OVER THE RAINBOW DOODLE CUTS CARDS | with Karen

I am a total creature of habit. When I go to make cards, out come the stamps and the Odds and Ends collections and I get to work. But every now and again I like to challenge myself to try something different. So today, I decided to see what kinds of cards I could come up with using Doodlebug's Stand Alone Doodle Cuts. Let's just say that a whole lot of fun ensued!

There are two sets of Doodle Cuts that coordinate with the Over the Rainbow set so I decided to use both and then mix and match!

Closeup-1

I started by created the little gnome characters and then went from there. The most fun was designing their outfits. In fact, I changed them up a few times before I settle on the ones that you see.

It was a little bit like making paper dolls when I was a kid, and it was a blast! I often go for a similar effect with paper piecing stamps, but because of the size of these die cuts, I was able to utilize the patterns on the 6x6 paper more effectively because they are a bit bigger. then I just went to town creating mushrooms, flowers...

...and this adorable sun to create little scenes.

Puffy-Stickers

Oh, and then, because I couldn't resist the amazing Puffy Icons that coordinate as well, I used those to embellish the bottom of the envelopes that I was using for this card set. Puffy Stickers?!!! Oh yeah!

All-three-final

I can't wait to give this cute set away. I really love the dimension and bright colours that were created with this product. They really are "So Much Fun"!  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

OVER THE RAINBOW LUCKY RAINBOW LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing another layout using the adorable Over The Rainbow collection. When we were stationed in Hawaii a few years ago, we saw rainbows multiple times a day! Once we moved back to Louisiana for the second time, we didn't see them quite as often so when we finally got one, I just HAD to snap a photo of it! This collection is perfect to document such a gorgeous photo. Not only are there rainbow elements, but it also has a lot of "lucky" elements. So why not use both?! Here's my page:

I am loving all of the four leaf clovers in this collection and my crafty friend suggested I create my own using a heart punch. So I took a heart punch from my stash and punched a bunch of hearts using the green patterned papers in the 6x6 paper pad. Next, I punched out a small circle so that I could adhere the hearts to them. To finish them off, I cut out little stems and popped each one up on foam tape. They were so easy to make and turned out so cute!!

I used textured white cardstock as my base and matted it on the 12x12 Spring Garden patterned paper for some extra pops of color. For my title, I used a phrase from the Chit Chat packed and added onto it using the super cute Alphabet Soup stickers in Limeade, Cupcake, Bumble Bee and Swimming Pool. I adhered the second half of my title onto a couple of clouds that I drew and cut out by hand. I even added some ink to the edges along with some silver glitter for some sparkle!

Next, I matted my photo using more papers from the 6x6 paper pad and layered a few Bits + Pieces behind it. Both the "Happy Go Lucky" and "Garden Gnome" Doodle Pops were perfect additions to this page so I added them both! They are so fun and bring a bit of whimsy to this whole design.

I wanted to add extra four leaf clovers to my layout, so I took the "Lots of Love" Shape Sprinkles and adhered them around the page. They are so cute and added even more pops of green.

Here's one last look at this colorful page!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! Have you made your own four leaf clovers with a heart punch before? They're so fun and easy to make and they go so well with this collection! See you in my next post friends!

OVER THE RAINBOW SPRING LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Spring is in the air! To celebrate, I have created a Spring themed layout using the AMAZING Over the Rainbow collection! This collection is so fun, cute and vibrant!

I chose a triangular design for my layout today and made good use of the 6' x 6' paper pad. I chose a variety of the gorgeous papers from the 6' x 6' paper pad, measured and cut them 4 of them to one size and then cut 4 more to a slightly smaller size. I then arranged and adhered them to a plain white cardstock background, adhering the larger ones first and then slightly offsetting the smaller ones over the top.

Once I was happy with how the papers looked, I trimmed down the white cardstock to measure 11' x 11' and adhered this to the Over the Rainbow striped paper. I also drew some faux stitching with a black journal pen through the centre of the triangle papers. In the top right corner I adhered my photo and layered one of the small note cards from the Bits and Pieces pack underneath. I popped up my photo using craft foam and added some Icon stickers, Sprinkles and Die-Cuts.

In the top left corner, I adhered the adorable sun again using craft foam to pop him up from the page, I also added a cloud die-cut here. The bottom right I added my title which is the Spring word from the Odds and Ends pack, I popped the title up using craft foam again and adhered another phrase banner piece, a heart sticker and a small flower die-cut.

The bottom left corner I adhered the gorgeous rainbow using craft foam and layered the phrase banner over the top. I love the Doodle Pops so much and just had to add that super cute mushroom to this area. I also adhered another small mushroom die-cut here and one of the cute butterfly stickers too. Lastly I stamped the date stamp and that finished my layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you are inspired to create using your Over the Rainbow collection too!
