 7 1/4" x 1 3/4" and (1) 6 3/4" x 1 1/4" for the spine. To embellish the cover, I used the "Sweet Land of Liberty" sticker from the cardstock stickers, along with Uncle Sam Doodle Pop, Freedom Fireworks Shaker Pop and a few Star Spangled Shaped Sprinkles.

I covered the chipboard inside the album with the Summer Celebration paper. On one side, there is a vibrant red, white, and blue fireworks design. For the spine, I used a 7 3/8" x 4" piece of paper and placed it in the middle, making sure to score the hinges. Then, I placed the 7 3/8" x 3 3/4" fireworks paper for the front inside cover and the 7 3/8" x 3 1/8" Picnic Plaid paper for the back cover. I embellished the album with odds and ends, as well as card stickers

That's all for this mini-album. I would love to hear your thoughts about it in the comments section. As always, I'm really looking forward to seeing the wonderful creations you come up with using Hometown USA!
